In his three seasons thus far, we've failed as a club to provide the players required to give Pogba the platform to excell.
Matic who was up and down at Chelsea, but (many Chelsea fans thought he was done as a player) was deemed good enough for us though. We quite simply failed to get a DM with the legs to cover ground for Pogba.
We failed miserably to provide Pogba with the players that he needs to concentrate on creating/scoring goals. We signed a fabulous talent from Juve who knew how to get the best out of him and they had two very capable players (Vidal, Pirlo) behind him to break up play and control the tempo. Ironically both of those players cost less than Ashley Young. Why on earth did we try and mould him into something else? Mind boggling..
I don't blame him for wanting to leave because it's a short career. He's wanted by elite clubs, who will be challenging for all and sundry. Whilst at United it will be the same story with having to run back because our DM is incapable of providing the cover due to being as slow as a tortoise.
