Gaming PlayStation 5

How good are the ps5? Got halve my mates telling me to get the new Xbox and halve telling me to get PlayStation. I’ve always been a PlayStation person to be honest.

Playstation 5 everyday of the week

Aside from having better content (generation after generation) the biggest next gen tech among the new consoles is the PS5 controller. Not using the dual sense controller would be such a huge downgrade for me. It’s a complete game changer in the overall experience imo.

What games make best use of the controller? I've only played Diablo and Final Fantasy so far. Going to get Last of Us and Elden Ring at some point.

Astro is ace.

Otherwise I generally turn it off. Adaptive triggers are nightmare for shooters and I haven't yet played other games that take proper advantage of haptic.

Think Returnal and Demon Souls are meant to make good use of it.

I'm not into the whole Xbox vs PS thing as i've always been team Sony but can anyone list any of the big hitters that Sony are going to miss when this activision deal goes through? Spyro and Crash (i don't play either ) are obviously big franchises but CoD is not an exclusive (i don't play that anyway).

Don't think i'm going to be missing out on much but might be wrong, hence the question.

Nah. Cod will just go Xbox first with marketing and might have some extra skins and stuff, plus be on gamepass day 1 at some point.

Don't think there's any major IP losses to PS. Maybe Diablo long term but I think that'll stay on PS too.

Pasta partnerships and Peppa Pig on PS Plus. I can see why it’s so rosey on this side to be fair. Surprised this hasn’t made the thread title.

Its probably easier to answer which games make use of it at all. PS5 exclusives basically.

I think they're both terrible to be honest. Playstation has been better and i dont think Microsoft buying everyone and everything will start paying off till next generation so stick with sony imo. Xbox probably has better online multiplayer stuff, maybe that would make a difference for you.

Nothing really. The next Diablo might be first party but that's 5/6 years away. It was more about getting the cash cows of COD and King. As long as MS doesn't kill the goose they'll bankroll Xbox for the foreseeable future.

I can honestly say I've never interacted with my PS5 in that way.

@rimaldo might be able to help

not with an elbow getting stuck. i’ve fallen on to it a couple of times after getting out of the shower, but it wasn’t my elbow stuck those times.

Thanks mate.

With Xbox now owning Activision and having the rights to CoD, maybe Playstation should do the same with EA and get Battlefield?

That isn't the reason to do it, though. The real reason would be to tell the EA publishing team that they're being forced to work on a project that they don't want to, make them use Frostbite even though they haven't used it before, and after two years fire them all and close their offices. See how the feckers like it when it happens to them.

Try Resident Evil 8 With VR 2. Its just insane. Completely insane.

I usally end up buying all consoles. (Big ones)
But this time around only PS5 and Nintendo switch.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. It's excellent in that game.

Horizon Forbidden West is pretty good as well.
