Manchester United 3:1 Everton

Post-match discussion

I just watched the match and I'm surprised by the overall tone of the comments. I thought it was a very professional display and felt we were never going to lost that match. I also thought Antony was much better than his previous two matches so I'm confused about the negativity towards him.

- Rashford just immense these days.
- Martial still the "almost" player. Almost scores, almost makes a good shot, almost makes a great pass...
- If Everton go down we should look at Onana and Gordon as possible purchases.
- We are a formidable team at home and I expect after resting numerous players we will be ready for City.

7 wins on the trot.

I thought we always had the edge, but Everton did perk up after DeGea had one of his very few, ( thank goodness) 'bad day at the office' and gifted them a goal.
Not convinced the Antony/Dalot right side combo works, it got better as the game wore on, but if it is to be a permanent pairing much more work on the training ground is required.
Rashfords' back on the ball, but he did tend once or twice to take on too many at once and run into a wall specially prepared for the occasion; however his speed on the half turn is almost back to what it was three years ago...blistering!
