I mean, we probably should be yeah. Without it we'd lose 2-1.

If he didn't have such a humongous brainfart in minute 2 of the game, we wouldn't have had to play the game on the backfoot for 30 minutes and would've probably come away with the 3 pts. You really have to fecking ask questions of a top paid keeper who does that in the second minute of the game.

Sure he's a gifted goalkeeper but he's so error prone these days it costs us consistently.

Lucky to get a draw. If we can play like we did in the first half, we could have won. What happened in the 2nd?
It's Everton away, year after year one of the most difficult games for us. Have to expect a response and that they did.

And feck the right off for all those "huge loss" comments for Martial. Guy did jack crap all game. Yeah yeah hindsight and all, but I knew for a fact it was no huge loss.
Comments, not people.

Correct me if im wrong, but if its deflected off your own player, then offside is basically a non factor is it not? I'm sure that has always been the rule?
You’re asking the wrong question. It’s offside from the shot, not from the defelection.

Fair result. We were better in the 1st half and they were shite. Vice versa in the 2nd.

Who even was that ref? Didn't recognise his face. He was shite anyway. Shaw and Maguire bookings were a joke.

Dont forget Fred's card. Individual mistake cost us. The kind of game where you need to steal a 1 0 win.

Good first half

Strange surrender in the second

I put that down to Everton raising their game in the second half more than our lot performing badly.

You have to admit, that Everton side in second-half looked as good as anyone we've played this season bar Liverpool.

I can see them challenging for top-four next season.

Wolves have the same points as us.

Wolves aren't our competitors here. Chelsea are.

It's important that after today's and the next 3 games, we would be within touching distance from Chelsea and top 4. We are.

Our fixtures after the next 3 are as easy as it gets and easier than our competition.

Pain in the arse not to get the 3 points, but given the early mistake, we came back well and fought hard for the draw at a tough ground to go at the minute.

Overall it was a fair result. We were a better team in the first half, but Everton played better in the second.

De Gea had a shocker, although he managed an amazing save just seconds before the VAR situation.

I agree, but I don’t think many other keepers out there make that save at the end. He definitely needs to do better though.

Bruno is the difference. Players around him (with the exception of Mata) are half a step behind what he tries. We need more high IQ footballers.
Looking at Grealish for Utd to take that step up now. Apparently Gabby Agbonlahor says he's better than us. Hopefully we ask Jack his opinion.

Everton always raise their game against us, small team mentality and all that. A draw at Goodison isn't a bad result, and this performance was a gritty one against a dogged Everton who play a long ball, abrasive game.

Take the draw here and move on. It's not these types of performances that have us where we are this season.

Our fans amaze me. The whining. No doubt this thread makes it to double figures, because we didn't win.

Up against a tough side, where our recent record hasn't been good. A side currently getting the new manager bump. It's not a fantastic result, but away games after Europe in midweek have always been tough.

People need to get over themselves. We were the better side in the first half, they regrouped in the 2nd. We'd more shots on target, more possession.

Really don't underestimate Wolves, that's all I'm saying. They are regaining form and playing really well. I think they just as much a competitor than Chelsea and Spurs,

Standard Everton game raising against us, yet they'll be utter garbage against Liverpool. First half performance was good but we were dire in the second. Probably the worst refereeing performance I've ever seen as well, wouldn't trust him to officiate a sunday league game nevermind top flight football.

I think the amount of games we've had caught up with us. Everton were shite in both cups and had no Europe.

Abysmal abysmal Abysmal abysmal Abysmal abysmal Abysmal abysmal Abysmal abysmal Abysmal abysmal

Abysmal post. We were superb first half and did enough to win. 2nd half we definately tired. Playing Thursday night caught up with a few imo.. Harry second half was immense.

The extra minutes we played over the week showed in the last half hour.

Can't way to see Everton bring that same energy and shithousing when they play Liverpool.
Goodison Park might as well just be a massive doormat with the Liverpool logo on it.

Shithouse team with a Merseyside inferiority complex. Can't stand those wankers, even in the days when Moyes was in charge.

I'm sure I missed something. I still cannot work out why we would make that sub at that point in the game, especially when we have a corner. You'd think that you'd want your striker on the pitch for a corner with minutes to go.

Likely struggling with the injury from during the week.

That makes that DDG mistake abit more bitter.
We were good first half, pathetic second half.
Matic probably our best player today.

Thank you. Some sense. We need wins at home and wins against relegation fodder. This was a difficult game in best of times.

That ref had an absolute mare though, really crippled our ability to play when he cards our entire defence and midfield because the Everton fans asked him to

Technically no step backwards. we're standing still. We got a point.
Technically yes. Wolves winning means they made up 2 points on us

When he played the ball forward sigurdson was already in an offside position doesn't matter if it was deflected or not
Wanted to blame Ole for the poor 2nd half but realised its just a lack of quality in our midfield and attack.
So when we play we'll (first half) Ole gets the credit but when we play bad it's the players? Strange logic

Very frustrating to not capitalise on Chelsea dropping points yet again. In terms of how the game played out, an okay result I guess.
De Gea really dropped us in it with that horrendous mistake so to come back from that to play well in the first half was encouraging. Fantastic strike by Fernandes too, and thought he was good all game tbf.
Thought we'd go on to win from there but the game just became frustrating to watch. Lots of crap fouls and petty things happening in the pitch. Eventually they improved and we're certainly the better team at the end of the game. Quite a lot of pressure and it seemed like endless corners for them too. Shame we couldn't nick it at the end with the Fernandes/Ighalo chances. And very lucky with the offside decision I think. I'd need to see the exact reasoning for it not being awarded though.

- Everton are absolute cnuts
- Utterly, utterly inept ref. That Shaw booking and Fred "handball" and booking is a fecking disgrace
- Good first half, shit second
- Martial, Greenwood and McTomminay shit, the rest (except Bruno) poor
- Bruno has been here one fecking month and is showing up the rest of the team big time. Every time we create something hes involved

All things considering, happy with a draw today, but not the performance

Good first half DDG howler aside, horrible second, they packed us like a lunchbox. Very very lucky point saved by VAR.

If we played that game 2 months ago we lose, imagine Lingard or Pereira playing instead of Fernandes, the stuff of nightmares

That's very premature. They're in good form and full of confidence, that is all.

They were very good second half though, keeping it in our third and winning corners.

Try Iglaho upfront and Martial on the left with Bruno drifting to the right. We can't rely on Martial for a goal, everyone know it except Ole. Waiting for 1 magic moment??? Ole is blind to think he can go on the scoring run.

DDG gives them a goal start but we played well for most of the first half. Matic was excellent first half.
Under pressure for a lot of the second half and Maguire was excellent. Lindelof watching the ball bouncing around, the next weak link to replace, match after match so unaware and bad positioning.

Ref wasn't great all match, why didn't we have Richarlison's handball reviewed for a possible penalty and why was Fred booked when it wasn't handball and Shaw gets booked for being fouled.

Everton haven't lost at home under Ancellotti and have only lost to City of the big 6 at home in over a year, so not such a bad result and we looked tired at the end. Pickford saved Everton too at the end.

See the Spurs fans have given up looking for Poch's silverware and decided to make a reappearance after being absent for two victories.

Was a very entertaining match to be fair. We're not terrible. Thought Everton were really up for it.

If they hadn't lost against Arsenal last week, there's no way they'd put a shift like this today.

Likely struggling with the injury from during the week.

If that turns out to be the case, then fair enough. Just seemed like a really weird moment to make that change. He even walked past the corner kick taker on his way off. It seemed surreal.
