Gaming Pokémon Strumfest

Saying that it's funny he didn't know but if you haven't really ever played it and theres the chance of losing 250k, he made the right choice.

I've seen that before. To be fair, Pokemon had only been out a year in America when that question was asked so its understandable he wouldn't know the answer. Also if hadn't read the books, he wouldn't know that Frodo was a LotR character. The films came out a couple of years after.

Well, if it's a few years before the films, fair enough.

If that is true then this explains it. Still a lot of cash to be offering up on a pop culture question!

None too sure how that'll work, tbh. I'd guess they'll link it to the copy in some way?

I assumed that the save would be on the SD Card that the game is on, but you can have the game spread over 2/3 SD cards right? Pretty sure the Pokemon bundle comes with a digital code for the game, though I'm not too sure.

I honestly don't have a clue mate, I've only ever bought them on carts.

Be wary with Nintendo downloads too, they're not like Sony, where you can delete and re-download at your pleasure.

Oh really?

I'm a little wary that they tie your Nintendo IDs to hardware. If I buy another Wii U then I can't download my games to a new one, and you can't simply swap over the Nintendo IDs.

But I had no idea you couldn't redownload at will? Hows it work? That's ridiculous.

If you delete it, and want it again, you pay again. Stupid as feck. Even people who've had their DS's wiped, or stolen have had trouble getting their games back.

It was enough work to shift my account when I swapped 3DSs' to an XL, thankfully they let you do that.

You sure? Some people online are saying the games are in your account history to download to multiple SD cards.. but you can only play them on the console that brought them (unless you do a system transfer).

That's the way it used to be, IIRC, perhaps it's changed. I certainly remember there being uproar over it....

That Pokemon one looks absolute quality.

So, I take it no-one knows that if you buy a digital copy of Pokemon on the eshop, whether you can use multiple SD cards to run multiple saves? Surely you can.

Speaking of gameboys...

I always wanted one of those!

No pretty sure it wouldn't work, the game is downloaded to the sd card in the first place anyway so if you swapped it then you wouldn't have the game data there.

Yeah but not the same one on multiple cards I don't think.

Hmm. Cheers.

I wish they weren't so far behind the times. Another example, Mario Kart that comes out on Wii U this month will be the first first-party Nintendo game for Wii U that supports online. It's crazy.

This is ace, actually, getting more and more games onto the ds will make collecting pokemon much easier.

Right this has got me thinking now I'm gonna make a push to try get every one of the feckers. Obviously anyone else looking to do the same we can probably help each other out.

I almost done it one gen, can't remember when, but I was like 3-5 mons short.

Of course, it gets harder each and every gen, like when you get cuntung Cryogonals who have a 1% appearance rate unless it's winter in game, in which case it skyrockets to 5%.

I was actually lucky with that one though, popped up completely randomly in my first pass through Twist Mountain.

Yeah they are feckers a lot of them, I bred myself an Absol with Mean Look and False Swipe so at least I get them when they do appear.
