Think it's with golf carts? We did once and my team actually cruised to victory. Only thing I've actually been good at and since my team won it they haven't bothered bringing it up again since...

Yeah, you should see what I was doing tonight.
I need to hop on a bit more, been distracted by Football Manager.

Was watching this as we speak.

Do you guys normally place those kinds of games?

That's the version we play (put it on mute before playing). We usually do it for one lap, but the other day with five of us we did it for three laps. Two finished it right away and me, Duffy and Bred still had the last two laps to do. Bred was on a motorbike while Duffy and I were on quads. With those two I was nice and mostly didn't knock them off, and they left me to my devices of taking five hours to go up hill. Took us about 30 mins to complete it.

You can't be nice when you're playing GTA Damien, get into the spirit ffs!

Oh! Feck the hell out of that.

Yeah it's horrible.

I'll show you some clips from tonight tomorrow. In one race everyone had to drive pantos around a little circuit. I stayed at the start and tried to ram everyone as they finished each lap. One person I rammed ended up on the other side of the circuit. Good times.

You absolute monster.

Do you guys play that awesome gamemode with the cars on the platform in the sky and you play in teams and try to kill the other team by running them over/pushing the cars off the platform? @Damien
Yep, there is the roller-coaster one its alright, i have only made it to the other check point once or twice, there is one where we end up in the airbase jumping over buildings and finishing by jumping in to the sea and at this point @Big-Red fecks it all up:lol: missing the marker over and over.

I love the sky rollercoaster race - despite what Damo says no one targets anyone specifically - it just naturally plays out once someone makes it to the top then they get targeted. I actually think it is a very fair race usually!

I think I am getting less interested in races where we just try to take each other out (aside from the ones like sky rollercoaster, or the one at the racetrack that are specifically created for that purpose).

I usually really like the Long Haul race we do - that race is long enough that even if you get totally taken out, you usually have plenty of time to catch back up. What is fun on that race is when you have a group of you together. To that end, I won't try and take out people on their own as I overtake them - if there are two of you alone, then it makes more sense to repeatedly slipstream each other so you can get back with the others. Once there are a few together, then it generally becomes chaos - which is where the fun is for me! Being spun out when all you are trying to do is catch up with everyone else is not so fun.

I also like the end of that race - as with the slipstream and catchup it usually comes down to the wire - unless you get taken out totally instead as I happened to last night. I know it's just my patience issue - but had no desire to finish the race after that - or do anymore races.

The other thing that seems to happen more and more is either people taken others out for no reason - such as what Damo was doing "In one race everyone had to drive pantos around a little circuit. I stayed at the start and tried to ram everyone as they finished each lap. One person I rammed ended up on the other side of the circuit. Good times." or more recently it's betting your money on someone else and then taking everyone else out instead of trying to win the race.

Like I said, I know this is just my personal frustration - it is GTA after all - but I prefer the more collaborative elements of the game and can't be arsed to spend my time getting frustrated! Think I am going to try and finish off getting the heist awards instead of racing all the time.

EDIT - I should say that this isn't an attempt to suggest people should play it differently or anything like that - not my business to do that! But just that it stopped being as fun for me as it was, so will probably be on there less.

Any Witcher 3 players out there help me with a query? I got this for £25 on the PS Store the other day (what a deal!) and I've just started it but I noticed there's a bunch of free armour sets and weapons on the PS Store too, If I download them now will they be useable immediately or will I just get the 'recipe' (the correct word is escaping me here) where i'll have to get all the items needed to make them to take to the blacksmith/Armoury guy, also do any of you know if they have quite high stats? I'm tempted to get them but not if I'll end up being overpowered too early on and ruin any sense of progression with my character.

Just because you never win :p I find it hilarious being wiped out, it brings the best reactions out of people. I do like just normal races though too. Just a bit difficult because I actually don't mean to wipe people out half the time, I just go in too hot or am already spinning out.

I like that one where you protect your team mate and the one with bikes and trucks.

Didn't some missions come out not long back? I can't remember doing anything properly for ages.

It won't matter. All armor has a minimum level before you can equip it.

To be honest, I prefer the missions and heists too, but quite like the races.

They'll be made(rather than recipes), but will have to be bought, good stuff, but IIRC not ridiculous for their levels.

I agree completely. I'm up for continuing the first person heists or whatever

Aye I think im getting Armour mixed up with the Alchemy system there, I've only really played a few hours so far but it looks fantastic.

Nah, you were right, you can get recipes, or blueprints or whatever, for armour and swords too. I can't remember the name of it, but early on there's a few side missions to get the method to make a nice collection of gear, the Viper School, maybe?

 I am more than used to not winning :) Aside from specific instances where I try and take someone out - a lot of my contact is accidental - like you it's because I'm struggling to control the car in the first place!

There were some missions as part of the lowrider release. The problem with the mission is that most of them are limited to 4 people - so if we have more, then we either do the same couple of missions over and over, or we just do races. Don't get me wrong - the races have been a lot of fun - and as much as I am happy to give Stoney shit for the playlists he puts together, they are often pretty fun and am always happy to try a new race etc.

In the crew lobby yesterday, one of the events was the flying checkpoints one. Trying to do any of them in public lobbies is pointless, as all you get are people looking to shoot everyone down, instead of actually competing. I think I must have an idealized view of what online could / should be! But last night I was about to get into one of the spawned planes to start the challenge but Levo shot me and took the plane instead. I guess I was just in a funk - as that might have sometimes made me laugh, or maybe I'm more aware of not wanting to waste my time - but it just gets tiring that sort of thing happening every time.

Agreed. I ended up driving my plane into the water at the bottom of the airport and so by the time I got out and near another heli the time had ran out :( otherwise I think we would have completed it. We'd have definitely completed it if Parmo had tried to do it instead of driving around in an Insurgent(?)

True, but then you do often do things that serve to annoy others - shooting out all the tires on cars we are supposed to be driving springs to mind! Our shooting so we end up getting a wanted level.

;)

I don't do it intentionally. Anyway when you, me Stoney and Duffy were doing them the other day things went pretty smoothly. Only incident of note was accidentally shooting while in the stolen cop car with Stoney.
