Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

Yeah I think it is, all real time and dynamic. They've spoke in detail about the sun and lighting so I'm going to assume it's the same for the weather effects.

I'm not sure about general weather effects, but the dynamic weather system won't be available at launch.

The dynamic weather system can see it start to rain mid race and the track get slippy etc etc.

That's the best looking game I've seen so far this gen. Flawless.

I'm not into racing games, but this looks like a must buy on those graphics alone.

Tbh I wasn't expecting this game to look and sound that good, need to find a good wheel for this.

The weather won't be, no but I'm not sure why you're replying to me with that?

Patched in 'soon after' whenever that will be. I know its a fairly new implementation though so I can forgive them.

They say it will get patched in shortly after launch... not sure what their definition of shortly is, just putting it out there.

Finally picked up my PS4 today. Bought BF4 and ACIV, so looking forward to playing them. Will wait for FIFA 15, Madden 15, GTAV etc...so those games (plus GTAV on the PS3) will be more than enough to keep me busy!

Child of light is really good, completed it all over the weekend. But it made me feel like a pussy. Luckily I had Wolfenstein to up my man factor following that.

Its pretty good

Just finished Transistor for the second time. Don't usually play games through more than once, but I wanted to go in and get all the trophies I missed.

Really decent game, and I absolutely love the visual design. For me best sound design this year so far.

Fecking hell, that looks amazing. I've never really been into racing games, but this looks breathtaking.

I've not yet decided to get a PS4 but has there been any sort of rumours of Rockstar making a Red Dead Redemption sequel on it? I'd be all over that.

Just completed it for the first time (about 4 years since I bought it) and it's aged pretty well. In fact, I'd argue that it's better than GTA 5. The story (Marston is much more palatable than all 3 of GTA 5's protagonists) setting, environments and atmosphere is brilliant. The rain. That sunset. All brilliant. And considering it came out in 2010.

In fact, people were gushing about GTA 5 and how the character models were wet only up to the point they were in the water. Well, apparently, that's the case in RDR too. Pity Marston can't swim though.

Is this thing worth the money? I've gone through three PS3's now, two of them were second hand and only lasted a few months so I'm without a console at the moment. Generally I'd just play FIFA and maybe GTA or CoD, every now and again I'll buy a game that I like the look of but usually I just stick to FIFA and one or two others. So should I bite the bullet and get a PS4 or am I better off trying to get a PS3 on the cheap again?

Get a PS3 on the cheap... from what you said you don't need a PS4.

I like my PS4 but little things annoy me. The fact that we still cannot change our PSN ID is stupid. Why don't they take a leaf out of MS book and charge us like £6 a time to change it? It would make loads of dollar for Sony!

And messages in my inbox. I press 'delete' on them but they just won't disappear!

I started Watch Dogs earlier, played the intro. Loving it so far - took me ages to find my apartment though

Basically ND have given players the option of locking it to 30 fps so fans of the original can replay it that way if they want.

People get so obsessed with 30fps, 60fps, 720, 1080p, Super High Def HDDDD etc these days when in reality, I couldn't tell if I was playing a 720 or 1080p game most of the time, and your average gamer wouldn't be able to either.

I blame PC gamers - they'd rather talk about specs all day than play games ;)

Speak for yourself mate...

Graphics are overstated anyway - is the game good is the most important question, the rest of it just nerd hype.

www.gamestop.co.uk

£29.97 or £9.97 with trade in of specific games.

Where are the list of 'specific' games i can't find it on the website? 9.99 is a good deal obviously depending on waht game you have trade in though.

Edit: found it, not to worry!

On any modern TV the difference between 720p and 1080p is very noticeable, as is the difference between 30 and 60fps. Your average person with functioning eyes will be able to tell the difference.

Just ordered my PS4 so I can play TLOU when it comes out! Any game people recommend so I've got something to play when it arrives?
