That's how much it should've been at launch!

If I didn't have Witcher 1, 2 & 3, Batman, Star Wars and Elite: Dangerous on the go, I'd think about making a comeback.
Arkham Knight? How is that?

I would say its pretty average. The missions have been pretty boring from what I've played (40% I guess). It's a nice looking game though and its fun to just glide around. Would give it 7/10 at most

Thanks. I'll probably steer clear then. Don't have a load of time anyway.

Right, I think someone explained this before, but...

What is the difference between Vice City (PS3) and Vice City (PS4)? Same with San Andreas...

Am I right in saying the PS3 version, even though it says "Playstation 2" on it, is a remastered version, whereas the PS4 version is the straight PS2 classic?

This is so confusing. It's pretty terrible that they don't give you both versions together too.

Niceee!

Watch it be on PS5 aswel/instead with how long that'll take to produce. Wouldn't be a bad thing though, imagine that as a launch exclusive.

It's only relating to the first title of Kojima Productions though.

Why on earth did Konami fire him btw? It's Hideo Kojima ffs.

Maybe it's me. But I think there's more to this Kojima and Konami story. Kojima isn't the innocent party that everyone makes him out to be.

I saw some idiot on neogaf write that Konami forced him to rush MGS 5. Which is silly as he had more than 7 years to make the game.

People really need to look at it from the side of Konami. MGS isn't a big seller like COD or GTA. The high development cost and low sales compared to other games with similar development cost.

The game has sold around 5 million copies with a development budget of $80m. 5 million is good sales, but not for a budget like that.

It was about budgets and times. Sony wouldn't take him on to head any major projects either given they have enough people who go wildly over budget as it it. So part funding their first game works well for both sides and if it goes well we'll see more of it.

PES makes the money, Kojima spends it was the old Konami saying wasn't it ?

They do, like 10 times as much, and at far less cost, IIRC.

The pachinko business in Japan overall(not just Konami) makes 241 billion dollars profit yearly.
Bonkers. And I gather Konami has a good chunk of that market?

All in all it seems a good decision to part ways. Kojima is probably my favorite game creator. Hopefully he gets the platform/environment he wants for his next game.

I actually had no idea MGS had a sales to cost issue. I just took it took it for granted that a game so iconic would sell like hotcakes and make tons of money.
