Oh Geoff.
I got laughed at when I said that would be an issue.
Good news anyway.
I have no idea!
When you use the PS3 for example, are you using the same cable or a different one? I'm only asking this because an HDMI cable has several data lines.
Maybe they fecked it up with the recent firmware update? Doesn't sound like a hardware problem.
Wait.. so you wont be able to turn the LED off?
Oh dear.. Sony and it's mixed messaging. Should take lessons from Microsoft.
Know you're only half serious, but you really can't blame Sony for Geoff Keighley not listening properly.
Do you reckon it's because the controller has no other power indicator?
Does it need one, really? How often do you look at the back of a DS3 to see which LED is lit to tell you which controller you are using?
All the time when playing local MP.
Really? Isn't it rather obvious when the game starts what you are controlling?
As I said, it doesn't sound like a hardware problem to me.
Don't see how it can distract you while watching a movie, pretty sure it turns off after a while with no use anyway doesn't it
Go in the BF4 thread and join up with us and the platoon, I need to make a bit of time and get back on...Battlefield is brilliant, just bought it for the first time. Whoever makes COD should be ashamed with what they're putting out
IGN Article:
Sony has revealed that the next major PS4 patch will bring big enhancements to the console's Share function, and also let you turn off HDCP, enabling gameplay capture via HDMI.
The company has revealed that it's prioritising changes and fixes for issues based on user feedback, and plans to release this next patch "soon."
"This upcoming update will add a rich video editor with a simple tool to personalise your video clips, and you’ll also be able to export to and save the videos and screenshots you create by pressing the Share button to a USB drive," a blog post explains. "In addition, this update will add an HDCP off option for capturing gameplay via HDMI, a feature we’ve previously said would come after launch.
"We recognise that some gamers want to record and share longer clips of their gameplay sessions, and we’re excited to deliver this option with PS4. There’s a lot more coming in this update as well, so stay tuned for more — there will be plenty in the update to excite everyone."
Additionally, the company also explained that a separate update is planned to enable you to both archive Twitch broadcasts, and raise their resolution. As soon as we know more regarding a release schedule we'll let you know.
@WeasteDevil why wont remote play switch on my PS4 when I do it locally? it switches it on if I'm out and doing it over the internet.
