Players you DON'T want us to sign this summer!

Bale, ridiculous price for somebody who might not fit in and might not be an improvement over what we have... If Di Maria leaves though, then it's different.
Ings/Benteke/Berahino/Barkley/McCarthy/similar average players in the prem - not good enough.
Cavani/Higuain - never rated them really
Kane - Could yet be a one season wonder

That's with players who at one point or another have been linked with us, definitely missing some others.

Agree completely, when he was tested he was dodgy. He contributed with the ball at his feet and that was important to how they played. Cech is a top shot stopper and wouldn't be expensive you'd imagine

I don't really think either of them are better than Rooney. Prefer we stick with him at striker and have a younger player who won't mind missing some games.

Of all those mentioned for us, I don't want Alves. Good player, but not what he was a few years ago. He'd be what Maicon was for Citeh a few years ago, a waste of money.

Don't want Ings, as he seems more Pool/Spurs quality. He'd be depth at best for us and I'd rather spend that money on someone else.
 
Its interesting that some of you dont want Ronaldo.
He is the reigning ballon d'or winner, who only a few weeks ago, scored 5 goals in 1 game. Thats more goals in 1 game than Falcao managed the entire season!
Is our team so good, that we can't fit the best player in the World, in our team?

Of all the Galacticos, Messi and Ronaldo are the 2 players I would have in our team, without question and be willing to break the World transfer record.
 
There is an arguement for and against every player we are linked with. Truth be told, unless we are signing Messi, Neymar, Modric, Pogba, etc there will always be some people to be unhappy.

From the players we are linked with, i dont want Ings, Milner, Anderson (or any wingers from serie A to be fair, even Salah has looked amazing over there) and Cavani
 
Why is the Ings transfer so sort after, was he really any good this season?
 
People not wanting Ronaldo are unreal....he scores 50 per season....

I don't want Dante and I definitely would not like to buy any other keeper except lloris or Cech

Dani Alves - Im fine if he's #2 RB and comes for free, but not as our starter.

Pogba - Yes for a right price, no for €80M+
Kane - Same, good but overpriced.
Ronaldo
Bale - Ronaldo and Bale are not only because they are too expensive, Ronaldo is 30. They are great players, but I think we can get younger who have great potential, like Memphis. If they were cheaper and maybe a bit less egocentric, they would be a 100% yes.

Hummels - Cause I love BVB too much. Also he had a troubles season, maybe give him a year to come back to his strength.
Gundogan - Just because he is not fully fit, give him a year to fully recover.
Strootman - Same as Gundogan.

The no's seem to be split between ego and age....both which really dont matter when you can sign one of the best players on the planet who is guaranteed to bag at least 30+ goals a season.

His signing alone would make us instant contenders for the next few years.
 
Lloris and Sterling. Both are highly overrated. Not good enough to play for a team that wants to challenge for the PL every season.
 
I'm open minded. We'll sign who we sign. That way, there's no disappointment. After what LVG said, I'm sure we'll do a fair bit of business (fingers crossed), but it relies on so many things. How can anyone actually sit there and think, they wouldn't want Bale or this player or that? I don't get it. Bale speaks the language, is still young and can make a real difference. I would also add I don't think Sterling is overrated. He's young and if molded, can be a very effective player. I know about his recent form but you don't need to be Sherlock to offer as to why it might be.

Otamendi is a solid CB and would do the job for us, he had a fantastic season and while his release clause is high (€50m), I'm sure Woodie can manage to get that down a bit.
I think he is the CB we are most likely to sign.

Godin would be my #1 choice, but he doesn't seem to be interested in coming here...same goes for Hummels...who I like but seems to be more injury prone with each passing year.

Not good enough for 30 million pounds, plus he is not young at 27. If the fee was lower, I would be fine with it, but I would rather risk that money with Laporte or Verane and give chances to McNair. Both have potential to outclass Otamendi. He is better than Jones or Evans, but not 30M better.

Felipe Anderson of Lazio looks pretty good....fast, two footed, strong, can dribble and play each wing and CF if needed as well.
I thought he would be a great fit for us, why don't you want him at OT?

Don't get me wrong, he is a talented player but I wouldn't pay the kind of money Lazio are wanting for a guy who is still quite unproven.

Ings, Milner thank God Liverpool stepped in.

I don't want Kane either. Good player should stay at Tottenham.
 
Liverpool seem to be doing a good job in hoovering up mediocrities so we don't have to.
