We played a team of pensioners and kids and it showed. Even just one of Mainoo, Amad or Collyer being available would've put us through. It seems the season was over as soon as those injuries hit. Disgusting how weak we've allowed our squad to become.

All that's left in this season is the Europa league now and have to travel Spain mid week off the back of 55 minutes with 10 men on Wednesday. 130 minutes tonight and a threadbare squad playing young players only finding their feet at this level.

Awful performance. Bruno and de ligt were highlights. Onana with some good saves too and Obi did well.

Other than that, it’s just static dross. I counted at least 5 or 6 times when we tried to pass out the back but because we didn’t one touch pass and move we get caught in possession and inevitably give it away.

The confidence of these guys is shot. The confidence I have in the team is shot. It’s a bleak outlook.

Anyone saying we need to concentrate on EL is insane - we’re winning 2 or 3 games more this season. That’s it.

The amount of chances that the players had to score after equalising and none of them looked like scoring. Not to mention 2 awful pens by 2 players that shouldn't be here next season. Also Obi should definitely start over Højlund. I used to defend Højlund, because I thought after last season, he would kick on and do much better. But he's even worse.

Started off well but got progressively worse as the game went on. We were unlucky in the 1st half to go behind but I didn’t really think we played very well in the 2nd though we did pinch an equaliser.

Overall, not that upset about being out of the cup as we won it last year and we have more pressing concerns.

I support Amorim 100% but needing a goal and watching a flat back 5 with 1 body in mid field is going to take some time getting use to.

Can’t fault the effort for 120min, played good football at times, I will advise all players to avoid clever flicks and Hollywood passes and do absolute basics. Promising positions lost because of it. Garna needs to do more as he had options on few occasions and he went for goal.
I thought utd played reasonably well, obviously disappointed with the loss. Should have brought youngsters in midfield for more adventurous play and taken out maz or dalot

Shockingly bad penalties except for the first one. If you're not going to wait for the keeper to decide for a corner and then go for the other one, then you have to place the shot well enough that the keeper will still be unlikely to defend it. But all they had to offer was power behind the shot, no finesse and no aim. So when Leno went for the correct corner, the show was over.

Well, time to throw everything into the EL campaign, I guess.
