It was a classic 'ref hasn't played the game' yellow. Dalot clearly didn't see the attacker therefore it would typically have to be dangerous/unsafe or stopping a great opportunity to get yellow. I thought it was harsh.Have just re-watched the game.
Referee was better in the second half and extra-time.
It may be churlish to mention that Altay's distribution is awful.
Dalot's second yellow was stupidity but the first was debatable. The Arsenal player was coming in from behind. Dalot went to ground to play the ball and there was a tangle of legs which meant that Dalot couldn't complete his play on the ball. both players ended up on the ground. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will correct me.
I thought Dalot was trying to pull out of contact on the first one- was very much studs down. That said, the second one was stupid and the red overall was one of the ref's least contentious decisions. It was a classic 'ref hasn't played the game' yellow. Yes you could say that, it's like free version of premium ChatGPT that runs in apps like excel and windows search. Quite useful of you use windows. So an omnipotent evolutionary dead end OS combo.
It's only in cup games when we have the United names and numbers fontHow long have we had that “CO-PILOT + PC” sponsor logo on the backs of our shirts? Hadn’t noticed it before. Is a Snapdragon product?
Yes, I did mean the punch. It's possible a world-class keeper - Schmeichel or VdS in their prime would have saved it (Ray did so late on for them) but I wasn't blaming Bayindir for not stopping the shotI assume that you mean the initial punch out from Bayindir being weak, as the deflection gave him no chance.
To be fair, as the game went on, I was getting more confident in Bayindir, I always feel that with Onana he could make a bad mistake at any time.
We certainly look much more like a team now, and Amorim hasn't brought any player into the club, yet.
It looks like either this transfer window, or in the summer, Rashford, Casemiro, Eriksen, Antony and Lindelof will probably leave the club, Kirkzee infuriates me. He appears to be quite skilful, but looks so lethargic. Hojlund tries hard, and I think there is a decent player in there, but we need a real proper striker, now.
It was certainly interesting that he brought Collyer on. I've been quite impressed with him, not so much in his abilities with the ball, but he looks like he could become a solid defensive midfielder, he doesn't shirk any physical contact, and hopefully his passing ability would improve as he got more games.
Agreed, but it isn't just between ref's interpretation in different games, to some extent you could expect that, but It is also the inconsistency in the same game.I'm just tired of the inconsistent officiating.
We haven't been shit for a while now, EL final only De Gea missed which was quite epicThat was epic. I still remember when we were utterly shit at penalties.
Of course I can do that, no matter how the match goes. You must expect a win over Southampton, right? And if it goes badly, resume posting in the Amorim thread about how he was a bad appointment, and that Frank would’ve been better?
That was the one that went like 11-10, wasn’t it? Everyone was a beauty except for poor DeGea’s.We haven't been shit for a while now, EL final only De Gea missed which was quite epic
Yep that's the one, it's one area we have improved on in recent yearsThat was the one that went like 11-10, wasn’t it? Everyone was a beauty except for poor DeGea’s.
