Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

So far I don't see any real big difference between PS4 and high-end PC gaming, perhaps most developer wouldn't want to go too far in developing ultra high quality gaming experience in PC platform having cost control and profit return in mind. Although there will definitely be some notable difference in terms of resolution and framrate, its not worth for average gamer to pay triple the price or more just for a little better graphics IMO.

@WeasteDevil Will there be a price drop in the UK soon? I'm going to buy it on Tuesday but if it falls then I can wait a few days.

Can we please not do this again. Especially so missinformed.

I don't know of a price drop in the UK, only that one is happening at E3 for the USA as that's the troublesome market. USA and the UK is where Microsoft isn't that far behind, even with the old price disparity. With the Kinectless Xbox One soon available and the price cut that goes with it, Sony have lost that differentiation and want to correct it. It might include the UK.

Well just from my own experience from the games we have up to this point, I could still change my view if there are more games to compare later.

It's not triple the cost for a start. Nowhere near in fact. For me PC gaming is actually cheaper across the generations by a fair way. In fact what I saved last gen would fund my machine competing with this one.

But it really has been done to death on here.

The problem is infrastructure, it's a simple as that. If anything, it's Sony that's trying to push the no console future. You'll see tomorrow with Playstation Now. They've spent a lot of money there. The odd thing is that they are also about to push VR, and there's no current way for that to work AT ALL using net streaming. Typical Sony really, make shit, chuck it at the wall, and then see what sticks - it's a cancer that runs throughout the entire company, not just SCE.

Any place where PS+ is going cheap?

Yep. Just like they invented the very concept of casual gamers.

The only difference between Sony and Ms in this regards is the latter stupidly announed what they had planned for the future and pissed people off.

Would having a 720p TV be good enough to play the ps4 on?

Sure it'll work and look fine, but if your like me it will nag at you that it could look better elsewhere. Eventually did upgrade.
I do have a better TV in the house but people watch TV on it practically all the time so it's a bit annoying.

As I said it'll work fine, looks good as well. I used one for months, but was probably due an upgrade anyway.

Does he know something others don't?
He's a HUGE Sony fanboy. I'm surprised you haven't seen some of his posts. Hijacks every goddamn thread, bleating on about how awesome Sony is. Between you and me, frankly, it's a little embarrassing.
