Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

My lack of interest in Forza comes from playing the 360 version. I really don't care for racing 'simulations.' I want to pull hand break turns and jump over rivers like The Dukes of Hazzard. Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted are much more my thing. I have skipped Rivals as I am informed that it is too similar to the previous games. Also, one of the developers called it 'average' so if he is not pleased with it, don't expect me to shell out for it.

What about Ryse, Dead Rising 3, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, Max: Curse of Brotherhood, Peggle 2, Killer Instinct, Crimson Dragon, Powerstar Golf, Zoo Tycoon or Project Spark?

And coming out? Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, Halo 5, Halo 2 Anniversary, Gears of War, D4, Fable Legends, Cobalt, Super Time Force, FRU, There Came An Echo, Nujitsu.

You PS4 guys have no interest in those exclusives either? Xbox One has and will have great games on all genres.

By the way, I know it was Randall who brought up that you guys would buy Forza and Titanfall bla bla.

Like I said, I'd buy Dead Rising, had I the console anyway, other than that, Powerstar Golf maybe, though IIRC, I've read it's shite compared to Everybody's Golf, and Project Spark does seem very interesting, but isn't it on PC and 360?

Speaking for myself, as and when a title comes out that I'm really interested in, I'll drop the 300 odd quid and take the plunge (possibly SO or QB, and only as I know nothing about them). Until then, I'm cool homie ;)

Ps. What's D4?

And the rest?

I'm not saying people with PS4 should drop £430 or whatever.. I'm just saying, there's plenty of interesting and different exclusives. It's not some console which only offers shooters or whatever like some make out (not that anybody said that).

Back on topic, possible features for future updates?

I wouldn't mind having the option to appear invisible tbh... not too fussed about the others but I know some people are.

Synchronization of messages across all three platforms makes sense.

Don't particularly give a shit about the rest.

Ps. What's D4?

D4 (which stands for the rather bizarre title “Dark Dreams Don’t Die”) is an episodic thriller that is played only with Kinect gestures and voice controls. It’s an intriguing idea, but it has no confirmed release date as yet and is still in fairly early stages of development.

In D4 you’ll be able to explore the environment, discover clues, interrogate suspects and even fight them all using Kinect for the Xbox One, something that wasn’t possible with the 360 because it couldn’t recognise individual fingers.

D4 will be released in episodic form, with each chunk containing about two hours of story content; Swery says his team at Access Games doesn't yet know how many will be produced, or when the first will come out. Still, D4 is a welcome breath of fresh air in the Xbox One's lineup, and — maybe more importantly — could be the first reason for hardcore gamers to take an interest in the new Kinect, which has seen precious little in the way of announced software support. Will they decide it justifies the $100 premium that Microsoft's console carries over the PlayStation 4? That's harder to predict.

It's a pleasant change from the chilly high-end lustre of a Ryse or a Forza. But is it going to sell anyone on Kinect? Again, I suspect the game's premise and stylings may bury it, but ultimately this is the kind of motion sensitive release I'd like to see more of next generation: experimental and eccentric, but not (yet) to the point of being annoying. As polished as their own efforts appear, Rare and Ubisoft should probably take notes.

Can't say I've heard of them all, of those that I have, Quantum Break is the only one that looks interesting.

It's funny because what seems like a great list of games to @Alock1 looks very meh to me, and I'm sure if I created a list that he'd point out how shite it is... just different tastes. No fanboyism... (ok a little on his part)

It's more the range of games across varying forms and genres. I doubt you've heard of a fair few, and I doubt the PS4 list would be any more appealing for games announced.

@Earthquake - check out Super Time Force, I think you'd like it.

Depends on your time scale, but as it stands, for games where there is solid info out, it's about a tie for me. Most of the games I really wanna see and play are multi-plat.

Thing is, I actually plan on getting an Xbox One sometime.
I had always planned to (like I did last gen), but as it stands it just isn't appealing enough. It will change, and I'll be tempted, but I may only get single players for it. I don't see the point in paying 2 subs if I'll be gaming most of the time on PS4... we'll see huh?

Everyone has different tastes. From those that are out on that list, Dead Rising 3 and Project Spark is just about it. Rest aren't my thing.

I completely understand that. What I don't get though, is those lists cover games of all sorts. To dismiss so many, I can't help but wonder how many people have bothered paying any attention too.

Dead Rising 3 - open world action? Why wouldn't Sunset Overdrive interest you then?

Everyone talking about Hotline Miami - you're not interested in Super Time Force or Cobalt?

I'm talking specifically about the ones in the first line ("from those that are out on that list"). From the ones coming out in future, there'll be more that interest me, but not looked at them in detail.

Plus, with Hotline Miami, it is currently free. I've not actually played it yet so don't know if I'd like it, but from a brief look at the two, I wouldn't get Super Time Force or Cobalt unless they were free too.

Beauty of PS+. Means you download and play games that you probably wouldn't otherwise, and opens you up to new things.

When are we likely to get proper media capabilities? DLNA etc?

Finally found a great reason to switch on my ps4 again... HD porn on pornhub.com

I take it nobody has any idea?

They haven't really given any further information on that, part of the hold up might be they have to be DLNA certified first and might still be going through that process.

An option that we need quickly, if my mates are on as soon as I go on I get requests to play FIFA and sometimes I'd rather not play them!

Yes, sometimes you just wanna chill...

Shite is a bit too strong. But it's not brilliant at all. I was in the beta and I felt I'd pretty much done everything with the 2 or 3 hours play time with it.

Some people dig it though.
I wasnt mad about it during the beta either

Purchased it anyway and got addicted to it. Think I have plunged 25 hours into it now :nervous:

I'd be put off by the lack of single player, to be honest. I'm terrible when it comes to online shooters.

It looks quite original, I'll give it that.

Wow. That GIF is absolutely incredible.

UFC is coming June 17th then, you get Bruce Lee if you pre-order:lol:
