Comfortable win, which is unusual this season. However, i'm not entirely happy.
Positives:
-Win, clean sheet
-some decent individual performances
-overall dominance throughout the whole game.

Negatives:
-Rashford is still absolutely useless
-poor performance from de Ligt and Dalot
-only one goal from an attacker
-still zero connection between the wingers and Hojlund
-Zirkzee.
Might as well just say you don’t like the Dutch.

Trying to be positive, and trying to ignore the "it's only Leicester" thoughts ... Mf looked solid, amad good again, Bruno playing with a bit of freedom.
Mazraoui and ugarte were excellent

Dalot, hojlund, rashford should all be dropped.

We are far from perfect, or at times even that good, but Ruud has had us playing more as a team, simplified the tactics, tightened up midfield and we are 100 times better that we were under Ten Hag for the last 18 months.

We clearly did not create enough chances, Hoijlund getting some criticism but he is clearly trying and it is just not clicking for him, I am sure it will, especially if the service into him improves.

I am normally a staunch defender of Rashford, I want attackers attacking and defenders defending, so when he does not kill himself defending I do not mind so much, but given that Amorim is coming in and players should believe they have a clean slate and the opportunity to impress (like Amad has) today's performance by Rashford was one of the worst I have ever seen him put in, contributed less than nothing, was all over the pitch instead of where he should have been, I know it is not the done thing but I would have hooked him after 30 minutes.... and like I say I am normally happy to cut slack and defend him, still hopeful Amorim turns him around, but very disappointed today.

As good as Ugarte, Amad and Bruno were today, I think De Ligt is looking very settled and solid, and Maz is the bargain buy of the season for us, great player, every time I see him I cannot believe he was so cheap.

Just 4 points of 4th...

This is crackers. We're in 13th position in the league but only 4 points behind the 3rd place team. Crackers I tell you.

Yep. It is crackers.
I know it’s just what ifs, but if we had beaten West Ham, as we should have done…and taken all 3 points off Chelsea last Sunday, we would now be 3rd in the table, before the Chelsea v Arsenal match currently being played.

Reality check…City and Arsenal away, coming up in a few weeks time, before Christmas.
Whatever happens in those games, we need to win all our other fixtures, home and away.

Finally an entertaining match. The win and clean sheet are bonuses. This is a foundation to build from, Leicester didn't offer much other than that 1v1 that Onana did well to stop. Ugarte had a very good game, hope it continues. Zirkzee, on the other hand... Weghorst was a better forward. The only time Zirkzee has been useful is when he's behind the play and can help the build up, but he's supposed to be one of the players the others pass to for a scoring opportunity -- and he's behind them.

Good win.

We are neutral for goals for/against. We are so back!!!

I was feeling sad for not being able to watch todays game, which is a far cry from the Ten Hag days when i was actively planning activities during United games:')

I thought Zirksee did okay, some very deft touches. But he plays more as a No 10? Either way, good to see subs being brought on with time to have the chance to make an impact.

Ugarte was superb and Eriksen gave a great pass to Fernandes for the third goal
Cas good too, apart from a. couple of slips. Over the last few years we have tested to destruction the idea that you can play without a midfield. Great to see one on the field today.

We need more attacking talent
Solid performance otherwise
I’ve always said our squad isn’t as bad as ETH had them performing.

Ugarte and Mazaroui both have been brilliant additions.
Mazza looks a great signing - when he's not playing No 10.

Deserved win, Some poor displays again though. Hojlund not good enough never been never was imo. Maybe Amorin can chisel out something from him. Dalot needs a rest out of form . Ugarte was very good Mazroui was as well. Rashford well hmmm maybe Amorin can light a fire under him.

Deserved win. Nice to have a routine victory for change and a clean sheet

Ugarte starting to find his feet and thought he played really well.

Bruno just advised: "Garnacho scored a banger but didn't celebrate like he should because he thinks he has lost faith from some fans. I told him people will always moan but lots of people like you and enjoy what you do. I told him to celebrate, it was something special. He is a special player, we have difference makers. They are the ones who win us games. We want them to score every game but that isn't going to happen."
Ok cheers, that sounds like you’re winding me up but if he did in fact say that then Garnacho needs to lighten up, not sure where he gets the “people moaning at him” stuff from, pretty sure it’s garnacho über Rashford from most fans at the moment.

Rashford shouldn't playing as left winger. With Hoijund completely useless, Rashford should lead the attack. He has the pace break through the central defence. I still can't understand why we spend over 150 million pounds on Hoijund and Antony. The decision made by ETH is criminal. We should find evidence of nepotism and have him arrested.

Great win. Good performance.

Got to wonder if ETH was just looking for the sack. Ugarte clearly an influential “enforcer” who can also pic out a pass.

Garnacho and Amad are the way forward out wide.

Our GD is 0 again. It's been in this -3/+3 area for 15 months now (-1 at the end of last season). +15 in 22/23 (much worse compared to other top 6 teams). 0 in 21/22. Think we'll know we're improving when (among other things) our goal difference starts improving and becomes 'healthier'.

The BBC'S match report summarises the game slightly less favourably to what I'm reading on here ( I didn't watch the game)

Who do I believe:nervous:
Without reading it, but as someone in the stands, united were the much better team. There were still some errors like Dalot playing Leicester onside for their best chances but aside from that we didn't really let them in and Amad just made the attack click throughout the game. We didn't blow them away, but it was convincing.

Ugarte looks like a monster in the midfield as well

That's complete bollocks. Leicester have no right at all to feel "hard done by" or unlucky. They created one good chance where our whole defensive line fell asleep and allowed Ndidi 1v1.

They didn't deserve more out of the game because they created more xG or whatever the feck. We were absolutely coasting for the whole second half.

Ugarte was absolutely influential. Very impressed by him

Re-inforces the impression that when he was purchased the decision to sack ETH had already been taken.

Who do I believe:nervous:
Not Simon Stone that's for sure - he says "Leicester will feel hard done by." - that's complete BS, United controlled this game from start to finish, Leicester created 1 proper chance the whole game

Ugarte in the side has done wonders for Casemiro. It's actually starting to look like we'll get productivity from Casemiro for the remainder of the season.

Two brilliant goals today!

Managing only 3 shots on target at home against a poor Leicester side who themselves had 5 is quite concerning, hopefully Mr Amorim can sort out our attack.

After watching that today I’m now convinced Marcus Rashford has forgotten how to play football , for whatever reason he’s a shadow of what he was when he first came into the side , crying shame , we all know he’s got the talent , let’s hope Ruben can find it

It’s clear that ETH’s tactics left us completely wide open in midfield and is why we were steamrolled constantly for at least the last 18 months, it wasn’t a perfect midfield performance but the difference in just a few games is so obvious to see.

I know Fernandes will get the headlines but Ugarte showed exactly what he was bought for which was simply to chase everything down, shield the back four, win the ball and lay it off simply then get back into his position and today he was almost faultless.

The commentary team made a great yet obvious statement in saying why we spent so much on Sancho and Antony when we already had Diallo just reinforces the point of how well Diallo has played this season, the way he presses the opposition then runs directly at them without it being aimless direct running is beautiful to watch and exactly what Amorim wil want to see.

Don’t think I need to say anything about Mazraoui as he is like a modern day Denis Irwin in that he’s so consistently good and a managers dream, he also seems to have gotten over the continuous niggly injuries he would pick up at Ajax and Bayern too so once we have a left back or two I think Mazraoui should be first choice right back over Dalot.

Dalot was horrific today and Rashford seems to pick when he can and can’t be bothered on the pitch, just makes me long for Garnacho to be more consistent and improve his own decision making as he has the tools to be first choice and a genuinely quality attacker whereas Rashford has been coasting for nearly two years now.

For who ?

After reading some of these posts I had to check the fixture list
I was right we just beat Leicester, for a moment I thought we had beaten Liverpool

Some people need a reality check.
3 shots on target
Hermansen only had to make 1 save, Onana 5
1 corner to Leicesters 5
12 headers won to Leicesters 19
in 90 minutes we had 17 touches in their penalty area
51% posession against 49%

Play like that against LIverpool and we will get mullered

Give your heads a wobble

From some of the negative comments on here, I wonder why they support United. Of course they will come back with 'standards' etc. I've supported us since the 80's so I know bad times, good times and bad again. However come on after a 3-0 win surely you should be happy and optimistic.

Nice win. We had lulls but overall a solid win. Casemiro and Ugarte looks a very solid pairing in midfield. Hopefully Ugarte keeps up this level of performance. Played some nice forward passes too.
Amad nearly scored a Messi goal. His backheel assist to Bruno was nice too.
Rashford poor again along with Hojlund. I think Hojlund can be a good squad player for us, but Gyokeres is the one. Rashford should be moved on.

With Utd at the moment, where the confidence is fragile, they probably thought to control the game and play safe when they went 2-0 up. On the other hand, Leicester had nothing to lose and had to go for it.

Sometimes the stats don't always tell the full picture. I'm sure if the score was 0-0, Utd may have thrown everything at them and had more shots.
