He may be a world class talent but his character is poor. That has become quite the issue in our team.
You'll find a whole lot of potentially better players than Pogba, Sanchez, Lukaku, Matic, Herrera, Mata that would want to make it at any big club. Obviously United is one of the biggest clubs in the world, there won't be any shortage on good players wanting to join us in the future. Look at Liverpool, Spurs etc. struggling for years with quality and suddenly they find a whole lot of good players. You know they don't have to be overpaid and over the hill players or prima-donnas who doesn't want to win anything with the club and treat United like a high paying stepping stone. So the good players doesn't care and should go before the deadwood?
Good luck to find top players that wants to join the sinking ship.
It is not optimal to lose your potentially best players obviously, but sometimes other aspects is more important. If Pogba had shown consistency in performances you'd not see many want him out, if he showed some loyalty we would have given him more time because of his potential. As it stands, he hasn't proved himself to be a world class player for United, and he wants out. Only one way to handle that situation, isn't it? It sucks, but there is simply no point collecting players who doesn't want to perform for the club.Which world class would player would come to a team struggling to get into the CL and has a rookie manager that presided over the worst run in the club's history. The optics of the club look bad and if we lose 2 of our only world class players the situation looks even worse for any new signings.
While you do have a point, you are proposing we just keep on doing the things we have been doing, which we also know doesn't work. Wouldn't you rather try to change it instead of relying on desperate overpaid and overhyped big money signings? You'd be happy if we sign Dybala and keep Pogba at this point? I think that is just papering over the cracks. It might give us a transfer muppet rush, but after that we're still stuck with a player who doesn't want to be here and a player that wasn't good enough for Juventus despite being rated as world class by many. They have a manager and coaching staff known for improving players. United haven't improved a player for the last 6 years. The coaching staff we have is the same as under Mourinho. I think the situation is very different for the two clubs. We need ready made world class players as we don't have the structure in place to improve players.
You will be surprised later to realize that he is nowhere near good as people make out. In fact he has nothing extra about him.
It probably won't be far from that. Pogba wants out, Bale is surplus to requirements yet Ed is gonna believe his high profile and previous work in the PL will save face by swapping a 'superstar' for another 'superstar'. But the truth is both are damaged goods from a perception/reputation.It would be the perfect example of Woodward's idiocy when we hear about Pogba <-> Bale swap deal. No fees.

There might be fuzzy math done in the papers to make both sides look good but in no way is anyone paying 160M for Pogba and no other team has the money to pay what Real would want + the wages for Bale. Soft landing for both players and clubs. Have a feeling that both clubs and respective supporters will regret the move at a later date.
Is this going to affect his plans if he intends to leave ?
Not even a world record fee, 250 million or whatever, should be considered. Every single person associated with Manchester United is replaceable - players, coaches, manager, CEO, owners - with one world class exception. Of course I'm talking about the WC winner, the player who carries this midtable team, the player who is only behind Ronaldo and Messi when it comes to global popularity and marketing power: Paul Pogba.
Get rid of entire team for all I care, even De Gea became Championship level keeper lately. PP has to be kept at all costs, he's the only positive aspect of Manchester United these days.
Chortle! either this is genuine in which case utter madness or a piece of sarcastic comedy genius

So you don’t want to sign de Ligt eitherWe were wrong in signing him.again. The less we have to do with Raiola, the better

Wrong! You won't get promoted easily with posts like these mate. Save them till you get the promotion.
Wrong!

Who cares though?Didn't know you give out likes based on opinions and whether they match your own. The rest of his post he says he'd sell the rest of our entire squad. It's just madness that somebody could be annoyed at everyone in our squad except Pogba, even for the most contrarian person. Pogba is the first name that comes up when i talk to people about the problems at United.
I can also give dislikes. A few mental breakdowns and you're gone.Only another eight mental breakdowns from you to go, then, and he’s made it.
Actually he might well be just like Gerrard in winning a couple cups here and there but never the Premier LeagueHe'll never be a character like Gerrard who'll put in 100% even when surrounded by shite
I used to see it this way but your last paragraph perfectly exemplifies why ideally he should go. Fantastic player and talent but only when it suits him. We can't build a team that gets the best out of him without relying on him because he's someone who doesn't fit neatly in to any tactical setup and would necessitate us having to build a team around him, which as the last 2 seasons have shown, is impossible to do because he's so prone to these excessive dips in form and temprement. There have been good arguments made for both selling and keeping Pogba. I personally would base it all on what the player wants. If he's unhappy to be at the club, we should sell for a big fee and rebuild, if he's happy to stay, I consider him one of our best players and one of the best in the world. We should build around him.
He'll never be a character like Gerrard who'll put in 100% even when surrounded by shite, or like Keane who'll give it 100% in every game regardless of the opposition or the status in the match.
Not everyone is like that, but he is a match winner and when the mood takes him, unplayable. If he wants to stay, we should build a team that gets the best out of him, without relying on him.
That’s why if Glazers and Ed have balls they will stand firm. They got the guts to let him rot in the reserves?I'm not sure there is a huge market for him. Real maybe but they seem to be in the process of securing Hazard. For a club even as big as Real to snap these 2 in the same window would be some achievement. I certainly don't see 2 or 3 clubs getting into a bidding war for him. I don't see him leaving for some huge inflated fee unfortunately. I think we'd get essentially what we paid or a little bit more. Real are low balling Hazard right now, no doubt they do the same to us. We will also have our annual De Gea to Real saga I'm sure as well.
