Pogba's contract offer

And people just lap this stuff up.
I couldnt give a rats what Pogba does in his private life as long as he doesnt bring the Club into disrepute. I judge him by his performances on the field which in the majority of cases have been mediocre to say the least. Yes he can be brilliant, but one swallow doesnt make a summer and one excellent performance doesnt make a season, let alone a career. Pogbas had nearly six years to prove he has what it takes to play for Manchester United and he has failed to do so. Enough is enough.

Bar the City game where he scored 2 and the Leeds game he got a couple of assists I cannot remember a decent performance from him.

I guess it depends where your grade lands. 7/10 for me is average, and I think, especially early on he was usually average or better. Last couple of seasons he's normally been average to poor with the odd game where's he's looked interested and stood out.

This checklist is absolutely hilarious. “Being injured in the coldest months of winter” attributed as a genuine criticism, as if we’re at war in the trenches or something.
You don´t feel like he is pulling our chain when he posts pictures season after season in the Far East in the sun by the swimming pool, and that during the busiest time of season during the coldest months?
Why doesn´t he do his rehab at Utd like Ralf pointed out when he came in? Him posting it on Instagram smiling and sunbathing by the pool would drive a lot of players who are playing with niggling injuries crazy doing their rehab in Manchester.
For example Lindelöf played through a painful back injury for most of a season while getting hammered by Utd fans for not being good enough, Pogba can go sunbathing and swimming for months on end while still being talked about as our best player.
I think he’s suggesting that Pogba spent most entire winters in Dubai with injury, in which case he’s correct.
Thanks for pointing that out.

What do you mean by season after season? Could you tell me the seasons in which he’s spent winter in Dubai? And playing through injury isn’t a good thing, look at what it’s done to Rashford.

Not really, I just don't care enough about Pogba sunning it up in Dubai enough to check. If I could take winter paid leave to Dubai I'd do it also
You said it wouldn’t be too hard to check so it obviously wouldn’t take that much effort to do so would it? You said he spent most years in Dubai, I asked which years and then you refused to tell me. That’s a little strange.

It's hyperbolic but the two long term injuries that he got were around that time, though the ankle injury was from August and he eventually was totally out in November. The hamstring injury happened with France in November and he was out until March I believe.

Just go look it up yourself it´s been well documented.

Maybe not season after season but the last 2 definitely. Rashford downing tools isn't a result of playing through injuries.

Funny how everyone keeps saying this yet can’t answer the question. I have googled it and can’t find any evidence of Pogba spending season after season in Dubai during the winter.

Without doing the authoritative research (through a PL or MUFC source) to back it up, it does seem as though Pogba has been in recovery from injury for a very substantial period of time during his 6 seasons under contract with United.

But even if that's a myth, is it not factually undeniable that Pogba has spent most of this season out with injury?

Could be pure shite, but this is what MEN claim as of 10 November 2021, before he
https://www.manchestereveningnews.c.../manchester-united-pogba-injury-news-22121098

Since he joined United five years ago Pogba has missed 71 matches sidelined through illness or injury with a combined lay-off of 304 days spread across 13 separate setbacks.

This may or may not also be shite: https://www.transfermarkt.us/paul-pogba/verletzungen/spieler/122153

Last winter when he was rehabilitating from injury he was sharing Instagram posts of himself in Dubai. Just look at the dates of his Instagram posts.

I don't have anything against taking a short holiday to Dubai during breaks by the way. But when the season is running you should be at the club training ground.

Another google search shows it was approved by Ole. Really don’t see why it’s a big deal he’s in Dubai if he’s not even fit enough to train let alone play. Do you want him to hand out bibs or something?

Because I'm at fecking work! Google it yourself, I'm not your secretary
A quick search reveals that Pogba has had 3 independent spells in Dubais - October 2019, November 2021 and January 2022, although there was no mention of how long each stay was, though Im sure none of them was just a weekend break. In all he has missed over 100 matches through injury and has played 252, though theres no record of how many he actually completed. Anybody who thinks that this is a record any professional sportsman or woman could be proud of is either obsessed with the cult of Pogba or just daft.

Not just Dubai, i remember he went to France when injured helping his brother out in a charity match when we played Burnley

I couldn't give a feck who approved it I care less he did it. All I was doing was responding to a post where someone criticised another poster and claimed Pogbas trips to Dubai weren't documented, the Google linked shows they were and he did go several seasons during the winter.

Pretty sure Van Dijk was in Dubai after doing his ACL.

Pogba has mostly had muscle belly tears and some ankle issues.

If he's got the proper support and he's doing his time in the gym, I don't see why it's a problem if it's in Dubai.

Should he have been in Manchester binging Friday Night Lights?

There was someone on here a few months ago accusing him of cheating on his wife in Dubai...

Grown ass adults can't control their emotions when it comes to Pogba.

Nice choice place to commit that.

Or could try to bring drugs to Singapore or Thailand, much challenging than Netherlands.

According to The Times, he had agreed personal terms with city, but pulled out of the deal due to fears over backlash. Personally couldnt care less if he did end up at city for next season.

I'm not sure if he was worried about a backlash from City fans or United

Wow so he's missed almost 30% of available games and under Mou he was dropped too.

Cant wait until hes gone

Assuming this isn't just made up (how can we get 'POGBA' and 'UNITED' into a story about the pitch invasions?), what on Earth is Pogba worried about here? He's never received any particular malice from opposition fans before?

Actually screw it, 99% that's just made up - I don't understand how ESPN is so spectacularly trash for football, when it's pretty solid for all north American sports. Between Ogden and Dawson, 9 out of 10 articles are negative, over-the-top ABU click bait.

It means from United supporters, United are the visiting team

Ah, fair, but still. What's he worried we're going to do - say some mean things about him from the stands?

(for the record, really think the hatred towards him is ridiculous - he's a footballer and it didn't work out, people need to get over it)

Why the feck would anyone consider playing him against Palace?

Play someone who will give a shit about what competitions we'll be in next season.
Why would anybody at Palace "target" Pogba? I think hes been asked to play and simply doesnt want to so came up with this as an excuse. But why would Rangnick select him anyway? The sooner Pogbas out of United the better!

Zero ambition if he goes to Juve. Makes no sense at all, the suck. What a joke.

Does anybody really think our own supporters will have a go at Pogba? Many, probably most, may not want him at United but I cant believe he would be physically threatened in any way; maybe he might get called a few names and, though I dont agree with that sort of thing its hardly life threatening.

I think it's just the disrespect shown towards United by his family, agent etc that grinds United Fans. Him being a expensive flop certainly rankles but not as much as his being quiet when everyone around him were shouting their gob off!

Something like 90% of games he missed due to injury have happened in autumn/winter. All of his lengthier ones have occurred around that time, in fact, except for last year when he was out in February and March.

2017: missed 12 games through September and November.
2019: missed 17 games from October until the end of the year.
2020/21: missed 19 games from December until the end of the season.
2021: missed 10 games in February and March.
2021/22: missed 14 games from November to February.
