Players you don't want United to sign this Summer

Lukaku
Barkley (didn't realise he was linked with us?)
Dier
Barkley and Hart were linked to us I think over the weekend (or recently anyway) - Sunday Supplement showed the back-pages with it, but didn't really give them much credence.

I think people are saying Griezmann because it's yet another expensive, high profile player that may end up playing worse than expected or not fitting in unless the entire team is reshuffled with another 4 or 5 signings. After Di Maria and Pogba, I can see why some people might be cautious about Griezmann.

I also have my doubts, but a top class forward who can create and finish chances sure would be nice.
It's a fair point but to rule him out is strange he's so dynamic and quick. I see some similarities in him and Miki actually, both quick clever players with great dribbling and an eye for goal.

James - overrated and doubtful he has the workrate to make Jose happy.

Lindelof - think we can get better. He'd be Plan E/F

Tielemans - not ready yet, and don't think sitting on the bench at OT will do him any good.

Lukaku - never worked out with Jose, why try again? Plus Everton wants way too much. Who do they think they are? Spurs/Levy?

Aside from his poor finishing in front of goal I really can't understand why people are so annoyed with Pogba this season. He's been good.

James
Isco
Lindelof
Barkley
Semedo

I would love Dier who a lot seem to not want.

Any cast off from RM or Barca
Bakayoko - not ready yet to be a starter for us
Aurier - he's a crim who wouldn't be allowed in, anyway

On the fence about Lukaku - he'd score goals and he'd also frustrate me, a bit like Zlatan does. Everton will shaft us, so may as well go all out for Mbappe.

I think he's been fine but people expected better, including me. I'm more looking forward to how he does in the future for us as he's quite the talented player.

I thought Tielemans had a really good game against us and showed a better weight of pass than most of our midfield. I think it's about time we take a chance on a inexpensive youngster who has already shown more than one season of promise.

As for who we should not sign, I think Griezmann. Fantastic player but would mean changing our system again to fit in one player. Would be far better to buy two natural wingers.

I sound so spoilt but oh well:

Lukaku- I don't think he'd be all that here. His touch is erratic and I hate to use the term but he seems like a flat track bully. Like Kane I can't remember the last time he played well against us.

Griezzy- He's fantastic don't get me wrong. Absolutely one of the best players in the world. BUT I feel like it is a waste to buy Pogba for all that money and then play him in a midfield two, which we will need to do if we want to get the best out of Griezmann by playing him just behind a striker. If he could somehow play up top like Liverpool's Firmino interchanging with the front 3 I would be all for it but Mourinho doesn't seem like the type to do that kind of system and we don't know for sure that that will work out so it is risky.

Lindelof/ Keane- If we want a CB it should be someone like Manolas or we ought to go all out for Alderweireld. Not that I want a CB because I don't think we need a starting one. We need a back up more. Someone old enough to slot right in with good experience but also not mind sitting on the bench.

James- Doesn't fit our system.

Bakayoko- He's not a holding midfielder. He'd compete with Herrera and honestly I wouldn't have the patience to wait a year for him to settle in while Herrera is still here.

But I must say, if Mourinho buys one of these players so be it. His transfers are some of the best qualities he brings. If he wants to bring someone in they're probably going to be successful.

If we manage to sign Griezmann I don't really want any other new attacking players

Give the ones we have a chance

Messi, Neymar, Lukaku, Lindelöf, Bakayoko, Lemar, Bernardo Silva, Varane, James, Semedo

Many at all, really. Just for once it would be nice if we paid some attention to the evidence: spending doesn't improve the team, time and a good coach does.

Replace Ibra if he leaves, and 'replace' Carrick with the best candidate money can buy. Look seriously at getting one or two of the kids more involved (specifically Pereira, Timmy and Tuanzebe). In every other position we're fine, and need to focus on continuing to develop what we've got, both as a team and as individuals.

Dembele (Dortmund, Griezman, Mbappe or Lukaku and Dier and then I hope Andreas Pereira will get a chance next season. Perhaps a new left back also?
I think Rooney,Blind,Jones,Januzaj will leave for sure but it will be interesting to see what happens with De Gea,Ibra and Carrick. I hope we keep them all.

Nico Gaitan.

In all honesty though:

Lukakku: His numbers speak for themselves, I just feel like his top level isn't what we should be aiming for.

Bakayoko: Doesn't seem like what the midfield really needs. Seems like something of a hybrid Pogba/Herrera type player. Midfield needs more of a stabilizing presence. Wouldn't be averse to it if it was as a squad player, but not a starter.

Based on past experience, any player leaving Madrid I would rather we not get. I loved James at the world cup, but Madrid aren't being their historically insane selves in terms of selling players these days. If they're trying to shift out a player, either the player doesn't want to leave, in which case we should steer clear, or the player isn't up to the level required, in which case we should definitely dodge. Obviously there would be exceptions, but after ADM i'm wary of the Madrid boys.

Lastly, any old player who's not up to the level required and coming to United off of their name (BFS). If we are signing more experienced players they at least have to be able to contribute something like Ibra does.

You wouldn't want Lemar, Neymar or Silva???
No. Neymar because i hate him, this cheating whining girl.
Lemar or Silva are both pretty comparable to Mata, not really what we need, and not Premier League proven. I doubt they would be better then Mata. Don't get me wrong, i love Bernardo Silva as a player, i already adored him when most in here have never heard about him, but he is not the right player for us right now. I'd like him to go to AC Milan though, my second favourite club :)
We need pace, and players who are good in a 1v1, not more playmakers. We already have enough of them.
As for Lemar, i want to see a second season like this one. Then we can start talking.

He was very good in 2015/16 as well.

Who would you want?

How can anyone say they don't want Griezmann
I understand it, it means potentially sacrificing Pogba, and might make us defensively vulnerable. Pogba isn't exactly very good at getting back.

Dier, Lindelöf, Hernandez, Barkley. I want top talents (Mbappe, Dembele...) or proven world class players (Kroos, Griezmann, Bonucci, Verratti, Godin, Auba...).

Dier
Lukaku
Aurier
Hart
James

Also why do so many people not want semedo, that guy is nearly 10 years younger than valencia and already as good defensively not to mention he is offensively as good as 2009 valencia that we signed. What more does one want in a full back.

James Rodriguez and Isco. We already have Mata and Mkhitaryan for the number 10 role. We need pacy wingers/forwards instead.
