UnrealGod is shining on me. A random comment on a neighbours ps5 accessories post has landed me with a ps5. He had 2 pre orders in and is gonna let me have one
Was going to say that was oddly good of them, until I saw it was only 4 games. Wonder if its the Yakuza that comes free on PS+ collection? Avengers is mildly interesting, but I have heard it isnt very good

Nah it’s Yakuza like a dragon, but discount is for Xbox version only.
Control is the Ultimate edition and is £35, so effectively £5 with discount. Dirt and Avengers are available for both versions.

For context he is a Liverpool fan and was quite happy to gloat at the earlier US release date compared to the UK and how he would be enjoying his PS5 for a whole week before me.

It needs to be from Currys as we have a voucher from there from when I worked somewhere you got staff discounts on them them im paying the remaining cost. However Currys don't really give any info on their website on availability

You'll just have to keep looking at stock trackers but I'll be honest - it is going to be very difficult to get it this side of Christmas unless you find someone who has multiple orders and wants to give you one.
Got my controller today buzzing, though I don't have anything else coming. At least I'll get to hold it for a few months, take it to bed etc so my hands are used to it and I hit the ground running
Spiderman MM never turned up today. Doesn't matter as it was shipped a week early, but I won't be happy if the PS5 is late.

Little to no chance in my opinion there’s a massive demand and on top if the initial launch it’s the Christmas period. Keep checking stock I think it will be a while before it’s sat on shelves.

Got my controller, charging dock and headset from ShopTo earlier. Not even unboxed them yet. Gonna wait for the console to arrive.
Not sure what the return policy is, but I'd unbox and make sure everything at least turns on in case there are issues.

Are you going to play games off the external? Or just store them and move them over? I would recommend storing and moving, so you benefit from the faster loading times.
But wish they had SSD expansion like Xbox at launch.
