Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

The new NFS is bafflingly shit. Please don't buy it. It's a rental at best. Can be platinumed in two days.

Yeah, I wouldn't usually have played it but my brother bought it on xbone and we gameshare so I have it a go, I was sickened by the first 10 ins andthose fecking cutscenes are horrific. Game isn't enjoyable at all really.

I'm not 100% certain, but I think they're one of the biggest pachinko companies.

I didn't know what pachinko was. Googled it. It looks amazingly, may I say bafflingly, shite. It's literally one of the worst things I've seen in my life.

Yeah, they look like real junk.

You throw 100 balls into the machine, then have zero influence on what happens, but keep watching the screen with lots of hard to understand stuff. And it makes $241billion a year. Japan.

Not only Japan either, apparently they're taking off in Vegas too. :wenger:
Amazes me how some people actually enjoy this sort of stuff. Pinball is 100 times better and pinball is already sort of a bore.

Do PSN do boxing day sales? Got a couple of PSN vouchers but don't want to buy games when they're full price as the psn store is ludicrous.

I'm not sure dude. But if you've got vouchers i'd wait 24 hours and see.

I would guess that the sale that is currently on will be as good as it gets - think most of the prices run through the new year, so unlikely that there will be an additional sale - could be wrong though!

Managed to get Assassin's Creed on cdkeys for only £15 so that's out of the way. Which PS4 games should i be looking to get? I want longevity and depth preferably. I'm thinking of FF X/X-2 but waiting for it to go on sale so that's one of my choices. Any other ideas?

Witcher 3, Gta V

if anyone struggles with net-speed on their ps4, change your dns to Google's open dns. 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Just a quick question for any PS4 users who are online - we're getting a console and wonder if it's worth getting the 1TB as opposed to the 500GB?

It depends on how much you plan on using it and how you will be buying games. Of course 1TB is always nicer to have but if your going disc based it's not much hassle to just delete games when finished with them as they background install anyway. 500GB fills up quicker than you would think though.

Depending how tech knowledgeable you are I would recommend the 500gb to start with and see how that goes. You can buy games digitally and leave them in installed and just download and delete as you use. But they will always be purchased.

Also even using disc based games some installs are 30gig plus, even 50gig sometimes. It's rare most people play more than 1 or 2 games at a time though.

The reason I suggest 500gb for techies is you can easily swap out the HDD for a larger one at a later date if need be. For a better price too

Depends if you plan to download often or not and what games you plan to get. Like Leg-End says the 500GB fills up quite quick. Whichever you decide to get, upgrading the hard drive yourself is easy and cheap enough though voids the warranty I think.

500GB fills up very quick, especially as some games like The Witcher 3 and Elder Scrolls Online require quite a large save despite being disc based games. It does get quite annoying having to uninstall games tbh.
