Understand others sentiments about a point gained.

BUT

At risk of sounding like a whinging cnut, I dont think that was in the spirit of the game. One of the truly great PL fixtures, been looking forward to it all day and feel thoroughly short changed by the lack of entertainment. Felt like LVG was in the dugout again.

Herrera one major positive, he was excellent.

Very organised performance. Given Liverpool's inflated confidence coming into the game a good away point. The Martial and Mkhi injuries rather robbed us of attacking changes to make, particularly pace on the counter.

Embarrassing from us. They're made out to be this great attacking side but tonight showed they're massively overrated. Why we sat off them in the second half I'll never know. We better hope Martial and Mikhi transform this team. Other than that we need a top quality sitting midfielder whose actually good on the ball. Pogba needs to get his shit together. Ibra was as bad tonight as any Rooney performance for us. Need Rashford up top as much as possible. Defensively pretty solid but we have to be more ambitious, especially against a Pool side who are there for the taking.
Embarrassing?

This place is unreal. We nullify a side everyone on here is convinced will smash us and it's still 'embarrassing'.

Good point. If only Zlatan hit the target with that header. Bit worried abouth is form (missed a sitter against Stoke).

I doubt many teams will hold Liverpool scoreless at Anfield, so a good point and performance. Thought Herrera was brilliant as well.

Good point, probably what Mou went for, bullshit yellow cards for us, very good game from Herrera and Fellaini in midfield, shit game from Ibra. Pogba's done nothing of note apart from that cross again which is a bit of a worry, good games from Bailly and Valencia too imo, great saves from DDG.

Shame we didn't have Martial for today, probably Mkhitaryan too, we've had very little to hit them on a break today.

I'll take that point all day long, in the context of recent form that's a great point.
It's not a great point though. We couldn't even test their 'keeper. That might be great for Hull or Sunderland, but it's not good enough for United.

Herrera brilliant, Fellaini impressive, De Gea - De Gea.
Pogba needs to start from the deep, that way he has more space to operate in and can fully use his passing range, he played as a second striker most of the time.
Blind unusually poor, even though he had good moments.
Valencia could've used his chances better, but that tackle

Anyway, not a bad result. Jose should've reacted faster with the subs, imo, but it's a point gained.

An away draw at Anfield is a good result any season. An away draw at Anfield against an in form Liverpool is a great result.

It was mostly a dull game, but our players ran their socks off. They were pushed towards the end as we started to run out of steam, but we kept going.

Herrera was industrious and played very well as did the defence and De Gea. Pogba really struggled and looked a little lost.

Typical Mourinho display. He got his tactics spot on, but he should have freshened up the midfield sooner.

Got what we came for. Ibra and Pogba had really bad performances, if they were at least decent we could have won this game.

Came for a point and got one, considering how everyone expected pre kick off to demolish us I'll take that and could have nicked all 3 if Ibra hadn't blown his chance.

Herrera MOTM by a country mile, need more from our attackers though. Can't believe how poor Rashford, Young and Pogba were today.

Concerned about our lack of attacking threat, i know Zlatan can make things happen, but he doesnt do enough in general play. Pogba, what exactly does he do, other than haircuts and ads?
Pogba had a shit game individually, ibras hold up play was off today, and then our 2 best attackers with martial and miki were injured. So there you go

We need Martial and Mkhitaryan. Attack wise its hard to make anything

Satisfied with the point.

Ref as expected slightly biased towards the scouse, not a bad performance though.

Gormless Hendo trying to channel his inner "let me have a word, la'" routine with the ref

The insufferable prick Milner throwing himself like a rabid dog into our players time after time and then goes down like a sack of potatoes, of course he doesn't ever get a yellow or freekick against. Commentators presenting it as him having to go off because he has been tackled a lot, while the truth is he has to go off because he tried to tackle a lot.

Herrera bossing it, from now on he should be a mainstay in midfield, and I think Jose agrees

Zlatan needs to fecking get his footballshoes back on and stop with those shit layoffs

Scousers still the most insufferable cnuts in the league, and that takes some doing with that pretentious tapas twat that invented football over at City.

Our games against Liverpool under lvg were by far his finest moments. He got it spot on in all the league fixtures

Except for Burnley this was our worst performance of the season and you lot couldn't even muster a shot on target. No way do you deserve top four.

We stopped you playing.
Had we played with more attack, you would also have attacked more and probably won.
The aim from around 50 minutes onwards, seemed to have been to prevent you from scoring.

I do understand your frustration though - Mourinho will do that. ;)

Positives: That was an extremely disciplined performance. It's good signs that the players are taking on Mourinho's instructions and the spirit of the players was something we haven't seen for a while.

Negatives: If we set up like that, we have to make sure we aren't as dysfunctional in attack. Rashford was very poor, and made some bad decisions. Ibrahimovic was absolutely appalling. Martial has that left wing spot, but RW is still an issue. I don't know why Lingard didn't play. It's vital Mikhitariyan gets up to speed and integrated into the side because that spot is there for the taking.
Get Micki on the right and Marcus up front and I can see us being more dangerous. Oh and Martial on the left of course.

I think if we'd beaten Stoke, as we should have, that point tonight would appear much better.

Personally I think that was definitely a point earned and I'll happily take that. One of Mourinho's greatest strengths is his pragmatism and tonight I think it served us well.

I'd rather our manager was more brave but all things considered (Liverpool form, lack of Martial and Mkhitarian) I can understand it.

Defence looks good, midfield was decent today too. Attack is disjointed but no surprise considering we tried to commit max 3 players going forward.

The point was the only positive. Everything else was pretty disappointing.

Herrera MoTM. Valencia and Bailly had good performances too.

Pogba, Zlatan and Rashford were poor though.

Have people forgotten some of our performances at anfield under Fergie? Even when we stole 1-0 wins with O shea and Tevez winners, Liverpool battered us or at least dominated us much more than they did today. Complaining about Jose's tactics seems odd.

You are right. Memories of goldfish.

We only won 1 corner the whole game.
If we had have won 5-6 corners I think we would have won 1 or 2-0.
Ibra was crap.
Herrera was great.
Bailly has been amazing this season. Our best player this season.

Embarrassing?

This place is unreal. We nullify a side everyone on here is convinced will smash us and it's still 'embarrassing'.
Maybe that's because we're Manchester bloody United? When was the last time you heard Barcelona or Bayern happy that they "nullified" an opponent? Even City for goodness sake are not happy doing that any more. We are the richest club in the league, the biggest and most successful and you don't find it strange that it is seen as a positive that we could "nullify" and "get a job done" on a team that miles behind us financially?

A point at Anfield against a very good Liverpool side is a decent result. Onwards and upwards...

I think the problem was in the front 3. We really got the midfield right for most of that first half but we couldn't take advantage of it which let Liverpool get in to the game as you can't play at that pace all game.

Young did a solid defensve job but simply doesn't offer enough in attack. That might be ok if we did have a proper threat on the other flank but Rashford isn't really that. Loads of potential but not massively effective out wide and was a bit slow at times to make the right runs. It's a big problem in our wide options, no one offers the full package. Hopefully Mikhi can get in and get to his Dortmund levels.

Up top as well, whilst Imbra had his moments he just didn't have the pace we needed, again up top we miss someone in their prime who has both the experience and the pace/strength.

It's a point gained.

I know we always do poorly at Anfield, but man that 2nd half was awful. We didn't show any attacking intent and looked clueless. Couldn't even keep a decent spell of possession more than once.

Just not that thrilled. Think we've got lots of issues.

Pogba/Ibra were terrible. I don't know how we keep buying world class/great players and they just turn to shit when they arrive here.

Comfortable first half and very good pressing.
Last half hour sat back too much, less pressing.
DDG two very good saves but little else to do.
Herrera very good match. Zlatan very poor match.
Young Ok defensively but offered nothing going forward.
Overall very wasteful with the few chances we made.

All of those predicting a twatting should apologise.

Masterful spoiling of the game there. No other team will go to Anfield and shut them down like that.

Top, top stuff.

Why would they smash us exactly?? To hell with what everyone thinks, they are an average side, with average players and we failed to stamp our authority. We're Man United FFS, this Liverpool team is nothing to aim to nullify, we should be dominating them.
