That's pretty bad news. His ability to out-muscle or dribble an opponent in the middle of the park and thus turn defence into attack would have been invaluable against Liverpool's high press.

What the feck.

He’ll miss 3 of our biggest games of the year. Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea. Absolutely horrible.

This could really derail his entire season which will only que the know nothing pundits to go full steam ahead on their Pogba’s a waste of money train

We'll be fine against Liverpool I believe as long balls worked well against them the last time we met them and they have no answer to it. We'll play with a trio of Matic, Herrera and Fellaini with the later being pushed forward.

Think we'll have more problems without him against the other top clubs as Spurs and Chelsea.

So it was 4 to 6 weeks and surgery isn't required?
Liverpool was never going to happen and he hopes to be back for Chelsea so, again, it isn't so bad.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him feature v Benfica to be honest.

Completely agree. He was looking like an absolute monster and now he'll be back to square one in terms of fitness and it'll take him a while to reach the levels we'll need.

He's a young, fit, strong lad, I don't think it will take him much to get back to form.

Need to get Fellaini back quick, keep Carrick wrapped up for many 15 minute cameos and rest Matic up fast. Oh, and send Valencia a "you're welcome but please can we have it back for a bit" letter.

Its a crying shame but with matic fellaini herrera all in good form i feel we will be alright. Hopefully carrick is back soon to help with rest and rotation

Herrera getting back into form is so important now. Matic-Herrera will be our main duo I imagine until he comes back which I'm pretty happy with tbh if it works anything close to how it did against CSKA then we'll be fine.

One more injury in that department and we're up shit-creek.

Him missing the Liverpool game isn't too bad considering he always plays horrible against them. Spurs and Chelsea games are going to hurt.

Pereira shouldn't have pushed for a loan. If Pogba's really out until November, Pereira would definitely have gotten chances to impress.

Not sure he's even starting at Valencia at the moment.

But there is understood to be concern at United that Pogba might still be unavailable

So still no actual confirmation. Just saying don't be surprised when "injury boost" news comes out after the France call-ups happen.

This is such bs from the club now, they know but aren't saying. They know the extent of his injury. It ain't going to soften the blow at this stage. It's hardly mind games with the rest of the league, the uncertainty is horrible. Just give an estimation and move on. It can't be good for the team or fans saying in press conferences 'I don't know'. Best time to say when the results are good.

But why telegraph the status of our selection to the rest of the prem?

The only people need to know are the coaching staff and manager.

Sad part is apart from Fellaini we haven't seen any goals from Matic or Herrera or Carrick. And I wouldn't count on Fellaini scoring often, so Pogba missing makes us less of a goal threat from the middle of the park. Hopefully Mkhitaryan and Mata will chime in with more.

The truth is probably that Pogba is out for a long, long time. Minimum 2 months, would not be surprised if he's out for 4 months given how quiet we have been about it.

So that's half a season wasted then

Matic has to be stay fit and absolutely carefully managed now. Can't afford to have him down as well

The club probably knew but they yet to decide he needs a surgery or not so they don't want to say anything regarding his absence time.

There's a November international break?

I assumed they meant the one coming up after this weekend but nope, there's another of these loathsome fecking things right round the corner just after.

If he's really out for this long, we should recall Andreas. (Then loan him out again on January  )

Great! He'll miss our biggest games this year. Started the season on fire and now this. I hope Herrera comes into form and Matic won't be injured. Don't know about Carricks injury, but if it is long term, we are fecked. Can Lindelof play DM?

If all is true about the Jose bollocking, I hope he bollocks him some more.

WTF???

Is the cafe gone mad?

There is no information confirming this from the club. This is the same rumor that came out the day after he got injured. The "bad news united fans, Pogba gonna miss all your big games" Rumor. If that was the case the Player would already know and he is not the most silent now is he.

We know as much now, as we did the day after he got injured. Plus if there was any credible link to this negitave United story sky would be all over it, as always. They are silent on this news(for now)

For me this is just a rehash of the original story that Pogba could be out for 2 months. It could still turn out to be true of course but for some reason the total silence on this makes me think its tactical and the surprise out of the blue return is on the cards

Wouldn't worry too much about him regaining fitness, he's a beast. Plus I imagine he will be doing some form of workout in the gym.

The lmportant people all probably know. Why do the fans really need to know? He's either fit or he isn't.

Doesn’t make a difference what we know though. Those who need to know, they know.

That's the part I don't get, other teams report on player injuries, look at Mendy for example. If it's not important to let the fans know about injuries then why do other teams do it?

Mendy is probably out for the season - nothing to hold back.

I'm not fussed though - they will make an announcement in due course. Just forget about Pogba until he's back.
