I really enjoyed A Plague Tale. Don't get why they made it a PS5 only game though, it's simply a PS4 game. What other purpose does that serve beyond annoying PS4 customers? It's not like they need to incentivize people to move to PS5, demand still exceeds supply by a ridiculous margin. This is just a shit move by Sony.
It's recently received a PS5 upgrade, makes sense they'd release it solely for that console.
If I was a PS4 owner I'd be more annoyed about one of the games being a previous PS+ game and a shitty WWE game.

I'm not excusing the move but Sony do have to pay the publishers to put these games on PS Plus, you know. I'd imagine it was far cheaper to get it for 10m PS5 owners than 100m+ PS4 owners. It's likely not a case of not putting it on PS4 to try get people to buy a PS5, it was probably just too expensive to be worth it.
Yeah it's taking the piss now. I renewed it at the start of June mainly to keep the earlier games I wanna keep playing or havent played yet but last few months have been shambolic. Previously there used to be filler games but you had stuff like Tomb Raider or elite gems like Hollow Knight drop alongside. But ever since ff7r it has been pathetic. And yes putting up a game that is still on Ps4 only for ps5 users is a proper dick move as well.
Yup, it was on a decent run with Control, Remnant and FF7, but the last 3-4 have just been them taking the piss. The Plague's tale is really a proper middle finger to PS4 owners.
I’m sure A Plague Tale is decent but I’m so bored of games that try to give you the illusion of a lot happening around you when really it’s all just a load of pre-programmed animations to look like it’s all happening off the cuff. The bit near the start where you’re running with the kid and there’s soldiers all around you firing arrows which always just miss you. I basically just held R2 and changed direction to wherever I was supposed to go. There’s no fear of dying there. It’s essentially an interactive movie.

PlayStation just leaked the games for August on their website. It's not a great month, IMO.

This isn't just bad. They are giving away a game that has been called the worst tennis game ever made and barely cracks 50 on ratings. It's not even like a bad game but that had some popularity or something. Just something that's got absolutely nothing about it. You know how I am so sure? I actually bought this game once in a half asleep state thinking I was looking at something else and it's the worst thing I've ever spent money on. Uninstalled within 5 minutes and that's someone who always wants to play a tennis game.Come on. Another piss poor month?

the HDMI port on my PS4 appears to be buggered. and yet cant find a PS5 for love nor money. I certainly wont be lining the palms of any scalpers. and now theyve ruined PES, with the new version set to be FTP and mobile compatible so will be shit. i might just have to find a new hobby. or speak to the wife.

Uh, Ratchet & Clank is a big game. So was Miles Morales (albeit it's also on PS4).
And Returnal and Demon Souls were more AA than AAA but still big.
It's actually been a much better launch year than for the ps4 or ps3.

None oof those games really interest me tbh. Miles was more of a DLC type game which it was brilliant. R&C, Returnal and DS aren't what I'm interested in. Next game for me isn't till October with Far Cry 6 and Guardian's of the Galaxy.
That doesn't mean they're not big games though.

Had a look at Deathloop this morning and that doesn't get my juices flowing. Basically looks like Dishonoured with the same central gameplay mechanic as Returnal. In theory that should be great but meh. Visuals look pretty last gen as well.

Yep, I've been keeping my eye on Kena too, it looks great! I'll wait and see what the reviews think once it comes out.
