How awful was the coverage by the way? Missed loads of shit and didn't have replays of other stuff as well (including Martial's attempted bicycle kick)

I agree. I was constantly thinking 'can we see the feckin match?' when they put up yet another really slow replay and missed a passage of play. There was one when we were nearly in on goal before they brought it off the replay. How awful was the coverage by the way? Two separate issues surely? Can enjoy the win and still want LVG gone?
Absolutely. Two things aren't mutually exclusive. The thing is, this Jose guy everyone wants regularly has a pop at referees. Even our own SAF.
We get it. There are posters that want LVG gone, regardless of what the result is. And some even prefer to lose so he gets out the door quicker. They have made 10,000 such posts in this forum. They can make another 10,000 more tomorrow.
But today let's celebrate the win. A great match for both sets of fans and neutrals. Our much vilified ex-Everton player stood up to be counted today. Our captain played a lot better than much of this season. De Gea was magnificent. Our youth Martial, Lingard and Rashford played their hearts out. Looking at the way we usually capitulate, today we bounced back from an own goal and soaked up the pressure. We were denied many calls frustratingly.
But we won at the last. Let's enjoy that for now.
Nothing wrong with that. But there are some that are upset that we won and are more worried about LVG possible staying than enjoying getting into the FA Cup final.
Yes. Just like I can enjoy the win and still moan about my shitty day but chose not to, especially when most just want to savour the victory. Find the right time and place.
The fact that so many people want him gone still (me too) despite getting us into an FA cup final is a sad but damning indictment of his regime as a whole.
Nah, we really should've kept a clean sheet tbh. Maybe the highlights were misleading, because I thought we were unlucky to concede. When we listened live, it sounded like Everton were destroying us, watching the replay though it was about a 60-40 Evertons way. I have to say after watching.... That was a bit of a scorpy win. Everton really should have won that with the amount of good chances they had. Cleverley and Lukaku both missed excellent almost tap-in style chances.
No, I watched the replay. The full match. (I usually do when I miss it while at work).Nah, we really should've kept a clean sheet tbh. Maybe the highlights were misleading, because I thought we were unlucky to concede.
I haven't taken a position on this yet, but you could equally argue that this is a sad but damning indictment of the short termism of modern fans and media.

Cleverley blazed a tap in over. Besic really should have buried a header at the back post stolen by Lukaku who smashed one over. Cleverley again had a volley almost on the six yard box that he should have been getting on target. We had some good chances in the first half that we should have scored. They were all over us in the second, just gave the impression that if they had have gotten one of those chances around 45-60 mins we'd have folded and let in about four or five. The OG had an air of chalkyness about it, how late it was made them kind of take stock and hold on and be stuck between going for it or playing for XT.
He at least should have hit the target and if he's hitting the target it isn't being saved by St. David. I felt the keeper would have saved that had Jags not been there to use his hand. I also can't really blame the referee for not seeing that, no idea how he could have to be honest. It wasn't a tap in for Cleverley. You fail to mention that we should've had a penalty and redcard for Jagielka when he clearly used his hand to stop a goal. 2-0 and the match was over there, unfortunately the referee wanted to inject some excitement in the match.
Nah. We should have been out of sight in the first half itself. Lingard missed a good chance. Then there was the chance for Martial when he blazed it over. That is without even considering that Everton should have conceded a penalty and Jagielka should have been shown a straight red as well. No, I watched the replay. The full match. Yes, I originally mentioned we had a good first half above. Only after I watched the replay did I understand the extent of the period that Everton had just after the break.Nah. We should have been out of sight in the first half itself. Lingard missed a good chance. Then there was the chance for Martial when he blazed it over. Everton did dominate us for about 20 mins in the second half but to say we would have folded and let in 3-4 if they had scored early is being naive at best. In all probability we would have not sat back as much if we conceded early as was seen by us attacking them more after the OG. As for the chances you mention, Cleverley at the far post was their best from open play. The Besic header was very difficult so to say he would have scored from that is not really true. If we atart counting such chances then every header in the box will be considered a goal.
Not surprising though. From our team, only he and De Gea are worthy of even being tested for doping. I wouldn't believe it about any of the others, really.I love how Martial clearly just wants to get into the room to celebrate, but gets hauled off for a drug test. Poor timing for the kid!
I thought we didn't play well and were safed by Everton being at their worst for years. The occasion was exciting and obviously the ending was brilliant though.
They were a lot worse a few weeks ago, I actually thought they looked a decent side in the 2nd half.
We were unlucky not to have a pen and a red card at 1 0, so if anything they were saved.
Was that because of us I wonder? I'm not denying they were lucky regarding some decisions, but we should win comfortably against them considering their form. Then again we don't do comfortably under van Gaal, so it isn't surprising, but I want United to be better.
It was a Cup game - and a semi-final to boot - they couldn't have got any worse and they were bound to have a go.
Can't people just be happy we came through it rather than over-analysing every-fecking-thing?
