Just watching the highlights of the 7-1 game against Roma in 2006/07.

Alan Smith was the starting centre forward that night.

Incidentally, he's still playing now, in League Two for Notts County.

He was a good striker, the injury and Fergie trying to turn him in to a centre midfielder ruined him.

Had that defensive partnership with Scott Dann for one season at Birmingham. In fact I forgot about a lot of that team looking at it...

Didn't he move to Wolves and just get pissed all the time?

Seem to remember both of them being touted for England at one point.
 
Solomon Kalou.. can't believe he's only 32 and putting up decent numbers in Germany for Hertha Berlin.

Robin van Persie. Is he still at Fenerbache??

Just 3 years ago he was scoring for fun in the Premier League and World Cup.
 
Tomas Rosicky. IIRC, he was basically bunking in the Arsenal physioroom for at least 2 years before making a short-lived comeback. I actually thought he had retired. :lol:

Ah yes, was talking about out clean sheet run with my mates yesterday and had totally forgotten who scored the goal than ended it, knew that he was a decent player, couldn't remember his name.

Pretty much, managed to get relegated three seasons in a row too.

They were, everyone fawning over them at one point. Looked good in a compact defence with ten men behind the ball.
 
Benoît Assou-Ekotto. Always thought he was ok. Currently playing in Ligue 1 with FC Metz.
