Everyone thinks this at first because S2 is such a departure from the first, but once you realise how each season broadens the scope of the show you appreciate it more and more.

S2 is probably by favourite of the show.

The Leftovers is probably my favourite ever TV show (if I had to pick one), slightly above BB, Sopranos and The Wire etc. Just something about it really hits home with me. The ending was especially well done I thought.

It seems to have flown under the radar a little bit though.

It is a favorite of mine too (could be my all time favorite). I guess most people might not find it very engaging or relatable. There is just something about it that got me hooked. Seen it 3 times, and each time it gets better.

I agree that its a specialist show just like twin peaks, and thats why it was short-lived. Damion lindelof really got the ending perfect, after the calamity of LOST.

My favorite ending. Close second is that last line from Justified.

Exactly that. At first its a bit of a punch in the gut how the whole scenery has changed. But quickly they start connecting the dots and season 2 becomes one of the best seasons. So much to admire about the wire really.

I like Thrones a whole lot more, even if the last season wasn't entirely what I was expecting it won't change my opinion on the rest of the show. I'll be honest in BB I always found Walter's family to be really boring to watch and, Hank aside, were nowhere near as interesting to watch as Walt or Jesse. The dust hasn't settled with Thrones yet and it's left a bad taste in peoples' mouths, it might be worth revisiting this question in a year and see if everyone still feels the same.

Weirdly couldn't disagree with myself more here, Breaking Bad is absolutely incredible and possibly the best show I've ever seen. After leaving the dust to settle I've just found myself even more annoyed by the GOT ending
