Coming into the game, many people, including myself, thought we would have bagged quite a few goals against a Bournemouth side, who have conceded the most goals in the league (52) after Swansea (57).
Like for most part of the season, we created enough chances, especially in the first half to be comfortably ahead, but like on so many occasions this season, we failed to put our chances away.
Despite us being so dominant, Bournemouth always carried a threat on the counter, with Afobe and King running in behind, who unsettled our back four.
Having survived the onslaught, Bournemouth levelled up from the penalty spot, courtesy of a rash decision from Phil Jones.
We reacted well to the goal, and even then we created a few chances to go in up at half time, with half chances from Rooney and Ibra.
The way we started the second half suggested we were going to put the game to bed. Again, we created some good chances but couldn't put them away.
Funnily enough, Bournemouth defended better with 10 men than they did with 11, although I don't think we helped the case.
With the additions of Rashford, Lingard and Fellaini, Mourinho obviously wanted to freshen things up and add a bit more pace and power into the side.
You'd think the changes meant we were going to stretch a 10 man Bournemouth and get crosses into the box, which would have made sense, given we had two players in Ibrahimovic and Fellaini who are superb aerially.
However, this was not the case. We spent to many times trying to play our way through a very deep and compact Bournemouth side, who struggled to cope with us in the first half when we got the ball wide and created attacking overloads.
All in all, I think we did enough to win the game, but this is not the first time we've lacked the finishing touch to kill games off.
