Talking nonsense all day, who cares how it's done at Anfield. Besides we were missing our two best passing midfielders today but stayed in the game and got the result.

Except the first real shot that ddg saved with his foot or shin I would expect him to save those efforts. Clearly he was our man of the match but sometimes the supporters fawn over him so much. He went walkabout and nearly gave a goal away.

I don't give a flying divebombing thundercunting feck how we played. We won at Anfield. That is all. Perfect weekend.
True …
you should work in the tabloids lifting that line, yet ignoring the "of course he's playing very good"
Are you kidding – what's wrong with saying, after being asked about DdG's match-winning performance, "Yes, he's one of the best goal keepers in the world and that's why we value him so much." I don't care if English is his third language, he should never sell out one of his own players.

You think that's nonsense? 95% on the Caf thought it was a lot worse than just 'sad to see'.

Besides, I don't get the missing players argument either. We missed our two best players today as well in case your forgot.

Blimey Charlie, they weren't exactly cutting us to ribbons!

Heard some nobber "expert" say, if they'd had Sturridge, Sterling and Suarez it could have been 4 or 5. Did they even have that many chances, or was he "just saying"

It's like us "just saying" if we had peak Ronaldo, Best and Charlton we'd have beaten them 4,5-0
Well yeah, the Liverpool which had Sturridge/Sterling/Suarez was a completely different entity to the current side, however we could ordinarily have expected to face Coutinho today.

How crap was Memphis again when he came on? Not at the races again. A ground out result, not pretty, but we won. As long as we keep on winning, LVG keeps his job. Buckle up for the mediocre ride to the end of the season. Martial looked sharp again as did Rooney. DDG just did his usual.

We were awful but we can worry about that next week. There's really nothing better than beating the scousers at Anfield no matter how you manage to do it.

He made saves that you'd expect him to make, but he kept us in the game and it was an excellent performance, which is more than can be said for the rest of the team.

yeah but thts the job of a keeper aint it? Its like calling Rooney marvellous and outstanding because he scored a goal. Thats what he is in the team for.

I'd personally like DdG to stay and not sure that sort of personal attack will help. So far well over 80% of the CAF have voted DdG MOTM so it might have been nice to say something warm and cosy about him don't you think? The sort of comment that LvG made will hardly help. Can you imagine SAF saying anything like that shit?

He said 'other than the 2 saves he had nothing to do. But of course he is playing very well for us." There is nothing that can even be mistaken for critiscism here

Some people are acting like we got battered, which is nonsense. Yes, Liverpool had more and better chances, but they came from quick counters and set pieces. We were never under sustained pressure.

Awful game of football. Liverpool showing slightly more quality but (worryingly) a lot more fight than we did. They dominated the 50/50's and looked sharper despite playing a day after we did this week.

Result aside, the problems continue. We have simply no idea how to score goals any more. I found myself getting worked up around the hour mark when we had possession of the ball in their penalty area. Nothing happened obviously, but it speaks volumes about our performance.

This is not a team that is improving. Quite the opposite. We won't get top 4 on this form. Why aren't we making changes? Why aren't we bringing in players this month?

Maybe its not the right time to moan. We just won at Anfield. Its what i feel like posting though. This is the worst season of football I can recall from a United team.

Sad to see? Winning at Anfield? Absolute goon.

Did he think it was sad to see when we were awful but O Shea got a last min winner? Doubt it

Schmeichel is a moron. The less attention he gets, the better.

Exactly. What's his problem? I thought he didn't sound happy when we won....bizarre reaction:confused:

He played in games like that. Remember CL final in 99. His side could be dire. Funny how they forget.

Awful game and United were horrible, but 3 points is now all that matters, there is no more room for chasing good performances. If we dont get top four we fall further behind and even Mourinho might not want us. Left with Giggs, No Champions league and this squad would be a nightmare.

No no, we are sad to see. This Manchester fecking United and we are playing dire fecking football. Today is more of a lucky break in a streak so so so terrible.

He did pick out Rooney's contribution though.

Great result but it just papers over the cracks in terms of our top 4 chances. Perform like that against Southampton next week and we'll very likely get beaten.

7 points from top, 2 behind top 4. How the feck is that possible? If we can sign an attacker and a good defender, we could easily be close to the top. Its strange strange season.

That was at half time which was wank so he wasn't wrong. We improved a lot in the second half.

We're going through that period Liverpool did, where you have a real sea of talking heads from the glory days trying to earn their corn in the media.

And a lot of it is absolute guff.

Brilliant 3 points but after 18 months we don't even resemble a team. The players look like strangers who don't understand each other.

It's kinda crazy to react like that though. Don't care how much money he's making, it's shit from him. He sounded like someone died at the end of the game. And coming from a United ambassador as well:rolleyes: Glazers and Woodward sure wasting their money here:rolleyes:

"DdG not a fantastic, marvellous goalkeeper today"

… and there was I thinking that a win despite his crap tactic (philofeckingsophical-or-not) would keep him in his job … them's sackable words IMHO!
He talks him up more on BBC. I think that David De Gea always reaches a level that is amazing but he is also the goalkeeper and has to stop those kind of balls I think.

Just watched the replay. Not a great performance, but DELIGHTED with the win!

Huge win! Let's push on from now.

Why is it more important for LVG to fail than the team winning again?
Team monopolises the ball it's boring, we'd rather lose than sit thru this rubbish.
Team try to play expansive end to end and loses/draws accumulate, the manager doesn't have a clue and doesn't know how to win games.
Team winning again, what a poor performance.
Can people just say what their true agenda is rather than hiding behind baseless arguments. You don't have to be praising the manager or the team but credit the lads for waking up from the recent slumber. It's bordering annoying now. That was a good win in whatever context it's put, teams have getting the same result against United all season and we give them the credit wishing it was us. How is it wrong for United to dig deep but perfection if done by our rivals.

Schmeichel is a moron. The less attention he gets, the better.
I can see why that performance would be disappointing if you are looking at it clinically rather than through the eyes of someone who hates the dippers with a passion.

The fact is that we didn't play well and nicked a 0-1 win. While I don't care because we beat Liverpool if it had been any other team I wouldn't be quite so happy and would have moaned about another poor performance.

I know what you mean, but he was the best player on the pitch for us. I think he deserved the credit. If I was DDG listening to that, I'd be a little bit miffed.

I hope DDG can see past LVG, and know how the fans feel about him (as well as there being a chance we might improve once he's gone).

Maybe he said it to brush over the fact Liverpool produced more than us today?
Who knows though, the man is special.
