Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

Not watching but apparently there's an HD version of Full Throttle? That could be cool, though personally I like the pixel art on all those Lucas Arts adventure games.

Well, that was underwhelming. Most of the indie games look boring to be honest, and the good games aren't even that exciting.

Went in not expecting anything and came out with FF7 gameplay, new Ace Combat and Yakuza 0, not bad.

Feck that VR and MOBA shite though.

What the feck is going on with Sony 1st party studios?

It's times like this I miss weaste. He would have some fantastic excuse

Seriously though @Redlambs what are they doing?

I'm delighted about NI no kuni, loved part one. Is this definitely an exclusive though..some chatter on Twitter suggesting only a timed

I came into the thread expecting to hear I can download Crash Team Racing onto my PS4.

I'm disappointed.

The reality has sunken in that they spend way too much money and take waaay too long to pump out games.

Sony aren't in the kind of shape to spend the ridiculous money they have in the past, so everything is scaled back. As good as some of their teams are at what they do, most are bloated and hugely expensive, and Weaste wouldn't have it that it would have to come to an end.

Sadly the money is with tried and tested and rehashes these days. Look at the prices of those PS2 games for example!

The price of those ps2 games is ridiculous

I'm sure far smarter people than me decide these things, but if each game was 5 quid each people would jump at them and surely make them far more cash

To think naughty dog churned out 4 massive games last gen and haven't even released one yet this time round

Santa Monica not one game, the infamous team not a peep since secound son, no sign of grand turismo. I heard during the week Sony bend were definitely going to announce something and not a thing from them either.

I hope for their sake VR is a hit or trouble is on the horizon for ps5

Sony's 1st party studios have been pretty bad this gen. I don't really like any of their IP's anyway and most of them seem average

God of War
Uncharted
Killzone
The Order
Infamous
Heavy Rain/Beyond

Last of Us was good though and Bloodbourne is meant to be great but I haven't played it yet

I don't think ms have anything to brag about either following that halo game. im not quite over it yet how disappointed I was with that game.

This gen is all about the multi plats and the odd 3rd party exclusive/timed exclusive

Halo 5? I love it. What's happened, you love everything.

Halo 5 single player was a real shit show. And although I do know the multi player is great I have struggled to get into it for some reason. I'm blaming the fact we got burned bad on the MCC and the single player this time out and I might now be done with halo.

Anyway, I'm not even arsed about any sort of comparison, but first party on PS4 has been absolutely terrible 2 years in. If we're to assume that this cycle will be shorter and more typical of a normal cycle (5 years), the second half is fast approaching and will have lots to make up for.

Not worried about Uncharted, beta looks great and what we've seen of the single player looks awesome of course. Not sure anything else is on the horizon that looks particularly impressive yet though. Horizon looks like it could be fun, but I don't have huge expectations for it. Maybe that's because I think Killzone is shite though.

Agreed on their 1st parties

I'm trying to think of non remastered games. I really liked infamous 2nd son, apart from that killzone was very poor and I never played knack which was supposed to be shit

Is that really it?

Bloodborne.

In fairness, I liked Infamous for a few hours but then stopped playing. I found it a bit boring after a while but it's my general sort of game. Maybe I was just done with third person open worlds for a while, or I just needed to get that next power to really enjoy it.

I'm half an hour into The Order, and I still haven't got Bloodborne.

Bloodborne ain't 1st party. (Although it's exclusive) That is my favourite game this gen

Until dawn was also a superb exclusive. Again though that isn't a Sony 1st party studio

The order was extremely average but worth a play through and an easy platinum if you are into that

I think the only Xbone exclusive I would want is Tomb Raider
