Wolves gained points on us and are level. I will count Wolves a threat to top 4, personally.

Gap is the same with one less game to play in the pl, and look at the fixtures: Chelsea's next two games Everton home, Aston villa away compared to our two games are a lot easier. They can increase the gap further (even though we're really lucky they've been as inconsistent as us and can only hope they continue - which I hate). Why put ourselves in that position of having to pull out something against City and Spurs?

We really need to get the wins rolling or we are not getting top 4 and Everton was a potential banana skin that we failed to win - second half we should have done a lot of better in getting that win, but played terrible, it's these type of games that we need to win or we just ain't getting fourth.

Pretty sure if you asked the forum after the Burnley result that it would trigger an 8 match undefeated run everyone here would be delighted. Everton away is a very tricky game for us right now so avoiding defeat was a very good result in context of this Season.

We have 2 more tricky fixtures in the PL and we can then focus down on trying to wrack up the wins. Stay within touching distance of Chelsea and Leicester by end of gameweek 30 and although it'll go down to the wire we'll have a very good shot at Top 4. Wolves are the real concern for me as they're in form and have a relatively easy fixture list.

As for the Everton game, excellent first half after a disaster of a start, 2nd half was disappointing, but we did at least defend set pieces very well. Still a decent result for us ultimately.

Leicester just lost to Norwich. Chelsea dropped points yet again (we also beat them 3 times this season) but no we have no chance of top 4.

Matic had two thunderous shots on target, (wish he would do more of this) and McTominay competed in every sense of the word. The substitutions didn't really help much, but McTominay and Bruno needed a break.

I wanted to rewatch the match again to try to get a better understanding of what happened in the 2nd half. Was it tactical, or was it something else. I never found the time, but incidentally Everton have played 33 matches this season and United have played I think 44. Thats a LOT of extra minutes in our players legs, not including internationals. Honestly I think we were just a little out-run and out-fought by a decent side, but for 35 minutes in the first half I thought we put out an extremely encouraging display.

We are so one dimensional. It is the height of idiocy. Everyone knows that we try to play from the back ALL the time. Everyone knows that when we have a corner we try to get it to Maguire ALL the time. Then we try a long ball when the opposing defense push up. It is the individual brilliance of the individual players that have got us to this position.
No other team play like us. They mix things up and work out set pieces and plays. Not us. We are lucky to come away with a point from Everton.
