We're just not very good.
Expected to lose, lost.
Expected to lose, lost.
I really hope you're right and it works out for us. Bloody bricking it for Thursday now.
He will play the next three league games now too .After he gave that freekick away against Swansea, it amazing Rooney still gets a game. If Fellaini had not got banned Wayne would not get near the side.
Fair enough. The game on Thursday is absolutely massive now.Below I did say that was the one big game I thought we were excellent in.
It was Mata's first game back after an operation. I wouldn't read too much into his performance. Jones and Smalling can't do the basics of defending properly. They might be rusty, but they should still be able to do the basics. Carrick if he stays can only be a bench or easy team option.Add Carrick, and Mata to that
I'm already nervous! At least we have the vital away goal + clean sheet.Fair enough. The game on Thursday is absolutely massive now.
He will. Because if we go through, we will rest all the main first teamers. He will play the next three league games now too .
What if we lose on Thursday 1-2? You just cant just pile your eggs all in one basket when we still had a chance to get 4th. We could of still lost today going for it, but I would of prefered to have given it a good goBut we still have Spurs to play away from home, what if Rashford is to pull up in that game? Sometimes you have to play the percentages to give yourself the best chance.

What a terrible birthday present
Who cares? We took Rooney's Testimonial more seriously than that!
Cannot read anything into that game whatsoever. Main objective was just to get it out the way
More like black hole and the sun when the replacement is Rooney..The difference between having Pogba in the team and not having him is night and day. We dom't know how to transition from defence to attack without him.
We need speed in attack. All the years we were winning trophies one thing we had was a quick tempo. Mata slows it down. I've always said this not just on todays performance. I appreciate he has scored some important goals over the last 3 years but hes not what we need to step back up to the top imoIt was Mata's first game back after an operation. Rooney is the problem. Everything breaks down with him.I've tended to take Jose's side on most matters this season but I thought we were far too negative today.
I still agree with him resting players but we showed far too much respect to fecking Arsenal.
How many times this season has Rooney been given the lowest rating? It feels like it's almost every game he's played he's been the worst player on the pitch
This. After he gave that freekick away against Swansea, it amazing Rooney still gets a game. If Fellaini had not got banned Wayne would not get near the side.
People not going to give credit to Mourinho for playing two youngsters in this match and handing out a debut?
Agree totally. You show your kids and grandchildren medals, not league tables.I'm really backing Mourinho on this one. Winning this guarantees us nothing.... and even if we did...it's still a tall order to make top 4. Winning on Thursday guarantees us a final with the chance of not only making the CL but winning a trophy as well and as Rio always says about footballers...it's all about winning trophies because at the end of the day...that is what you show for your career, that is what they want to do. I can bet you every Arsenal fan at the moment would swap places regardless of their result against us today.
