How long will it take for EtH to accept Bruno cannot play on the wing?

Fergie had a super-sub in Chicharito.

ETH has a super-sub in McTominay!

Can we just forget about the performance and enjoy the win.We all know there's a lot to do to improve us but God i enjoyed that.

So fitting we done it in Fergie time.

If ever there was a match to do it...

It's been a stressful day/month/year, hearing that winner on the radio made me blub.

The madness surrounding United is such that my mate, a die-hard United fan, is gutted we won that game. His reasoning is that more defeats puts pressure on the Glazers to sell.

As much as I enjoyed the comeback, it’s hard to ignore just how fractured our club and supporters are.

Still, get in Scotty!

Absolutely ludicrous thinking.
You wonder if the Glazers even hear about our results at times. Probably just get a summary at quarterly board meetings or something.

Now they need to show they are able to keep up the momentum against Sheffield. ETH's first real test.

We played horrible, but love wins like that.

I feel the only way forward is to drop the players that clearly dont care, and start playing the players that do.
When you, as a collective, is in a slump you need effort and will more than quality imo.

Christ! What a moment. Feels like ages since I last had this feeling as a United fan.

That celebration from Scott will remain in my memory for ever, even though he is my second most disliked player just behind Maguire. And to think that they both combined for that winner, wow

First 45 was an absolute disgrace, but the second was really not bad. We pinned them back and actually looked like we were bothered for once.

Credit to ETH who's finally grown some balls to drop Casemiro (who was proper dogshit) for the second 45 and Rashford too.
Rashford at least is clearly trying to be more of a team player now and wasn't too bad today. Let's hope he finally catches some form and quickly learns what playing with a team mate is.

Casemiro should be glued to the bench after that performance today. We can never fully control a game with him and Bruno in midfield. NEVER

Yeah having to listen to that ABU Seb Hutchison saying we would boo the sub and him ending up with egg on his face was priceless

Casemiro looks so unbelievably done, I thought he might get going, slow starter and all that, but he really looks finished? He’s a goal threat, but that’s not why we bought him

Obviously, delighted to get the three points. However, that was mostly a car crash. Much like the Nottingham Forest victory. We're huffing and puffing against teams we should be beating. The tactical setup is too patient and veers on the Van Gaal when it comes to caution. Plus too many players aren't at their best. We look like we're trying to play five a side football when we just need to get it wide and get it in behind. Lots for Ten Hag to correct.

Wow that was incredible! It all still feels so surreal to me, but Old Trafford was bouncing at the end and it was such an amazing experience!

Going to plan more trips now

feck them.

Time wasting, tactical fouling cnuts.

Got what they deserved.
Very much this.

I’ve always been rather fond of them as a club, but that performance today was as cynical as it gets, and beating them in the way we did made the victory even sweeter.

Indeed, I've no problem with a smaller club putting 10 men behind the ball and trying to grind out a result away.

But they should be getting zero praise after that perfromance today, their time wasting and fouling were ridiculous. Had they not time wasted so much bloody time during the 90, there likely wouldn't have been 7-8 minutes stoppage time for McTom to score twice in. Got exactly what they deserved.

Can't stand Thomas Frank so very pleased with this.

Of course, half the people on here won't like it as it means EtH doesn't get the chop.

Get in. We were fecking shit and that didn't look like it was coming in a million years but the important thing is that it did happen.

Hopefully that's a turning point in our season and not just a result papering over the cracks but for now, we enjoy the win.

Tbf, only 23.8% of the people on here.

Not sure anyone really wants him sacked, just concerned at a long run of defeats, especially home ones.
Thank friggeroo that's ended, and we can enjoy the next 2 weeks.

Saved his job, good.

Genuinely played good enough to win, just having a keeper with no confidence at all right now.

Addition of Garnacho and Antony was very very good. Pinned the Brentford players back into their own box because they were worried those 2 would run at their defenders.

This game is proof that the expression "the players have downed tools" is completely meaningless.

Sure, the players can be disheartened or might lose confidence in the manager, but any player still wants to win. It is not easy to get a professional contract with Man Utd, and the few players who get a contract want to win games, they want to do a good job, they want to prove they are good players.

Maguire and McT are probably not very happy with ETH. But they still want to win games.

Great euphoria but on current performances I ain't looking forward to facing man City and Liverpool and expect thrashing from both if onana and casimero don't get their act together

I don’t think that match could have had any less controversial refereeing decisions if it tried.
Indeed. Ref did nothing to penalise Brentford’s time wasting, and probably should have done more to stop their persistent fouling.

Hopefully a last minute comeback like that and all the emotions of it can lift the team and give them some confidence and belief going forward.
I’d love to think that. I didn’t watch the match. So will ask questions to see if this comeback is a new or false dawn.

If the performance was worthy of a win and we would have been unlucky to lose : draw then yes I’d say it can be a turning point.

However if the performance was rubbish and we deserved to lose but were lucky to win then I’d say it’s nothing we haven’t seen under Ole, Mourinho, even Moyes. incidentally, I don’t really remember any combacks under LVG. So then I don’t think we should read too much into this.

Obviously I hope regardless of how we played this is a turning point. But that’s what I hope. What I think can only be based on what I’ve seen and understand about football and United over the past 10 years.

A Scot with 2 goals in Fergie time to send Old Trafford into joyous celebrations.

Lady Cathy is smiling down on her husband tonight.

Saw someone on my local club's forum saying it's a sign of how far we've slipped we celebrate wildly about a scraped win v Brentford.
Why do fans do this nonsense? If you can't celebrate a late winner, what's the point?
By his logic, that famous Macheda goal against Villa was a sign of slipping far down.
