Would you accept Dybala and Sandro for Pogba?

The idea of selling Pogba and bringing in Bruno and SMS is exciting. If you could believe we've agreed deals for two players, based on reported, then those two look very likely right now. It's also strange how there were press reports that we told Raiola to shut up if he wants the move and since then not a peep.

Get the Maguire deal over the line then perhaps even Dybala for Lukaku and our options are significantly stronger.

That's a lot of business to be done but it all looks doable as it stands. Still don't believe or have any faith we will though. But in theory i like it.

Both these players will take at least half a season to acclimatise to the PL. We need to hit the ground running. This is bad for us.

We could've said to Paul a while ago if Real come back with a reasonable bid you can go but you train and play for now. The tour would've been important to United.

Madrid will want to keep Zizou happy so I can see they'll come back with a big bid. We probably have a few irons in the fire.

If he's not playing tonight, should be a decent indication a deal is in progress.
I always had a feeling this was the case. You can see he looked happy, no social media present. I am still hoping he will stay for a season atleast.
However , even though he is our best player , he will never be settle here and hence will never be at top of his game.
So it is good for both parties to part ways, but we should get enough money to buy SMS, bruno and some change for one more MF in my opinion

Dude the players you mentioned is literally making my mouth water. Lets see if they can get the deals done. It looks obvious to me that the club is willing to let Pogba and Lukaku go for 200 plus and rebuild from that money.

I can't pretend I'm too upset by the prospect of Pogba leaving, especially for that money and with the prospect of SMS and Fernandes coming in.

Pogba suffers from the age old syndrome of he gets better and better the longer you don't see him play. In three years at the club he has largely put in 5/6 out of 10 performances, and in the last few months he has been awful. People will point to one reason or another, but the world's truly top players stand out in any team, under any circumstances. He's rarely stood up to be counted, and in my opinion has been more trouble than it's worth.

Undoubtedly a top player on his day, but if Fernandes and SMS come in and put in 7 out of 10's every week, we are a stronger team going forward.

Lost far bigger and better players than Pogba before, and I will be happy to lose the circus.

However, it goes without saying that if he goes and isn't replaced with such quality (Fernandes AND SMS), we could be in big trouble.

And this is based on what? Loads of players have had an instant impact at their new clubs. Could go either way but we can't say for sure.

I just don't get people talking about what is better for united Pogba or any1 else.
It is very easy - if Pogba have same attitude he have in 90% of the games he played -it will be better to play Grant in midfield(least damage for team).

If player doesn't want to be in the team price have zero importance from team performance perspective - just replace hem with some1 who want to play and give hes 100% off and on the pitch (is this what united is all about?)

There is 0 chance of us selling with just over a week to go in the window, unless we've got Fernandes/Savic READY to go straight away. It would be suicide.

If we start the season with DDG, Wan-Bissaka, Dybala, Fernandes, Milinkovic-Savic, Maguire along with the promotion of key youth but with no Pogba and Lukaku, that would be a fantastic window.

We aren't even in for Fernandes. And I think the SMS talk is just that: talk. Why are we even taking the ramblings of a clear bullshitter seriously? I know we're bad, but even we wouldn't sell our best player at this point in the window.

The fact of the matter is, for Real to be anywhere near to a position of buying Pogba, they needed to sell and get James' and Bale's wages off the books. As yet, they've done neither. The only person in Madrid who wants Pogba, is Zidane. Perez and even the fans are nonplussed. Do you really think with all that in mind that Perez would jeopardize their FFP status for a signing like Pogba?

Unless we have been negotiating with Real for a while and knew Pogba was leaving.

Quite unlikely but not impossible

He is the only player capable of magic in our squad and yet i am not too fussed about him leaving.

The fact is I can't understand how everyone is so happily willingly accepting SMS as replacement - just another hipster from the Italian league.

I don't know. Well i do know one thing. If pogba goes, the club will make sure that we feck it up with useless signings.

Woodward should be fired on the spot if he ends up selling Pogba this late.

Would be complete lunacy.

No chance he's sold this late.

McTominay has a very similar style to Savic so I have absolutely no idea why we would go for him. We need a proper defensively capable midfielder or a tempo setter, we have literally noone to do those jobs.

I think that's a credible link it's very specific, if Pogba has informed the club he intends on leaving there's really not much we can do. Zidane is in a dire situation given his team look so disorganized, it's desperation by Perez to make such a late bid in the window. As long as we get a feasible replacement and cover weakened midfield areas profile wise it's making the best out of a bad situation.

How about a scenario, where Woodward has taken control of the wheel and has decided that a part exchange deal for Gareth Bale would be the way to go....?
I am very worried that Real Madrid have apparently blocked Bale's move to China, why would they do that if there wasn't something else in the pipeline.

I'm guessing the money will be immediately re-routed to bring in SMS and Fernandes to soften the blow.

He may be slow little bit, but he is more mature player positionally than pogba. I don't see why would it be a bad deal.

Bizzare post I am reading on here.

No chance we sell this late in the window. I think we will have a Ronaldo like deal with him where he does one more season then goes with our blessing. I heard that a while ago as a rumour from a friend who works at the club and it would make the most sense.

Some people on here still trying to say selling Pogba is a good idea when the club has shown no ambition to replace the likes of Herrera or Fellaini.

I honestly don’t get how selling Pogba & buying a player to replace him while not replacing others is acceptable to fans.

We needed another midfielder when Herrera & Fellaini were here.

This Pogba agenda is bemusing. Say we sell him for €120mil & but SMS for €90mil that €30 is going straight in the Glazers back pocket - we don’t win in this situation, best we could hope for is status quo.

I guess that's possible but as we've seen with Lukaku he's been insolated in that instance.

If Pogba was really this close I don't think Ole would be making him integral to his plans. I hope this is just press BS or Madrid with their spies trying to unsettle Pogba. Perhaps he's not pushing as hard as they want him too. He seems to be happy lately which is good.

Elaborate then. I'm saying McTominay has a similar style, not that he is currently at the same level but could reach that.

He is not as creative and doesn't have a passing vision as SMS. Also not a physical threat in the box. He is a mild hybrid version of rice and longstaff. Not SMS.

I'll agree to disagree then, Scott will prove his worth this season, I have no doubt about it.

Damn, the Savic rumours may be founded in truth then. I'm really disappointed this is so late in the day. Bruno and SMS would soften this blow slightly, but it's going to take them some time to get used to the team and the league...

Pohba isn't the greatest in terms if mentality but look at the quality of teammates

But the quality of his team mates shouldn't affect his mentality, I just don't buy that. We may lose some quality on the pitch if he goes but nothing more, this guy isn't a leader. A true leader will lead whatever his team mates are capable of.

When we see tweet about us signing player then we all say "BS", but when some random unknown guy drops something which we don't like then it is true:confused:

Mental isn't it and it happens every single time without fail

Whether he proves himself or not, his playing style is not even remotely similar to SMS...

Yes it will but I really think we'll get more out of a midfield with those two in it than keeping Pogba. I think, if this is true, we are getting a good trade. There are no question marks over Bruno or SMS's attitude or work rate.

It would be absolute suicide if we sell Pogba. I don't care if we bring in SMS and Bruno. Ole has just spent 3 weeks preparing for a season with Pogba in it, the amount of work gone into the pre season to get the team organised.

Sell him this late on, all we will be doing is going 3 weeks behind in terms of how the team will play. SMS and Bruno to be integrated into the team in 1 week? who knows if they will slot straight in.

Not really the pressing issue though, pardon the pun. We will have a serious drop in quality if they don't hit the ground running, which is very plausible.

If we sign 2 midfielders within the next week then it's an indication he will be gone.

Yeah, I get you but keeping Pogba against his wishes could also have its problems. He's not always consistent anyway but how would his performances be? How would he be in the dressing room?
