Post-match discussion

Great result , two weeks in a row they have shown a lot of resolve and character , we need to see that consistently now and against the smaller teams , starting on Thursday V Southampton , the feelgood factor is starting to come back need to keep it rolling now.

Not a great performance in terms of attack and possession, even before the red card, but we showed impressive and admirable fight for a long spell in that game. Given how weak this team has been mentally over recent years, how many times we've conceded and then conceded again straight after, holding it together in that second half could be something substantial to build on. Amorim needs more quality to work with, but it feels like maybe he's starting to get into their heads and build a better mindset.

We have played Man city, Liverpool and now arsenal. Two victories and a draw that was almost a win, there is the making of a team if we can turn up against lesser opposition.

Today was as all about defending as a team and they did it superbly. Proud of them all and its great to see this keeper redeemed.

Fantastic spirit and fight from the team today and thankfully got their just desserts as it would've been painful to go out on pens after surviving that long with 10 men.

In 99, against Arsenal away in the FA Cup, we were down to 10 men, and Schmeichel saved a penalty. We all know how that season ended.

Therefore we are going to win the treble again this season. It's written in the stars!

What an effort from all the players. The only player I can complain about is Hojlund and that's just because he seems to rarely win balls and hold up play. Even Garnacho contributed with a nice a assist.

I'm really surprised no one tried to take out Havertz after his dive. I would bet Amorim put the word out no retaliation because of the card situation.

Let's go Amorim!

Give Amorim time to train the squad. This is the result. Fantastic.
Agreed, but now we need to start beating the lower teams like Southampton next, otherwise we will continue this roller coaster

Brilliant team effort at 10 men.

Altay was fantastic, not only the pen save, but a couple of crucial saves.

Couldnt be happier against that smug lego prick

What we need to do is show up like we did against Pool and the Arse against lower league clubs such as Southampton. This team has a history of playing down to their competition.

Same old Arsenal, always cheating!

We won despite the referee, but great grit and effort from the team, superb!

I don't care what Alan Shearer says the first Dalot booking was never a yellow carrd!

looking so much better on corners, arsenal looks toothless when you don’t let them surround and block the keeper

TBF he has them working for each other, now we need to give him the 2/3 players he needs in January and the 4/5 players he needs in the summer.

No more slow midfielders, no more lazy strikers who don’t work for the team and Collyer did himself a lot of good today too, we can move on Casemiro and Eriksen and bring one midfielder in like D Luis and then the midfield’s all set as Bruno looks much better in the 8 than the 10.

Top class performance apart from the Dalot brain fart.

What was most impressive was the fact that everything seemed to be going against us but we refused to give in. Bruno of a few weeks ago would have been sent off but today he covered every blade of grass.

All aboard the Ruben express!

Such a satisfying win against these boring cheating bastards. Such a proud performance from the boys, especially the defenders. We need to continue to build on these performances and not take it easy against Southampton next week.

So proud of the team tonight. Not easy leaving this place having played 10 against 12 since minute 60. One of the worst refereeing performances I've seen, genuinely couldn't believe what the referee was doing today.

Bayindir deserved MOTM awards, but I voted for Maguire, what a performance!!! De Ligt was also a contender but Maguire played like prime Maldini there!
Knocking modern Stoke out of the FA cup on their own turf with the ref on their side is a great feelingz
Imagine supporting a team like Arsenal? Constnt divind, cheating and moaning for 90 mins every match. Feck them!!!

We thoroughly deserved the win, paying 10 v 12 for over an hour. We had four players in a yellow without a single player of theirs booked. Ref was just looking for an excuse to send a United player off. Their penalty was never a penalty, every single Gooner fell over at the slightest touch and listened to their fans, I genuinely belive that was the worst display of refereeing that I’ve ever seen, justice was served.

Can't believe we still managed to beat the cheating corner merchants after that red card. Dalot with his usual brain fart. Anyway two fantastic away performances in a row against arguably the two best teams in England.

Let's fecking go!

feck off Arsenal. The time wasting during corners and free kicks with the zooming in of their set-pieces coach, Arteta running and yelling, demanding Dalot to get the red as if every call didn't go their way until then. Awful watch.

It's absolutely astonishing that we played over an hour with 10 men and still won it in their own backyard.

Outstanding collective defensive performance with major highlights being,

Bayindir's penalty save
De Ligt's last ditch tackle
Bruno's brilliant goal
Bayindir's shootout save

It's all euphoric at the moment. However, beware of making any statement stating that we've turned a corner. Except it to be a long drawn strings of games involving peaks and troughs along the way before witnessing any semblance of consistency that everyone's expecting.

All with Rashford and others out in the cold. Gives Amorim so much power in those battles and long may it continue!
