Very disappointing they won’t upgrade Spider-Man to PS5 if you’ve already got the game.
I could be wrong as is often the case, but it seems they learned their lessons between the PS2 and then 360 as far as launch reliability goes. More valid reasons to wait other than covid ushering in a zombie apocalypse would be having an old TV where you couldn’t see the difference or waiting on a bundle deal that gives you more value. Is there any good reason to actually get this or the new XBox right away rather than just wait for a v2 when the overheating and other issues have undoubtedly reared its ugly heads and things like VR accessories are widely available? I get wanting to be at the forefront but especially with new consoles it seems like it kind of pays to wait a bit.
Wait so can you still play spider man on the ps5 anyway? Without the upgrade

Never played it so going to go for the MM Ultimate Edition.Yes.
They have done a new version with a few updated character models for the optional ps5 upgrade patch. But Spiderman and virtually every PS4 game will be playable on PS5 day 1.
I'm not fussed on the Spiderman 1 update, I played it on PS4 and just want the new game on launch

God of War is probably my favourite game this gen, you'll enjoy it! (unless you're weird like @Irwin99)It's amazing. It's the top selling game on PS4 for good reason. I have never been into comic books and even though it's very different to the modern movie character, this is a great version of Spiderman.
The game that totally passed me by was God Of War. That comes free with PS5 and I am excited to try it.

I think it’s part of the ps plus subscription. GoW, Days gone, Persona 5 and a couple of moreGod of War comes free with PS5?? How?

It's a pretty good list. Ratchet and Clank was one of my favourite games of the generation.
You have to be subscribed to PS Plus but yeah setting up a new PSN account won't matter.Cheers guys - think I’ll need to set up a new PSN account. I assume that won’t matter?
I had one on my PS4 years ago but haven’t used it for 5 years - can’t even remember my username.
Same but I am assuming you can add them all to your library and so have digital versions of them all going forward, which is handy. I am surprised Horizon isn't on the list though. All those free for a PS5 plus subscription? Damn it, I've already bought most of them.

Now only if bloodbourne played at a solid 60fps on PS5, i've seen the video of the guy thats made it run at 60fps on a jailbroken ps4 and its beautiful.
A full bloodborne remaster would be incredible.
God damnit I own all but 2 of those games. Fortunately, one of those two is Days Gone which I was thinking about getting during a sale. Now I know I just have to wait until I get a PS5 to play it for "free" (since I have PS Plus anyway).

The Spider-Man thing is a bit crap IMO. I’ve completed the game but I was looking forward to seeing it with RT and the other graphical updates. Even if I DID buy the ultimate edition of Miles Morales, I’d have to start the original game from scratch because the save games won’t carry over (confirmed).

For sure or a sequel you gotta think one of the two is in the pipeline at some point.
Demons souls looks incredible and i'm going in blind as i got that before i knew what souls games were and throught it was awful and incredibly difficult (i know my failings now!)
Oh come on, if you're that big of a fan, you know you're going to play it. I did a playthrough just a year or two ago and already can't wait to give the remake a go. In terms of launch games, I couldn't really have wished for any better.Demon Souls look absolutely incredibly graphically, but I think completed around 25 ng+'s. Not I sure I can sucked into it without plenty of new content.
It's not the difficulty that makes these games so good, that's a bit of a misconception. It's also what games like Lords of the Fallen and The Surge get so wrong. What makes them so good is From Software's unparalleled world building and the excellent timing and weight of their combat. The difficulty ensures you can't just hack your way through the game which would be a waste of its combat mechanics, although yes, some of its boss fights can be excessively punishing. It's certainly not comparable to playing games like Devil May Cry on the hardest setting, that's proper hardcore stuff. Anyone who's competent at video games and has a bit of determination can finish From Software games.I have never played bloodborne or any of those Souls games. I play games on normal difficulty and don't enjoy dieing 5000 times to work out how to kill a boss.
I understand the appeal for some, but I know enough about those games to know they aren't aimed at me
I did like GoW it's just very....8 out of 10; a bit like Ghost of Tsushima in that it gets raved about so much and although I enjoyed both of them they wouldn't be on my classics list. Is that blasphemy? As I said it's a good game though.God of War is probably my favourite game this gen, you'll enjoy it! (unless you're weird like @Irwin99)
Has anyone here played the Spyro Triology remake? I used to love them as a kid and feel like they could be nostalgic but I'm not sure if they will actually be all that great anymore. Its currently on sale on the store which is tempting me immensely...
I'm tempted as a relaxing experience. Not played them myself, but my girlfriend played them as a kid and said she really enjoyed the remake.

Wish they’d remake Pandemonium. Great fun back in the day.

Think we are waiting on more clarification - PS4 saves for Spiderman won't carry across to the PS5 remaster, but we haven't heard about any others yet.So here's two questions that probably can't be answered yet, but I'll ask the caf experts anyway
1. I presume that all my PS4 save files that are backed up to my PS plus account will be downloadable and usable on PS5. e.g. I install Bloodborne digital version on PS5 and can then download my PS4 save so I can carry on playing from where I was on PS4? (I assume the answer to this has to be yes otherwise the whole system is utterly broken and nobody will want to start again on every game they already own)
2. Currently I own 2 PS4s and I have the one downstairs as the Primary with my son logging in on his kid account and able to use all my games - while the secondary one is upstairs and as I am the PS-Plus account holder I am able to use that PS4 at the same time as my son and nothing breaks. I will be putting my PS5 upstairs and I am hoping that we will still be able to do exactly the same as we do now - that is - I will not be forced to make the PS5 Primary because it is the shiny new machine? Perhaps I may even be able to have a Primary PS4 and also a Primary PS5 giving me the best of both worlds?
