Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

I completed Everybody's Gone To The Rapture the other day, it's a really nice game, gorgeous looking too. It's more of an interactive story type game though and the level of interaction pretty much boils down to opening doors, manipulating balls of light, listening to conversations from the past, turning on radios and listening to phone calls etc so take that on board before getting it. Having said that, I really enjoyed it, the storyline's solid and interesting but the thing that sets it apart from being just a "walking simulator" is the strong narrative and how you use your imagination to put it all together. I don't wanna put any ideas into peoples heads that might play it so I won't say much about what happened/is happening as its very much down to interpretation. If you're on a PC you've probably seen alot of these types of games but for a console gamer it was a nice breath of fresh air, if you've £15 spare and like these types of games, if not wait till its under a tenner for a nice, well written & thought provoking chilled out experience.

I've gotten a little confused now though, I preordered and got a code which sent me to the Call of duty site and when activated gave me the 3 codes which are now gone. and now I've received and email with another 3 different codes :confused::confused:
Strange - will try the code you sent me this eve.

If you have a code spare when all the first lot are working I wouldn't mind one

Did everyone not learn their lesson with Black Ops 2, Ghosts and Advanced Warfare? Or should I say, have you not seen the trailers for Black Ops 3?

Ugh.

Plus Black Ops 2 was an awesome game, probably the last good Call of Duty really. Plowed hours into that with a few mates, never had the urge to with the new ones.

It's a free (preorder/cancel) beta.

I was half joking and it's fair enough because it's free. I thought Black Ops 2 was ok, wouldn't say awesome, but it was certainly better than Ghosts and AW. I wasn't joking about the new trailers for Ops 3 though, it really does look dire.

Same here - really liked that.

I'm not a fan of the direction the series has gone with regard to more futuristic weapons and the jet pack things, but will give this beta a go.

A few years ago there was an overload of WW2 games - now there is an almost total absence! Would love a proper gritty WW2 game...

I need to finish Ground Zeroes before MGSV is released. knowing Amazon, they will ship one week after anyway.

FFS I forgot about the Call of Duty beta...man I really wanted to play it as well

Ground Zeroes is fantastic. It was the first MGS I played and I loved how it allowed you to tackle the mission in multiple ways...also the end is pretty epic so you should finish it off yourself.

I preordered the game on Amazon but didnt get the Beta code...feck it all!!

I tried the Shopto one but it seems you cant cancel the preorder afterwards if you use the code

I'm fairly certain that all preorders with DLC codes come with the same T&Cs regards cancellation after taking the codes/offers

I contacted the Amazon customer service and they gave me a code so its alright now.

I'm sure Shopto said that if you click the activate code button then you are entering a binding contract with them or something like that

Yeah will do... also there is some videos where they summarize previous mgs. Need to watch that as well.

Is it any good? Last ice hockey game I had was one of the old 2k ones, well, besides EHM's recent re-release.

I don't know, that's why I'm asking here. Last time I heard was that typical EA removed some of the features.

Any spare codes for the BO 3 beta? Not played COD since MW2 so would be interesting to see if I would still enjoy it.

I played a couple of games of it last night. I played MW, MW2 and Black Ops a lot back in the day, but haven't played many FPS on the PS4.

Felt like COD, only faster. Players moved faster, plus there is the jumping and sliding now - so you feel as thought everyone is just rushing around like flies. Felt too fast to me - although maybe I have just gotten slower! It looks good, and the weapons seem pretty good - only takes a couple of bullets to kill someone - which is good as it makes the guns feel legitimately powerful, but not so good as it makes it easy to be killed!

@Big-Red said he would be up for getting this type of game and playing in some Caf sessions. That could be a laugh. My biggest issue with these games is that you feel underpowered compared to other players v quickly. Not sure when the beta was released, but I saw loads of people at level 20. The guns get so much better as you progress, that you feel severely underpowered at the beginning.

There are so many games coming out over the next few months that I think are much more engaging and more enjoyable than COD, so don't think I will be getting this one.

I played last years COD on PS4 and I find BO3 beta to be at a slower pace to the previous game, I didn't really enjoy the online aspects of the game last year and I feel this year will be no different having played a few games of the BETA I'm really not liking the future style in shooters to many drones flying around and UAV helping locate your position. i'll style buy it and play the campaign than more than likely trade it in within a few weeks.
