He probably peaked as a player at 22. We thought we were getting a guy who would continue to develop, probably mature into a more rounded midfield player, but his first couple of years is probably the best he is.

Sternly disagree and find this view very out of touch.
The crazy thing is he seemed to want to become a more rounded player. Until he decided that would be too much hard work. I still remember his interview with Thierry Henry just after signing for us. Said he wanted to be an all round midfielder who could do everything. 5 years later he’s conceding stupid penalties and saying “oh well, I’m not able to tackle anyway”. A central midfielder who never learned to tackle. Ridiculous.
Maybe too many people telling him the same things that were constantly repeated on here about needing his ideal position, left of a midfield 3 with a specific players around him, replicating his Juve role.
What are the chances that Juve just miraculously landed on the ideal combination of role, system and teammates to ideally fit Pogba, and it wasn't a hungry player desperate to prove a point that made the key difference.

FFS, can't you pull yourself up at that point? He really did, he played with flair and showed some special stuff. Likely the period where he played with the best functioning team/midfield? Later years he had less flair, seemed a lot slower and was injured more often. Curious to see how he will be at his new club.

For me that was always the only role he was ever going to be genuinely "world class" in.
And even in that role, probably not consistently (as he blew hot and cold for Juventus too).
We never had the players to accommodate him in his best role (only in flashes).
And then - you could add - we never had the players to accommodate him in his France role either. But both Mourinho and Ole more often than not insisted on using him in that role - or something like it.
Ole explicitly stated that he wanted to build the team around Pogba as a CM/playmaker (as part of a double pivot). I never understood that. He's never been good enough in that role to build a team around him - nowhere close.

Kudos for getting through. Finished the first episode and switched to the Great British Baking show. Could barely get thru ten minutes. It's a categorically bad program. There's very little content. Pogba can't really say anything thoughtful beyond platitudes. Then they have awful cartoon depictions mixed in.
The biggest takeaway for me: Raiola and the lawyer were posionous leeches that got into the head of a talented, well mannered and impressionable young man that was in a vulnerable state as an immigrant without family around.
