You're not kidding.
I can't believe the dearth of games, the lack of graphical progress and how shit the controller is (my battery goes every 5 minutes, the analog sticks have already worn down and come off, and the left analogue stick has broken).
I was hoping Watchdogs was going to be the changer, but it's obvious the original gameplay was on a supercharged PC.
Infamous 2 was meh - best power comes after you've completed the game, scripted physics models, a lifeless city environment, repetitive missions.
Killzone - best looking game I've played, but a generic FPS at the end of the day.
MGS - looks pretty again, though, I hate the way enemies movements are scripted - a headshot shouldn't be the same dramatic fall every time, is the GTA model that hard to replicate? Too short, barely a game, more a demo.
The best games have been Outlast and Resogun, which says a lot.
