Would you accept Dybala and Sandro for Pogba?

As I said before: Pogba is a great player, and could be on of the long term stars of the United resurrection but is he the player we need now? If he stays he needs to accept that it's his responsibility to lead the team mostly in the mental aspect. If he wants to be the leader he needs to act like the leader.
If not, we're better of with players who fit the squad and balance our midfield, granted we buy the players who we really need and are suited for the system Ole wants to play

The problem with all of this for me is the timing. Our pre-season's almost done and we're losing someone who played a big part in the way we've been setting up. Even if we bring in a quality replacement, there's no telling whether the'll be able to hit the ground running. Real dragged their feet on this so we should make them wait till next season instead of disrupting our own.

I've never said he's 10/10 every match. Obviously he's had some poor games, but what player hasn't?

You blindly ignore the fact he's our best player. Most goals, most assists and he's not a forward.

Perhaps if the others pulled their weight he wouldn't have to be roy of the rovers and concentrate on 1 job.
I'm not saying he didn't have good games, he did. He may have been our best player, but he had no competition really. All I'm saying is if he wants to go, he will probably be worse next season if he's forced to stay. We may as well get the money in and respend it, although with the way woody performs it would take a giant leap in faith he would get that done before the window shuts

Was the tweet reliable? Or perhaps you guys don't care about that.

There is no doubt losing Pogba and replacing him with SMS is big downgrade, Savic is a very very overrated player.

It’s like selling your stash of high quality weed to buy someone’s lawn grass. Sure, you could say they vaguely resemble each other.

Apparently pictured training even though that states he wasn’t. Let’s see. If he was off it would be unlikely he’d even be there right now.

Replacing one overrated midfielder with another one so. We should at least be no worse off and we’ll net about 50m in the process. Excellent business.

I'm not sure where did this idea of "Sell Pogba, will buy Bruno and SMS" come from?
If We decided to sell him, He will be sold for a huge amount of money. And guess what? the potential sellers will know about it and up their players prices too.
We could end up paying more for those two.

Apparently sat out of training and is a doubt for tonight.

I think he's kept his end of the bargain, behaving on the tour, and now we'll keep our end and he'll get his move.

I am convinced he is off. We will sell him in mid to late August after doing our business and waiting for Real to free up some funds. Real would be in for a midfielder by now (Eriksen or someone else), which tells me they are waiting for a specific player.

Unless those deals are already in place and agreed. Nobody knows.

Yeah that's my belief too.
Reinvestment..?
Who knows, I don't get the feeling that we are close to a major signing or two....

I dunno, maybe we'll get one of Bruno, SMS or Dybala. Possibly we'll get that player in first to avoid more price inflation and we've got longer to make sales anyway.

This is why Bruno and SMS look to have been lined up before Pogba gets his move

Pogba isn't suited to Ole's pressing game. For example, if you put Pogba in that Liverpool midfield, as great as he is individually, I think it would drastically change their game. I don't want him to leave but I wouldn't lose sleep if he did.

Fernandes is Herrera’s replacement, what are people losing their shit over? Pogba is going nowhere.

The thing is, due to the refurbishment at the Bernabeau, they haven't really got the room for Pogba's wages (and that's not including the £150m-£180m transfer fee) without selling or at least removing the wages of at least Bale, maybe even James. Up to now, both look like they are staying, and indeed the latter has already been confirmed to stay. So where is the space for him?

I think if he leaves which is looking likely, it will be a move that will become mutually regrettable. However, if a player, irrespective of his quality, wants to leave then get rid.

Shame. We will miss him.

Why are you so confident of this?

A lot of rumors last night and this morning that Real are close to signing him and a few hours later he's injured.

He already came out and said he wants out, it'd be very surprising if he stays at this stage imho.

Better to get rid now before he lays down his arms and starts putting in zero effort like he did last year when he wanted Mourinho out.

It's much better to have a motivated Fernandes or whoever than a pouting Pogba who sulks and brings everyone down.

How about Pogba pushes for his move to Real Madrid so that he can play for his hero, Zidane, but Real have a disasterous start to the season, Zidane gets the sack, and Real appoint Mourinho.....

In a vacuum, selling Pogba is a huge mistake. However if reports are true (even though probably 80%+ of the reports are rubbish) Lukaku and Pogba for Dybala, Savic, and Bruno isn't a bad swap although it may be a lateral move. With that said United should take Real Madrid to the cleaners. Not only does their aging midfield need a player like Pogba but his marketing impact will probably allow them to recoup a large portion of the fee even if he is average.
