I'm still feeling very odd about all his stay in USA this time. It doesn't fill me with any confidence about him returning soon, otherwise we would have been at Carrington.

There's something more to this injure that I can't understand. A hamstring injury that required no surgery, however it's 1.5 months now and the player still doing solo training and didn't join the team. That's makes zero sense unless it's a very long term injury.

The pressure on him is going to be immense on here, half the Caf expect things to be great again as soon as he is fit and starting, but to me it seems the problems go much deeper as we werent playing very well even with him. Surely we will improve a bit, more control, more physique and more creativity and players like Matic, Martial, Lukaku will benefit from that, however the problems were still visible even when he was fit and in form if you neglected the scorelines and studied the performances.

We need a shrink. Like you said, Pogba alone won't change everything. It doesn't make sense that a team playing lost its football (cojones) just like that.

I dont think the cojones were really there, the 4-0 really inflated the perceptions of how good we were. We were very decent with good concentration and excellent/ruthless finishing. Our finishing has been much better this year but our play, not so much.

We need Fellaini or Pogba back asap.
When Pogba got injured, Fellaini played in his place and we won all our games.
Once Fellaini got injured, we returned from the international break and in 3 games have scored 2 goals (1 of those goals coming from a really bad error from the Benfica GK).
I am positive that once Fellaini returns, things will change, but it galling that we are so reliant on Fellaini/Pogba.

It appears jose is completely in the dark on everything regarding pogbas injury. His recent comments suggests he is growing increasingly frustrated. I just hope it doesn't lead to him publically questioning pogbas commitment like he has done with others.

Do you honestly believe someone can keep in the dark the manager of this club over an injury of his most important player? Think twice before posting something.

Got a hammy at the moment (regularly get them in the left leg( and it was just a minor one, but takes 5-6 weeks even with a minor one and if it is re-occurring and you want to go back to the drawing board in terms of running style/proper strength and conditioning work to work on the muscles around the hamstring, lengthen the hamstring etc etc can imagine it taking 2 months before you've started taking part in training sessions. Even worse if it is a tear of some sort or you've pulled it during a game with some degree of severity.

I can imagine Jose is either being honest as to not having a clue as to when Pogba will be back as hamstrings can be difficult to predict, and probably annoyed because he knows how vital Pogba is to his side and therefore the frustration on not being able to call on him explains the misery.

From a more conspiracy perspective, we know that Jose hates it when players do not play through injury, and not overly enthused with those who take longer to recover than they should. So if Pogba has some independent expert saying he needs to take longer to recover, and Pogba doesn't want to come back until he is 100% right.. that would definitely piss someone like Jose off.

FWIW I would rather drop points than have Pogba come back half fit. He has a long career ahead of him and if there is something preventative he can do now to stop these type of injuries plaguing him regularly in the future, then great. Last thing we want is a crock of a big signing. Let him take his time and hopefully we will see a bigger and better Pogba for the second half of the season.

What gives you the impression I’m Mourinho and posting on the Cafe under some slavic username/surname? Some other conspiracy theory? If Jose didn’t want to tell media when is Pogba back, doesn’t mean he doesn’t know when is he back, or he is in the dark as you said.

Firstly, Thanks for confirming you arent jose ,
So your summary is , either , Jose is aware of everything concerning his star buys injury status , but for some reason chooses to keep it private, hmm yeah OK , that's Jose taking mind games to a whole new level right there . do you really think a player with pogbas public persona could be ghosted into a match line up out of the blue, just to surprise an oppo manager ?? Where's the benefit in that ?...or b , Jose doesn't know for sure, which was kind of my original point.

Jose knows as much as anyone could know. Him choosing to share that with the media or not is another thing. It’s not new level of mind games, look at his assessment on other injuries, he tells nothing on Fellaini either. Him being in the dark over that kind of issue bears no thought, as him most of us all would want to know and plan ahead.

Maybe we didn’t understand each other, but someone in the dark over something I understand it as he doesn’t know as much as he could, which is bizarre because it concerns him the most, and probably has first hand info.

Pogba and Fellaini can't come soon enough. It is astounding that nobody(mostly media) knows the details about his injury or comeback, given his profile.

I'm starting to believe the reports saying he won't return till December tbh. :(

Not his fault but it's a bit irritating to see all his instagram videos when our team is currently struggling. Especially when they won't even tell us when he'll be back.

I don't really see why that would irritate you.

Plus I personally think we're being coy about his return date because he will return in time for Chelsea maybe.

I don't get how you can be sprinting and still not return till December?

It's not like he is recovering after being out for a really long period, he was playing for us last month and is now sprinting in videos, surely he is going to be back very soon?!

You mean just like he was supposed to be back for Liverpool?

Is he still in USA? Living la vida loca?

Who insinuated he would be back for Liverpool?

The original estimate was 4-6 weeks out, the Liverpool game was exactly 4 weeks. This week makes it 5, so it makes sense to expect him to return in a week and a half.

As long as he's still in USA, I can't say he's close to return.

I'll only expect him to return him soon when I see him in training at Carrington.

Still Jose don't know when Pogba will be back at Carrington? still not responsible? I wonder.

Mourinho must've read about that time Ferguson told everyone Valencia would be out for a full month, only to start him the same weekend. Pogba to return vs Spurs for sure!

What is going on with him and why is there no estimate?

Good to see Phil Jones on the bench tonight. I thought that might be another long term one. Certainly need Pogba and Fellaini back asap (I can't believe I actually wrote that!)

So PSG would be his boyhood club then? I see the injury as him trying to force a move, the product placement is a clear sign he's angling for a move surely..... :D. Fergie would be turning in his grave over that.
Are you being serious?
