Baffled more like.
Baffled as in, I keep thinking how many times can Garnacho keep skying the ball countless times all season before he's told by the team to STOP SHOOTING ON SIGHT and use your fecking eyes.
This. A thousand times this.

I could go over our issues but that defensive performance from Forest was epic.

Those two CBs combined cost a quarter of one Harry Maguire. Williams is a whinging prick but what a shift he puts in and that lad Yates is an absolute warrior of a captain.
I did enjoy the commentary fact that Milenkovic's top 5 players of all time had Vidic at 1,2 and 3.

progress with the style of play

shot quality and chance creation not close to where it needs to be

feel like it's a personel issue and a couple of killers in attack are needed

Feel like Hojlund needs to start, Zirkzee isn't a 9.

I don't think it was a bad performance overall, albeit with one or two bad individual displays from the younger players. It looks to me as if the system structure is starting to click a bit more but the attack is still pretty useless.

As losing goes that is somewhat of an improvement. You could see what we were trying to do but we just don't have the forward players to do it.

I fully back Amorim and think if backed he will get it right. However, to succeed he really needs the perfect player for his system in each position, I don't see him getting that from INEOS which is a concern.

Garnacho, Anthony, Rashford and Rasmus should all be moved on, we need to readdress the forward positions completely.

As I post this, just seen the Elanga goal again... Onana's positioning looks way off to me, useless.

Completely bossed Forest in all honesty, which is encouraging considering where they are in the league.

We are absolutely toothless up top though. It’s quite atrocious how we can’t score after 23 shots.

Garnacho lets himself down big style. He’s either rushing things or he just ain’t good enough. Pretty sure my right foot would have been more use that his tonight.

It’s a real shame because I feel like we’re turning a corner.

Who cares. I don't anymore. Had my season ticket for over 15 years and gave it up this year. Financially best decision i've made. Should have done it after 2013. I'm 53. Will united ever recover...not in my life time. United is dead. No need for post match threads anymore. Just copy and paste i have to say.

Ive not watched Forest play much this season, but happy to see them doing well.

Watched the game tonight and ive changed my mind, a lot of diving and play acting, footballers really do not care one bit how embarrassing they look sometimes.

It’s sad how little our wings produced today. Either hopeful crosses or pass backs. I miss the days when our wingers loved one on ones and skinned defenders. Now we just stop if there is someone in front, and nothing comes into the box on the ground.

A bit more accuracy and willingness to win one on ones, and we win that game easily. Our attack really needs reinforcement.

Much better play and ball progression today though. Hopefully we can turn it up for the Europa and score some goals

Was it only good when we were winning mate?

Yates was the worst

This squad is so limited. The thought of going into yet another season with such a limited squad of players is depressing.

Is it too much to have a few players that are fast and can dribble and create chances?

Watching Garnacho stumble into a dead end or Zirkzee flick the ball to no one or casa launch another long hopeful ball or Hojlund wrestle himself.

Gash. Couldn't convert a single chance.

Until we upgrade our forward options, that's the way it'll be. How the hell we have allowed ourselves to become so utterly toothless is a scandal.

Forest are a horrible side.

We had one slabbed effort cleared by a defender. Other than that, did their keeper make a save that could not have been simply controlled with his chest? (I know he caught the ball a couple times without needing to move his feet.)

I only saw the second half. We must have done all our playing well in the first half.

Not did they, goal aside.

Need to remember that Forest are quite clear a better team currently, and also at home.

We definitely played well, despite still being far from the level we need to be.

Great performance in my opinion. Yes our shots didn’t go in but overall we outplayed them and sometimes the better team loses. They are a good side and we made them celebrate like they won a cup win, they were so relieved.

Really weird game, stats wise.

All 9 of these chances closest to goal accounted for 0.997 of that 1.66 xG and the fell to Maguire x 3, Dorgu x 2, Casemiro x2, De Ligt and Dalot.

Recognised forward players completely anonymous from where you want them to be.

Never have I wanted to scream into a pillow as much as when he repeatedly cuts in and shoots. WHY??? Even more baffling that NO ONE has a go at him! I'd hook him off straight away after that third shot he skied. In the first half he had dorgu wide open to the left and about 5 forest players to the right. What does he decide to do? cut in!!! Mind boggling! The guy's ego is in a different stratosphere. He probably has, with no exaggeration, an average of 6 shots a game and has score a grand total of 3 in the prem! Disgustingly selfish!

Good on Elanga & Forest well done. EPL is irrelevant now, the likes of Zirkzee, Casemiro, Eriksen, Maguire shouldn't play anymore and play more youngsters. Europa is the only focus.

Outside of Bruno, Maguire may be our 2nd most effective attacker.

Decent performance.
Forest rode their luck a lot and didn’t really create anything apart from their goal whereas we wasted numerous promising opportunities.
Garnacho needs to keep the fuxking ball down when shooting.
It’s the story of our season though we don’t have a cutting edge up front despite (today at least) some pretty tidy play in midfield.
Better sides than us have lost to forest this season but on balance we deserved at least a draw from that.
Not bothered really as we are never going to get anywhere league wise but frustrating night to overall.

I only saw the second half, got the kick of time wrong, but I saw nothing positive. All these comments about, we played well, we are getting better.

That must have happened in the first half. I saw an awful football team.

My favourite bit of shithousing was when the forest player shoved Bruno with both hands in the chest then fell to the floor holding his face... the replay showed it clearly but the commentary team said "both as bad as each other there"

Then Casemiro got booked for a basic foul, but Williams or Yates went in late on Bruno and no yellow.

You're going on ignore as well. One of the most negative posters on here you are.

I will think so much of Amorim if we start with the big man up top before the seasons out. Honestly, I’ll never have a word against the manager, even if we get relegated. It would be just too magical

We have more than one deficiency, but the most glaring deficiency in our game is the lack of finishing touch. Fix that with a proper striker and we're a decent side capable of swatting away clubs like Forest.

2nd time we beat Forest on xG. It was a decent performance tonight but even if xG is indeed as big as this is suggesting, it felt like we didn't really create that much. But again - Bruno's shot at the start, Bruno header, Dalot header that hit the crossbar were good chances in first half. Second half was that shot from Mount and Maguire's two chances. That actually altogether is not bad against Forest who have been a really good side this season, but still frustrated with our attack as always.

Everyone being very very negative but I thought we played some of the best football I've seen us play in a while. There was a passage of play starting from Dorgu on the left where we played out of pressure beautifully. Yes going forward we were poor but there are signs of improvement definitely.

We've had much much worse than this, at least we played well for parts of the game.

Im guessing you wont switch to support any of the vast majority of teams that dont win trophies then. Only sing when your winning?

Yep....lot's of positives and intensity for a change. We actually won some first headers at corners... which is a rarity. Forest have a top notch defence and we still made chances but never caught a break. A more physical striker that plays between between the posts would help. Inside Garnacho's head he must think pr wish he's Ronaldo....crazy stuff, turning into trouble constantly. Surely 60mio would get you better than that.
