Can’t wait to see Ugarte under Amorim again. Great match today.

Good lord was Rashford cack. Dalot becoming a massive liability. With him as second choice behind Mazza and Shaw/Malacia on the left we should be ok.

Let’s see what Amorim can do with Hojlund but he is seriously poor. Zirkzee no better. I suppose we put up with them for the rest of the year and break the bank for a real centre forward.

Has Onana sneakily become the best keeper in the Prem??

After a poor start it was nice to see us comfortably win without the chaotic Cra o served up by Ten Fraud. Bides well for Amorim’s entrance

It was a great game with a great result. We needed it.

Can't help to think that if Erik started Amad more and played Ugarte-Casemiro midfield with Eriksen replacing Bruno instead, when Bruno was being shit, he probably would still be around and we would be way higher in the league

Incredible how poor choices among players they already had sunk both Ole and Erik. At least Ole was a relatively more naive manager, we expected much more from Erik

After reading some of these posts I had to check the fixture list
I was right we just beat Leicester, for a moment I thought we had beaten Liverpool

Some people need a reality check.
3 shots on target
Hermansen only had to make 1 save, Onana 5
1 corner to Leicesters 5
12 headers won to Leicesters 19
in 90 minutes we had 17 touches in their penalty area
51% posession against 49%

Play like that against LIverpool and we will get mullered

Give your heads a wobble
It's your head that needs a wobble, we won this game comfortably, Leicester created 1 chance the whole game, this is exactly the type of game we lost under the previous manager

I bet the winter nights just fly by in your house. Cheer up. We did win you know.

If we’ve shown to be effective at scoring goals without a clinical striker, and defensively effective without even putting in Yoro yet along with Shaw/Malacia, then I feel much reassurance going forward.

Thank you Ruud. Onwards to Amorim!

Harsh but there are valid points here. Still much more to improve. Hope we can snag some talent in January to help with what you mentioned.

Some of the takes in here are so negative it’s difficult to figure if the folks making them actually enjoy watching football.

I understand we all see different things but we were 2 up at half time, comfortable all second half.

Enjoyable and stress free. Was a much easier watch than most of this season. I’ll take that any time.

Yes will always get someone on here moaning after a comfortable win. Leicester coming into this game had only lost twice away this season 2-1 v Fulham and 4-2 v Arsenal and the latter game was level in added time.

Managing only 3 shots on target at home against a really poor Leicester side is terrible though, even bottom of the table Saints managed 7 on target against them.

Here we have two perfect examples of fans who have low standards, I'll be these were the same people who were partying after we beat Bansley.
Have we sunk so low that we now celebrate beating a struggling ex Championship side.

I never got the chance to watch Ruud Van Nistelrooy as a player but atleast I watched him on the touch line as a manager.

Good win today! Perfect send off for Ruud and perfect atmosphere for Amorim to begin work on.

The game wasn’t perfect by any means but it was a routine win, the kind of win we lacked under the previous manager.
MOTM Bruno with Ugarte not far behind. Bring on the Amorim Era! GGMU!

What does that have to do with us beating them, FFS is this how we judge our own performances now ?
I'll bet you were over the moon because Brighton beat City, and use it as an ecuse for them beating us?

Sky Sports ratings.
Man Utd: Onana (6), Mazraoui (7), De Ligt (6), Martinez (6), Dalot (6), Casemiro (5), Ugarte (7), Amad (7), Fernandes (8), Rashford (5), Hojlund (6).
WTAF were they watching.
If Dalot had been rated as 1 it would have been 1 too many.

After watching that today I’m now convinced Marcus Rashford has forgotten how to play football , for whatever reason he’s a shadow of what he was when he first came into the side , crying shame , we all know he’s got the talent , let’s hope Ruben can find it

Already long time i have felt that he have lost his passion to play football. Or something like that. He doesn't look happy, he doesn't work enough. He has tools to be a good player. But i don't know can he fix this in United. Maybe it is time for a change.

So according to them Dalot was as good as De Ligt and Martinez whose ratings are too low and Casemiro was 5. Where do they get 5 from.

Unbelievable. Must have been a caf member’s ratings. Probably not though, as Bruno would have had a 5.
Nah, they don't look at performances through rose tinted glasses with more bias than a crown green bowling ball.

Solid performance and a comfortable win, which we've not been used to for a while. We've looked a little bit more stuctured under Ruud, the Casemiro and Ugarte midfield has helped with that and Ugarte was terrific today. Amad massively helps with our pressing. De Ligt and Mazraoui were as reliable as ever.

We won

Comfortably

With very little drama

Not sure those stats are relevant unless you’re looking for reason to not be cheerful.

This response isn’t a personal dig by the way :)

That really doesn't matter though. There's other games where we've had powers of chances and probably a decent amount of shots on target, hit the bar/post etc and still lost the game.

Football matches don't work the same way all the time, having lots of shots on target can be a sign of a good performance, but it doesn't guarantee anything. What's important is doing enough to win the game, which we did against Leicester.

Get in there.

Comfortable win, no drama and almost everyone dropping points around us means theres still a possibilty things can be turned around.

Feels like the first games under ole - where our very talented players are allowed express themselves again, and we have a great chance to win based on those moments. great goal from bruno and garnacho adding to the list of crackers from recent weeks. bruno scored so many goals like that for sporting in the 18 months before joining us.

An ex-Championship side that has won the PL more recently than we have, it was a decent performance overall, we won and we won easily, I'm happy when we win and not happy when we lose, all you do is fecking whinge about standards

Erik's main responsibility is to sabotage United. I cannot understand why we are so poor under Ten Hag. Ruud as a temporary manager has a zero lost record and a positive +8 goals difference. He still play with 2 ineffective player like Hoijund and Rashford, yet he is able to win a few games. I guess he must be wondering if he will ever get a job in a big club. My answer is a big No.

Oh please, don't give that crap!
Leicester won the EPL ! nine flipping years ago, it's not the same team.
Where did I say I wasn't happy about winning?
This lot couldn't beat Brighton, struggled against Southampton, had 3 shots at goal today, one goal was an own goal.
Yet everyone is treating like we beat Liverpool 7-0 at Anfield

And yes, it is about standards, without standards you are nothing, as Roy Keane said arriving on time is being late.

If Amorim does what he says he will do, you will see the standards return to this team and the club, he's got the reputation of being ruthless, there are going to be some ruffled feathers, he doesn't suffer ego's

Until we get better forwards, I fear we will continue to struggle scoring goals no matter who the manager is. We got three today, with one own goal and two excellent finishes that are kind of low percentage shots. Besides those, I remember that one good chance for Amad. I don't think Rashford or Højlund had a shot. In fact, we created less than 1 xG and slightly less than Leicester as well.

Will be interesting to see if Amorim can get a tune out of them, but I am skeptical. The player material needs major work.

Because he is lettign them play, instead of trying to force a system the players didn't like, TEn Hag was all about a system, a process, and wasn't flexible in his approach to games.

Am pretty sure some of the people moaning here didn't even watch the match. This match is an example of how stats can be very misleading. Most of Leicester's shots on target were soft shots which Onana didn't even have to stretch to reach, with the exception of that save from Ayew. On the other hand, we had several good opportunities that didn't result in goals, such as Amad's chance at the stroke of half time. But more importantly, we freaking controlled the match and was cruising. This was something ETH never managed

Some can't see this, we are relying on too few players to do the scoring, Amad is good, but we can't burn him out, like ETH did to Garnacho, but the temptation is to play him beccause he scores and assists.
We need more consistent rotation

It s perfectly fine to say I'm happy we won but the perormance should have been better, but you didn't say any of that that did you

What was the score ?

Is it better than losing to Ipswich at home ?

feck me we are a club who just sacked their manager, forgive people for being happy about a 3-0 win

I call this period Vibes FC.

We actually did well for entire 90 min.

Like it that the subs were made for underperforming players and not just some random subs that doesn't make sense.

Amorim has big decision to make on Ruud.

No I didn't, because I expected a win, we got a win, against a very poor team, if that team had been Arsenal, Liverpool or City and we had won 3-0 I would have been overjoyed
However it wasn't, the performance by some players was terrible, and we come back to standards, some players can only lift themselves for "big" games, we need Liverpool performances in every game, there are tougher tests to come.

We would have beten this lot with ETH in charge, yes they are that bad
The same problems are still there, poor performances hidden by an expected win

Oh please. Whining about standards when we just sacked our previous manager and were stuffed on a frequent basis by the likes of Bournemouth, Spurs, Crystal Palace, etc…

Just enjoy the “routine” win because it hasn’t been routine for a while.

Look at the context here. Jeez…

Ruud has done well. Amorim will be walking into a dressing room where confidence is already coming back which is great. Excited for the rest of the season.

This was one of those job done performances — yes, against a mid table club — that we were incapable of putting together under the bald manager.
