Pogba's social media post was a scheduled event - Neville and .Rossi take note!

He is not gaining any fans by his childish behaviour. With the casual approach he'd pretty much turn into second ozil if he doesn't get his head in improving his game.

Sincerely hope that's not the case.

Great point.

NBA Players are always posting banter, engaging with their teammates and rivals - and also their fans.

Only in the PL are athletes expected to act like boring old farts.

You can't compare the 2. I say that as a fan of teams in both sports. The NBA pivots towards the casuals who follow LeBron from Cleveland to LA.

Think he just wants to go against majority opinion.

Well he’s now being left behind Carragher in the punditry stakes - guy needs to button it - his opinions on United are shite.

You calling me a child and then acting like one is pretty ironic and hypocritical tbf

90,000 posts in 10 years? Interesting...

And I know what you're gonna post next so prove me right...

Calling Neville an idiot is acting like a child?

You clearly aren't worth trying to have a conversation with when you're resorting to quips about post counts.

Maybe go back to copying other people's posts.

It has been confirmed from Adidas that it was a scheduled event, and when Pogba's team was made aware Mourinho has been sacked, they've removed it.

You'd be calling every other player a disgrace if they done that, United player or not.

Willian doing it to Conte was Classless too
Now it's been confirmed as an advertisement, do you see why the reactions were pretty ridiculous?

I don’t care for the social media stuff but the onus really is on Pogba, other players too, but Pogba especially to really step up. He’s had all the excuses made for him...the manager, the system, the tactics. Bottom line is, he’s got his way and now he needs to show us why he’s got all this insane hype around him

If I were him I would have tweeted a good luck for Mourinho instead. That would hurt Mourinho's ego much more. By tweeting something like this, He only made it clear if He was a part of the problems. Very immature and unneccesarry.

And with all the banter about NBA players you described, I still think they are much better role models for young fans in general

Most of them are normal young men. They have fun and understand that the NBA and their image is a business. They don't act as if they were in la la land. So you are right it's a far better model to follow, they are part of the real world.

Nba is different to football. Managers mean a lot more in football.

Not really the whole point is about the behaviour of the players - NBA players are able to express themselves freely without it being seen as disrespectful to their own team.
LeBron regularly congratulates players who do well, even if it works against his own teams achievements.

But all that is against British footballing ethics, standards and traditions! Gary Neville will be around shortly to tell you more.

I think you can compare that what the players do on social media shouldn't have an impact on how their professionalism is perceived.
They have personalities, they should be allowed to express them.

Some posters on here are beyond ridiculous. Players have someone running their sppical media accounts most of the time, hardly a secret.

Yep I agree.

The traditionalists in football have created this divide where it's seen as sacrilege if you are laughing and joking with your mates.
Mata doesn't even want to write his blog ffs!

It's totally toxic

It also helps that many of them have received a good education prior to their NBA career. Most pro footballers are seriously stupid and uneducated

I wonder if Neville will now delete his dig at Pogba over his deleted post.

Made to look a mug. Again.

.

It's all a matter of opinion - if you are operating in a league where player power is higher, you will get more flexibility to do as you please. My opinion is that Pogba was wrong because he knew full well what he was doing with a "caption this" tagine for a kit launch 10 mins after Jose was sacked.

Neville is a moron - just like the Jose apologists in this thread that are looking to latch onto anything negative about Pogba, desperate to say "see, he was part of the problem as well". Fans of Jose Mourinho, not Manchester United.

Incredible that this is at the top of the page on the day Jose is sacked. Some of you need a head wobble.

Obviously a scheduled ad post.

Specially when it's social post regarding a marketing subject, it's 100% posted by someone else than the player

Bro, you said it before in your posts. Mourinho has turned many of our fans against the players to the point where it's blind accusations before anything else

Yeah, they, like other celebrities usually have a whole team of PR people handling their social media accounts.

Conte just dropped Willian, he didn’t call him a virus and slag him off in the papers every week. And as Pogue says, there was a massive power imbalance there. Jose was allowed to say whatever he felt like, Pogba had to suck it up and keep his mouth shut or he got fined and reprimanded

No country for old men
Unfortunately, it is (apparently).

 I've stuck up for him loads but how naive are some of you? It was blatantly a dig and good on him for it after the way he's been treated.

Boom!

There it is!
You proved me right

Get your arse all tetchy when I merely mentioned your post count and then threw that back in my face.

Like you tried to hound me off here when you were a mod?

Sad and pathetic. Please don't waste my time any more. I don't know where you've been

It is. Football fans call players robots and give them shit for being boring but lose their shit over something like this.

I also think it's down to a lot of football fans hating change, they want football to remain the same when they first fell in love with it.

A lot of the older fans just don't understand social media and that makes things worse too.

It also helps that many of them have received a good education prior to their NBA career. Most pro footballers are seriously stupid and uneducated

The main solid education comes from the player associations that provides forums where rookies are reminded about their fiscal responsibilities and the fact that they are now professionals and need to understand that everyone is going to try to monetize them. Some listen but plenty don't.

So what did they expect the captions of Pogba looking smug in the middle of a shameful season with those hashtags to be before the news dropped?
