Yeah but Naugty Dog did actually make a statement and say it wasn't because of Straley/Druckmann. Could have been anything, she wanted a payrise, creative differences, in-house clashes, wanted a change, personal issues, we won't ever likely know.
Yup, hopefully it works out for both parties... Currently playing U3 & TLoU and I really can't wait to see what they bring to PS4.

How much would you say it's going to cost to upgrade Drive Club from the PS Plus edition to the 'Full game' Edition? £10-20?
Didn't realise they were doing this PS+ edition, which I've just googled. Hadn't planned on buying the game, but I'll be well in there!

It's definately still going to be on PS+ at launch, I don't think they ever said how much the upgrade would be.
The performance of SCEA during his tenure has not been the best has it? He's not responsible for the studios that come under that banner, Yoshida is, Tretton's role was to sell Playstation platforms, and in comparison to his European and Japanese counterparts, he's failed.
From what i can see on most websites, yes. Apparently you'll be able to basically platinum trophy the game with the PS+ version, you just won't be able to get some cars/tracks. But if it's only a tenner or something to upgrade it's probably worth it.
Ok, personally i expected them to scrape it because it was meant to be something to soften the blow of PS4 users being made to us PS+.

Well you could argue he was dealt a rough hand with the PS3, it was late and overpriced and they managed to claw back respectable numbers. But yeah its not like he was pulling up trees with the PSP or Vita, on the upcurve with the PS4 but at this stage I think you can argue thats more because of price and Xbox dropping a bollock.
But yeah other than his shit eating grin at E3, I don't think it really impacts anything. Particularly not for us Europeans.

PS3 got battered in America, 2:1+, it's all fine and dandy talking about it bringing back respectable numbers, but that was because of SCEE and SCEJ. Price and lateness affected them just as much, SCEE even more so.

The PS3 was a year behind its direct rival, $499! With a barren wasteland of Year 1 games, Microsoft pushed that 360 hard in its home market. The fact it got to the sales numbers it did despite offering on the whole the worse of the two online and multiplatform is respectable if you ask me. I fail to see how anyone could succeed in those circumstances, Sony as whole got arrogant and failed hard with the starting years of the PS3.
Driveclub not even coming this year is a possibility it appears. -_- Gran Turismo 7 will end up out before it at this rate.

Think the core game has been done for a whilst, but the fact they have been quite active on social media letting the community know what new visual features they have been working on, suggests they've been doing some upgrading in that time and not just working on 60fps.
I suspect the VR headset is also something to do with it.
