No point keeping him. But milk this transfer. Absolutely rinse the club that's buying him. There is no need for player plush cash deal; no top player would want to come from Madrid to Manchester. Therefore the deal should be as much cash as we can get. Buy talented youngsters. Move on.

The narrative at united has completely changed this season.

At the start of 19 season: following a second place finish in 18, europa league win in 17 and FA Cup win in 2016; we were supposed to finally kick on and challenge for the title.
Cue Mourinho not getting his transfers and subsequent hissy fit and nose dive in form/player relations.

The narrative at united is no longer a team ready to challenge for major honours, but a massive rebuild job.
A player like Pogba who is 26 and considers himself elite doesn’t want to ‘waste’ his best years challenging for top 4.

I don’t agree with him, but if his heart isn’t in it we need to let him move on. Same for DDG.
I’d take an average player with the heart of a lion over a quality player that isn’t bothered every single day of the week.

We need to cash in on want-away players and sign young hungry talented players.

I just wish for once the club would signal its intent off the bat, so that we can control the narrative.
As it is we seem like a basket case that lurches from one crisis to another with a board that’s always a step or two behind events. You need to sell the project to attract the players.

We are a massive club with all the potential in the world, just not being utilised at the moment.

Do you think they were deliberately sabotaging United when they kept saying Ole's the man when he was interim?

No, of course not. We all thought Ole was the right man during his interim spell.

Obviously the picture is now is very different, point being that Lukaku, De Gea and Pogba wouldn't be as eager to leave if we hadn't ended the season in relegation form. It's a lot easier to keep players and sign good ones when you're on an upward trajectory.

Funny if he is going back to Juventus, cause that's not a new challenge for him at all

Pogba's not stupid. He knows if he stays here for much longer he'll have wasted his prime years not winning the major club trophies.

Are you okay. Coutinho wanted out and went for about that much. £150m minimum or he stays.

And Hazard went for £100m+ with one year on his contract.

I'm fine with him going tbh, but we have to reinvest the money well.

We need to sign before we sell though. We'll get rinsed in return when a club knows we need a replacement or two and we have £150m in our pocket.

The way United fans have treated our players, I'm not surprised he wants to leave. However, if he wants to go to Madrid, he'll be treated worse by that vermin.

At least he'll be winning trophies for an ambitious club for his troubles

Entirely agree.

Somewhere in europe, Jose is opening his web browser and laughing at this pogba news.

The virus has reemerged in full form, ready to cripple us by forcing a move.

Somewhere in Asia, Jose is looking for a job ;)

I am astonished buy how little a shit I give. Some of you are behaving like we are losing a player that has let us to countless trophies.
The who team needs to be rebuilt. Don't care who leaves.

I’d be alright with him going but I don’t think we’d be able to replace him. And it’ll be a big loss, an obvious one.

All the talent is leaving and our rumoured buys are basically brexit-FC.

Jesus. As long we get 125+ million i don't care. Let Juve and Madrid get into a bidding war.

The only problem is that Woodward will probably take a cut-price deal because we'll get Bale in an offer :nervous::nervous:
Seems some fans are desperate for Bale the way they keep linking his name to United. Nothing suggest the club wants Bale.

I mean, he could just put the effort in and try and make us competitive. He's going to have to do that anywhere else he goes anyway.

We have a rookie as manager, an idiot as Ceo and we have a pack of idiots one of which has just been given a 5 year contract. He's no miracle worker

Agree.

I'd be worried if we were losing Ronaldo again, or even Ruud or Beckham but Pogba? Nah.

Pogba's not stupid. He knows if he stays here for much longer he'll have wasted his prime years not winning the major club trophies.

And I don't think that it's a great feeling to be hated by the fans, local medias and club legends.

He would have been really stupid to not ask for a transfer.

No player is bigger than the club.Pogba is a good player with moments of world class quality but thats it.

He is world class player on one day and next day he is just awful. Our midfield is so slow with movement and with speed of play(passing),his sulking when things dont go as planned is embarassing for a star player and for some time a captain of the club.

If he wants to leave just sell him.

As I said previously, that's non of Pogba's business or concern. His job is to be the best he can and improve people around him if he is in fact better than them.

In the real world, acting like he currently is in the work place would get you fired, best employee or not.

He's basically said he wants out and people still think we're in a position to demand £150 million?
Precedent with Coutinho and Hazard (they're getting up to £133M for him despite having one year left on his contract and being two years older) says yes. He's got two more years on his contract with the option of a third that is activated on our end. He can act up and throw his toys out the pram all he wants. If they don't meet our valuation he's going nowhere.

Where's he going? Which club?
Real Madrid.

I don`t understand why we should get more than Barca paid for Coutinho , just because they massively overpaid doesn`t mean everyone else should use that as a benchmark . Said it at the time , the Coutinho money was top business from Liverpool , he was not worth anywhere near that amount .
I also don`t understand people defending Pogba and saying they don`t blame him , wasting his best years , should be in the champions league etc . He signed a lucrative long term contract to be part of a rebuilding process and has now decided he can`t be arsed . No matter how good technically he is we will have to sell as he has already mentally checked out and is no good for a team that has got a difficult season ahead .
I for one won`t miss him , attitude stinks .

Glad he's made it clear if wasn't obvious anyway. I can't see anyone paying much more than £100m though. Real can't have an endless pot of cash after buying Hazard, which leaves Juve.

He's not going anywhere this window. We've already lost one of our best midfielders and there's no chance we'll be able to replace him this summer with all the other positions that needs upgrading as well. Similar to Hazard, he'll get his wish next year.

Disgusted by those comments from these players. First Lukaku (who can feck off anyway) and now our best player. How did we end up in this mess?!

Absolutely doomed next season unless that idiot Woodward starts signing some quality players.

£150m minimum.

Who can afford him, plus his wages (290k per week)?

Madrid have just spent £300m.

There's no way back from that comment so it's a done deal he's gone imo. Doesn't want to play for us, so see ya. Go and play for Madrid, because if you are leaving United cause some fans have called you out on some shite performance's, wait until the Madrid fans are kicking your car in.
Exactly. And it wasn't even a lots of fans, that's the best part.

I mean, he could just put the effort in and try and make us competitive.
You mean like being the best assist and goalscorer? Had our forwards not gone through horrific form he should have had double the number of assists.
