Yes, and may be if he hadn't come outfield it would have been a goal. And obviously nobody would have reproached him that. I must say that not many keepers are able to do that, I've seen him do that many times, last year for some reasons he failed and was called a clown but that's his style : anticipation. Yesterday the French TV said : the real Barthez, the old Barthez we know and admire is back !
As for the save from Richards, can't you understand that when a striker hits a keeper, or seems to hit him, it's because the keeper is well positioned and anticipates well. That a keeper who dives is not well placed. Yesterday he made four important saves and those who don't want to recognize it are just dishonest or don't understand nothing to the goalkeeping art.
