30 excellent minutes. Team seemed to tire and lack discipline/control thereafter. Important win. We're back on track for top 4 at least after seemingly falling away under Ole.

Fred was brilliant. I'd have kept Sancho on and taken Ronaldo off

Important win and a good start. Need to be winning all of these December fixtures which are fairly kind in terms of the teams we're playing.

Good first half, poor second half, 3 points is all that matter when in transition like this

Mctominay and Rashford should not start again this season

Good game this.
Great 30 minutes.

Rashford needs some time off.
Bruno needs a head check.

Greenwood needs more game time.
Jadon should play 90 minutes.
VDB should get at least half an hour.

And we need to replace Scott.

Refreshing to watch us play well for a half. Good signs given it's been half a week of Ralf.

80% of the way to a very good performance in the first half. Last 15 mins our intensity dropped and we didnt get a goal. Other than that it was a good watch and several players looked more effective

Second half we played pretty much how we've played this season. The pressing was gone, one quality shot from Fred ended up in the net and we got the goal but the performance was very average in that half overall.

Good to start with a win and the first 30 mins against Palace hopefully show how we're going to play

Thank God for the 3 points. Couldn't get to watch the game but heard about the 'pressing' in the first half

The objective is to win at this point. The lads will gradually get used to the new style of play, though it won't be easy as you need the fitness levels to be top notch.

Well done to young Fred! Finally got one of his shots into the net! :D

Clean sheet. More control. 3 points. Great start. As good as our first half display was, we looked a bit disjointed and tired in the second half. But promising signs.

How did we play after we scored? Did we continue to dominate possession or did we sit back?

I mean it played out how you would expect from a team implementing high press for the first time in about 10 years. The whole idea is to get the early goals, something we obviously still struggle with, but hopefully can rectify sooner than later.

Entertaining game. Utd deserved it, worked their socks off, lovely goal.

He said he wanted to see more control from us, and we did that today. For the most part we did what we've consistently failed to do for a while, which is make lesser teams look as ordinary as they actually are.

Not that we looked great second half either, but certainly the better team.

Win and a clean sheet, and positive signs for how we might play going forward. Can't ask for much more

McTominay and Rashford need to be dropped.

palace is a tricky team, Im glad we got the 3 points, that’s what is important. We need lots of organisation going forward

A start. Hopefully of something great!

That last 3 minutes of stoppage time needs to be seen out better though. Couldn’t keep the ball and see it out to save ourselves.

Controlled the game, passed well, defended very well, Palace were never in it, De gea a spectator…. This isn’t the United DNA #RangnickOut :D

The fitness level is a major concerne for me. Playing gegen fotball for 30 minutes before burning out and playing shit will not work.

Did you see Ronaldo hobbling about at the end misplacing everything? That shit won't work.

We were easily the better team and deserved the win. I think we have to sustain the intensity of our play more for this style of play but it’s an encouraging start nonetheless.

Excellent first half, amazing result. But I have a question: what kind of black magic has McTominay done to be made virtually undroppable?

Clean sheet and a win. Good start for Rangnick. We need to put a run of wins together now and really start climbing the table.

Fantastic first half, it was clear we had a plan and a proper shape and we controlled a game of football for the first time since god knows when.

Let's not talk about the second half. Brilliant goal from Fred though!

This’ll take time but encouraging snippets.

Good 1st half, not so good 2nd but all in all had them on the back foot the whole match or most of it. Previously we would get outplayed by the likes of Palace so its a start. There are some obvious beginnings of a structured play, especially defensively and with pressing. Had a clean sheet and other than one good chance in the 2nd defense was sound.

So so glad for Fred, deserved a goal cause he had a good game. Sancho will flourish under Ragnick probably too.

Onwards and upwards!

Perfect example of a game where the scoreline didn't reflect how the game actually went. A bit like our City game.

Great play today. A long way to go and we need to find ways to break down teams that isn't just about trying to find Ronnie, because we can't play like that all the time for 75-90 minutes.

Speaking of Ronnie. The guy is still a fecking machine.

Better control of the match overall rather than looking vulnerable to every counter with our ping pong like backwards and forwards matches under ole

That was just brilliant. A breath of fresh air.

A team playing for the collective group. No hiding place for those unfit and no first touch

I liked the first half more!
Good game still, if this is Ralf after 3 days and 1 trainingsession then Im really looking forward to the next games.
