Some of these Breakthrough cards are so expensive. Be a good set to finish though! I'M going to have to pay through the nose for the Full Art Mega Mewtwos!

Although, some guy has a poorly titled auction on eBay with the secret rare im missing and a few other cards, 8 EX/Breaks in total. Hoping to pick that up cheap.

Anyone know why the Octillery Rare in the set seems to go for way more than the other rare cards in the set? Is it good for competitive play or something?
 
Would recommend Big Orbit Cards for anyone needing cheap singles to complete a set. These are all Rare as a minimum with a couple of EX cards.

He is offering me 160 Boosters for £260.00. Works out at £1.62 per booster.

Wondering what the pull rate would be for ultra rares on separately sealed boosters in a blister pack. I might try get all the Fates Collide off him. and start that set.
 
Try and edge him down to £250 if you can :P

It's a top deal for so many boosters but I'm not sure if you'd still get roughly the one in two or three holo pull ratio we are used to.

Still, for that money you'd generally get about three booster boxes and three blisters at best so around 115-120 boosters.

Also, depending on which sets you're trying to complete, you might have boosters left over which you could sell at £2+ to make a profit on each one, along with any spare cards and probably a job lot of commons/uncommons gets you £30 back minimum.

Ive sent him a message but he seems impatient and wants me to take the whole lot or none. Undecided at the minute.

Had these turn up from ebay today. I ordered the wrong Mewtwo EX by accident so that's 2 x Darkrai EX app from Breakpoint and 2 x Mewtwo EX from Breakthrough ive got. If anyoje moves on to these sets I'll do them for £3.50 inc postage.

If I get £3.00 each for the bottom 4, it works out at £12 for the top 4 which is very, very good value.

This was the poorly advertised auction lot I was on about. It's all about that title guys!

I thought the exact same thing! Profiteering at it's finest. Don't think they will shift them very quickly given there is quite a few boxes in that price range.

The boxes I got were very slightly dinted, wonder if it had any say in the cost the seller obtained them for. The packs were absolutely mint but of little consolation to yourself as a sealed collector.

I'm undecided on what to buy next. I'm now only a couple of singles away from completing breakthrough and breakpoint so I think its time I bought a box.
 
Our £57 guy on eBay now has Break Point boxes up for sale if anyone's interested!

Edit: Sold out actually, I put an offer in firstly but then it went from 6 left to 1 left in two minutes so I just bought it for £65 haha

Still good value. They do go quick! Ive asked him what else he can get hold of at the minute.
 
Caved and picked up several Japanese boxes from the sets: Fates Collide, BREAKpoint & Ancient Origins.

Cards I'm mainly hoping to get:
- Lugia & Ho-Oh EX Full Art
- All the Gyarados' and Mega Gyarados'.
- Espeon & Umbreon EX & Full Art
- Lugia BREAK
- All the Alakazams and Mega Alakazams.
- Kingdra EX & Full Art

Going to have a ton of spares probably, for anyone who is collecting those sets.

I thought about getting the latest set too, as I love the Steelix cards, but really they're the only cards in the set that I like so I'll buy those as singles.

Quite tempting but I have this urge to open boosters and complete the set (90% of it) through opening packs.

Good :P I bought a BREAKpoint box so the money for those Mythical Collections can be excused for that haha

Unless you pull some Jolteon or Charizard then you've robbed me even more ;)

Nice! I'm tempted by the new Steam Siege set in Jap. Can pick up both versions of the new booster box online for about £72 I've seen, been very tempted.

So many booster boxes I want!!

A first edition PSA Graded 10 Charizard is probably worth a couple of thousand pounds in real terms, though it may take a while or specialist auction to fetch that sum.

One of the guys in work has a near mint one at home, not a first edition, been sat in a tin for 10years, I'm working on taking it off his hands.

Few other guys in work using Pokémon Go too. It was glitchy last night but they are having a laugh with it today.

Sorry I'm a newbie on the card side, I used to collect them as a kid with my brother. We have a pokemon file with all the cards we've collected in, one is a Charizard and it has a blue back, not sure if that means anything?

Sadly I wouldn't know any of the new kind of pokemon so wouldn't want to sink money into it. Was fun collecting them as a kid though, good to see its still going though!
