Pogba out for 4 to 6 weeks | No Megathreads

We haven't missed him so far.

We have won the games comfortably, but we still haven't been our best.

Also, most big clubs can afford to lose a star player and keep winning. City never crumble during the annual Aguero injury. Real can win without Ronaldo etc. It should never be a reason to validate their absence. We don't always need Pogba to win, but we do to be the best version of ourselves. I'd feel better with him back.

Does anyone have any clue how long he’s gonna be out? We’ve heard everything from a week tops to 3 months in the dirt sheets!

Didnt Fellani injure his cruciate knee ligaments last night for Belguim? Missing him and Pogba against pool could be tricky!

Think it was SAF who questioned Jordan Henderson and his running style? Either way Giggsy should get him to take up Yoga!
Thing is it was not a problem for Pogba until he caught one last season.

Giggs and Henderson had history with same injury from early of t

3 months out for a hammy injury that wasn't even severe enough to warrant surgery?

It'd be an incredible lay off bearing in mind he seemed to stroll off, if I remember correctly.

A 3 monther you'd have expected some sort of "sniper" shooting pain reaction.

Maybe the club is being extra cautious, he has a history of hamstring problems.

Seems like its done on purpose. We always reveal dates on injuries. Why we haven't done here is bemusing. And then you have Pogba dancing and sending out cryptic tweets/instagram posts - we could be waiting for #Pobackandbackagain.

No one has a clue about it, even Jose? weird.

It looks that way.

Really annoying. I genuinely don't know if he'll somehow be back for Liverpool, or if he's out until the New Year.

I fear it's a more serious injury than we expected.

Of course Jose knows, medical science hasn't suddenly regressed over the last 4 months.
What we should be asking is why Jose doesn't want to make it public. My theory is he wants to ease Pogba in and give him a rest if we're still winning and playing well
My suspicion is as soon as we look a bit iffy Jose will bring Paul back in the fold.

Worst case it's another 6 weeks I reckon. That'd be a 10-11 week layoff. Which is a lot for a non surgical hamstring tear, but not out of the realms of normality. I'd say a total layof 8 weeks is more likely. Which is about another 3.5 weeks.

He’s got some training clips on his insta and it looks like he has some good movement but even I can see he doesn’t look like he’s at 100. I agree he’ll be out for another month

Resigned to him missing on Saturday v Liverpool, hopefully there's a chance he makes Spurs at the end of the month. For that to happen though surely he will have to resume training in the next week or so?

That doesn't mean he's ready to come back

It's a good signing he has started training some days ago for me. That means he'll be back in about 1-2 weeks or so.

Still predict him to be on the bench vs Huddersfield.

I would rather he misses the Liverpool game and be fully fit then have him half fit on the field. Dont want another injury

Any chance of him playing against Liverpool?

I think 20% chance starting, 40% chance on the bench.

Don't think Jose will risk him. After all it's three points. I know it's Liverpool, but I rather keep him safe for upcoming big games and heavy December fixtures. The upcoming big games and December could be tipping point.

It has been roughly a month. It's normal not to "announce" the injury time estimate ? Has it happened before ?

Looking at the video he might very well be atleast in match day squad for Liv game. Not a bad replacement for Fellaini though:p

I think he is doing non contact training. I think it will take him a week before he goes into full training at the very least. Also he will be a bit rusty too missing 6 odd weeks. I dont think we risk him in Liverpool where challenges will be flying in.
30 mins against benfica, 60 against huddersfield and then start against swansea. Our season depends upon him. I dont think jose risks Pogba unless its very low risk of a re-occurring. It also depends on what time these videos were made, if they are from last week then he could play a part against Liverpool.

He pulled a muscle. I'm no medical expert, but he doesn't need 'non-contact training'. It wasn't even a contact injury. Once the muscle has healed, he's back, saving for match-fitness.

Him playing against Liverpool with a healed hamstring doesn't put him at risk in my eyes.

Is that an anti gravity treadmill like the one they use in NASA? Can't be near recovery if he's still using that.

I don't know when Pogba will be back, the optimism for him returning at Liverpool is odd. He's in the US and it's Wednesday, seriously. Do youse think Jose would even contemplate reintroducing him in an intense game like this. The worst thing you can do with a hamstring injury is rush someone back. We don't want him to tighten it or pull it again so soon. He would need to be slowly worked back in to full training with the team. A video of dancing in a car with a football and sliding across the floor with slippers proves nothing. It's the first steps, when you see him do light training on the pitch in Carrington then get optimistic.

Can't see him featuring this month. He's still in America ffs and probably hasn't been anywhere near kicking a ball.

He can be back from America in a matter of hours. I doubt he'd be made to kick a ball around for weeks before getting a run-out. Jose isn't a 'match rhythm' guy like LVG.
