Jesus Christ some people can't help themselves, he's not going anywhere this transfer window.

I don't think he can leave now, we haven't replaced Herrera, we have no creative midfielder if he's gone.

We will need to buy 2 high-profile midfielders if we sell Pogba.

In about 5.5 days!

The likelihood of that is 0, and Woody will get bashed by everyone if that happens.

That said, I do not think we will be able to buy the additional midfielder we need unless Woody is able to sell Darmian, one or both of Rojo and Jones, maybe Lingard and TFM. We will need to raise money, and quick.

He will stay for another season then he will leave. But since we have better squad now, if we also get Dybala, and end up in top 3 next season, he may change his mind and want to stay.

How the hell do you know that?

Because it's pure logic from every single perspective there is.

I've maintained this since before the season ended. From a sporting perspective the manager has made it clear that he wants to build a team around Pogba, he's easily one of our best players, if not the best, and he's a key part in us improving as a team and finishing top 4. From a marketing perspective, having finished the season outside the top 4 with no champions league next season, with a rather unknown manager, losing our biggest star would be a huge blow and a rather shit statement about our future. A transfer makes feck all sense to the manager and it makes feck all sense to the higher ups at the club. He's under a long term contract as well.

Another factor is priorities, the number of players we needed to bring in (and we haven't exactly done a great job so far), losing a key first team player and needing to replace one more player would be brutal. It's fecking difficult to successfully integrate half a new first team.

The only uncertainty was how much shit Raiola and Pogba were going to stir up, but it's been surprisingly calm, probably because Real Madrid aren't pushing for a transfer (for a number of reasons). There's also the Euros next season, and he's hardly unprofessional (even though some like to pretend he is). Our current relationship with Real Madrid is shit at best, given how far outside our interest it is to lose Pogba this summer we'd go a long fecking way to tell them to get bent.

We'll offer him a contract extension with a fat wage, and set conditions that allows him to leave next summer for a hefty fee and it'll be a win-win for all parties.

I can’t see him leaving. Only club he seems to want to go to/can afford him is Real Madrid. I’m pretty sure Perez has slammed on the brakes with Zidane’s recent guidance of the shiny new players. He might be reshuffling his cards to try this play again in January to make sure he doesn’t dump a massive chunk of money on Pogba when his house is still on fire.

Pogba also played the long game of waiting to see if there’s any serious upgrades around him. With his best friend about to join, he’s finally got someone to trust in attack. He’s obviously not thick and can see that our defence is a lot more solid now with Maguire + AWB. This means less defending for him and more attacking.

Slap in the fact that he’s due a raise soon along with Ole hinting at the captaincy for him..

Making less and less sense for Pogba to move on from here.

He very much could still leave but based on all the perspective it makes a lot less sense than it did in May.

Madrid will be back in for him next summer. We got to get him to sign a new contract so we don’t lose leverage in 12 months time in regards to the transfer fee.

No way he leaves, if he was going to there would have been noise about this for the last few weeks. Its also pretty clear Madrid don't have the money this summer after all their spending and failing to sell a single one of the players they expected and hoped to.

I think right now we got 2 years +1 year option, which is essentially 3 years

But we can simply tell them to get fecked, and then he stays. Besides, he will stay in a stronger team, with good defence and good dybala

We can, yes, just a feeling I have. Find it hard to believe that after all that was said at start of summer that he would stay.

People who think Pogba won't leave because his friend might be joining are so wrong. These are professional people who care for their careers above everything else. I still reckon there is a 25-30% leaves this window.

This is fair enough, I mean Pogba did leave Juve when Dybala was there so its not like they cant be separated and one wont move without the other, they just happened to have a good relationship while they were in the same team. I dont think players make moves based purely on what their friend does.

Pogba gets on with a lot of players, Dybala, Griezmann, Lingard, Zouma, Matuidi, (despite being a virus in the dressing room!!) so this aspect is overlpayed a bit. I still dont think he goes Madrid this summer though, I'm not convinced they want him other than Zidane who might be replaced by Jose anyway so that would go down like a lead balloon. Annoying thing is they until the end of August to disrupt him if they so choose which Madrid are not against doing the swines.

I think he's staying at this point. The only way I can see him potentially leaving is if we buy Fernandes before the window shuts, but even then I think we'd be leaving ourselves short and can't really see it happening. I would be amazed if we let him leave without getting a CM in before the window slams shut. That would be reckless.

Apparently they fell out, and aren’t as close anymore.

It was obvious something happened as at the beginning he was always with Pogba when he was doing his Instagram stuff. Now they are never together.

It's that thunder**** Chris Wheeler who broke the 'story

4 hours earlier he stated he did not travel because of injury.

Now apparently he has stopped in Mcr to sort a move out to Madrid. Lads the team flew to Cardiff. Not Canada, Cardiff. Chances are the lot of them will be back in Mcr for the 10 o'clock news, so how Pogba is going to sort out his move to Madrid in 24 hours is well a mystery at the very least.

Madrid in some respects are in a similar boat to us in that they have a lot of highly paid players on their books. What works in our favour is that they can only register 25 players for La Liga, no homegrown extras either. Madrid need to offload at least six players to get one in.

I doubt PP will leave this window

There’s a distinct possibility we’ve said to him ‘give us one good year and we will let you leave next summer.’

The moment Madrid pulled the plug on Bale leaving was the sign for me that Pogba is staying. They needed Bale's wage to pay for Pogba, but we've clearly told him he's going nowhere this summer.

And there’s also the fact they’re about to sign Van Beek.

Honestly, I feel that a lot can change in a year. I won't discount any possibilities at this stage.

Yep, that’s mines too.

Then again, I won’t be surprised if Bale outlasts Zidane at Real. They appoint Jose and no danger Pogba will go to Madrid.

Pretty much, but I doubt they were ever going to pay our valuation.

If their season goes awry, Perez will panic and may appoint Jose. Forget about Pogba there then.

Mourinho won't be going back to Madrid. Hes is not liked there by a lot of players and fans. Zidane is their hero after 3 Champions League medals in a row. He wants Pogba and he will get him, if not before deadline, then next season or even January. Everyone can see the way things change in the transfer market now.

There have been speculations that Pogba won´t be brought to Real Madrid because of the board´s close connection to Mourinho, who they see as a natural replacement for Zidane (sacked before Christmas). Pogba will stay at United, and Fernandes won´t be brought in.

This could be the season when the early transfer window comes back to bite us. We were one of the few Premier league clubs who voted against the change, remember, precisely because it opened the possibility of continental clubs buying our players when we no longer had the option to buy to replace them. Anyone who thinks that Real's transfer business is done is, I fear, complacent, and it looks like PP is still angling to get away (and FFP is a problem that any decent accountant can swerve). Dybala doesn't seem to be a done deal. Do we think the Glazers would turn down two serious offers in August if they come in after our own deadline? The Glazers - driven by money? Reports suggest that even Levy, possibly the tightest pocket in the league, is looking at bringing in Fernandes just in case Eriksen goes after August 8th. I'm not the greatest fan of Lukaku, and think PP needs to turn it on for more games than he does now, but to lose both and be left relying on teenagers to fill the gaps would be pretty disastrous.

It would be the dream situation, let's hope Zizou goes mental and gets himself sacked :D
